[Meanwhile on Ord Mantell, a three man squad of Imperial Soldiers delivers a "Thank You" message to one of Boba Fett's messengers. The officer delivers the message while a Stormtrooper captain and a Stormtrooper private, Behemoth, stand guard to ensure the drop-off goes smoothly.]

Imperial Officer: Ah! So you must be Mr. Boba Fett's messenger he contacted us about?

Boba Fett Messenger: Indeed, now I believe I am here to pick up a message for him?

Imperial Officer: Here it is. Give this to him as soon as possible, it is from Lord Vader.

Boba Fett Messenger: I will be sure to do that.

Imperial Officer: And tell Mr. Boba Fett that we'd like to continue with more business in the future.

Boba Fett Messenger: I will inform of this, take care now.

Imperial Officer: Farewell, bounty hunter.

I think this is some kind of record. For a super quick entry you've done a good job. I'm not sure you've captured the feel of Ord Mantell very well, but at least you haven't contradicted what the planet looks like by using trees or something else out of place. Your story also doesn't fit the SW canon, because other Mandalorians didn't have much to do with Boba Fett or vis versa. But, I won't complain about seeing a build from you instead of more posts, and neither should your team since you've earned them the first points of the contest!

Also, just out of curiosity, is your sigfig the one with the helmet or the one without?

I kind of rushed this one but I will definitely get up another (possibly better) one up in the next few days or so. I also don't really have good parts that would go well with a Bounty Hunter in the Star Wars universe but is any torso and gear allowed? I have this guy I could customize but I'm not sure if it's okay to do so.

As of now, the Stormtrooper without the helmet is my sig-fig but I'll be placing orders on BrickLink in the very near future for more parts so my official sig-fig should be up hopefully next month.

Wow, that goe`s fast  .

Nice entry!

markus

Yeah, but it hardly met the criteria of this challenge.

I will definitely get up another one, possibly better, in the very near future. I didn't realize how hard it was to work with a 16x16 platform! :look:

It's always great to see Imperial entries!

Nice use of the Indiana Jones cloth part hiere.

Thanks, I managed to have found the piece after a few years so I figured I use it for once.

You can see from the build it is a quick one, but it's quite remarkable how much you've managed with so few pieces  .

The tent is quite nice. That piece of cloth was indeed a very good choice. One small problem is that the cloth is only attached at two points, so it won't be of much use when the first bit of wind comes around. So, evidently, adding another pole would be an easy and nice way to improve. You could also go with a less conventional shelter, and attach a side of the cloth directly to the ground. That would even make it more of a quickly erected shelter for the meeting. Maybe a crate that contained the pieces or tools needed to make the tent could also make for a nice addition. It would make the space look a bit less empty.A small table could do the trick as well. I hope you see this way that some small additions can already make your build look more interesting, since they help to tell the story.

On to the natural part of the build. I hope you forgive me if I say that it is quite bare. Of course, when you go for that kind of landscape, that's the effect you want to achieve. But that doesn't mean you can't build anything. Take those pebbles. They don't look quite natural, and I think a small assembly of cheese slopes would make for a more convincing piece of stone. I think a small rock protruding the sand makes more sense than some random pebbles in that wasteland. There could even be a small piece of wreckage peeking through the sand. That would be a bit hard to do, but it would definitely give your scene more character. It would make it stand out, and that's what we're trying to achieve.

There aren't a lot of pieces in this build, so it leaves more to be wanted than to be loved. But still, you managed to make it look realistic (in a simplified form) with a minimum of pieces. So well done on seeing the big picture already. Now you can start working on the details. We're glad to have you on the Empire (also with your rather nice writing, again a good sketched story with a small amount of words!). Hope you have a great time!

Thanks, BEAVeR! I will definitely do much better on my last entry that I can do and since all entries are considered WIP's, I'll probably revisit this one and make more changes since I didn't deconstruct the MOC yet.

What a nice simple MOC. It sure looks quick, but it doesn't look rushed and thus incomplete. Of course there's some places to improve it, but it's simple and the tent is a nice idea. My sugestions would be that you remove a stormtrooper or position both behind the officer bringing the note. I understand they wouldn't be seen in that angle, but this way it looks like they came from a different direction than the officer. And anyway it would've been the officer to stand in the shade first before the troopers. Also adding some crates or a table as sugested would give the tent a cause, since they are usually set up to cover something ...
