Dr Ops Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Hello ! :) I always dreamed about my own windmill, so here it is. I tried to make it round but i was little bit hard... Anyway im satisfied :) Enjoy ! I hope you like it, Thanks for watching :) Quote
frumpy Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Great build. I really like the roof technique (I imagine it took some effort to construct). The different fence techniques (timber and rock) are also well done. Quote
gads Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Nice build! This would look fantastic on a medieval diorama I think I'll highlight it today at HistoryBricks. Quote
Infernum Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 This is really cool! Love the fence, and the roof is beautiful! Quote
cesbrick Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Very nice MOC!! Love the roof but the all build looks very nice! Quote
Gunman Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Awesome building! Best part for me is the roof! Quote
Dr Ops Posted August 10, 2014 Author Posted August 10, 2014 Nice build! This would look fantastic on a medieval diorama I think I'll highlight it today at HistoryBricks. Thanks ! It will be honour for me ;) Thank all of you guys for praises and comments ! The roof was really the most complicated thing, but i think it's good enough. Quote
Dr Ops Posted August 10, 2014 Author Posted August 10, 2014 (edited) Very nice! I like the cylindrical shape you've got going on. It's really aesthetically pleasing and the mixed shades of brown make it look like it's really assembled of long planks, like it should be. The minifigure hands 'connecting' the ship mast parts as blades is pretty great. I think the hassle you went through to construct the roof paid off! It's very nice. Does it actually connect to the main structure in any way, or does it just rest atop it, like a very frumpy hat? The hedgehog in the garden is also a nice touch. Thank you ! I'm so satisfied that you catched the black minifig hands ! Roof is connected to the rest of the building, but its not very stable. I think these photos best describe what is under the 'strawy roof' :) Sorry for quality of the photos :< Edited August 10, 2014 by Dr Ops Quote
Yzalirk Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Fantastic windmill! You should think about joining a guild in Guilds of Historica (GoH)! Quote
Lady K Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Nice looking windmill! I like the overall shape you achieved, very pleasant to look at. The roof is outstanding. I like the fences, and the little hedgehog. Quote
Gary The Procrastinator Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Kudos on that rounded shape, I think you did a great job there with the 1x8 reddish brown tiles. Turned out great. Quote
TheLazyChicken Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 That is a great moc of yours! Just like a lot of people have said here, the roof is very well constructed! Keep up the great work! Quote
Dr Ops Posted August 11, 2014 Author Posted August 11, 2014 You should think about joining a guild in Guilds of Historica (GoH)! Yeah, why not :) Thank all of you for such nice opinions, it's really motivate me to build more ! :) Quote
Macsen Wledig Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 A really nice windmill - I especially like the roof! Quote
mccoyed Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 Love the way you did low stone walls ala sheep walls. A viable alternative to the usual 1x1 stud style. Quote
TheGreyPilgrim Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Amazing creation! I love it! You have created something memorable. Thanks for sharing. Quote
