I think for it to qualify for Ideas it would have to be a much different car. Besides the idea itself, the sets seem to range from $20 to $50. I'd rather it be 1500-2000 piece Technic set for about $200 like the 4x4 crawler!

If I could buy this set, I'd buy two and make a Rat Rod version. I'd chop the top more, add some custom rust and bondo stickers, take off the mufflers, and possibly use a different color for one panel. :)

I like the way you think! Rat theme is great! :classic: I need to get some brown parts for future projects...

This is a great MOC. Great looks and loads of functions. Well done

Thanks! :sweet: I'm glad you like it.

Wauw!!!!!

Thanks for the second video! Looks pretty speedy for a model that size.

Yes, 2L motors are powerful enough for its weight (1285g - approximately 200g lighter than Crawler 9398 with same combination of motors) and I've tried to make it as light as possible, without compromising the looks (for example, I used hose soft axles for seats to save some weight). :sweet:

I'm especially happy that you like my videos too. I always put much time and effort to build part but then fear that I would mess up the presentation... :classic:

Nice model, I like the engine intake area.

Indicator idea is cool, would have saved them for another model - Hot Rods don't have indicators.

Keep it, don't break it down - show it at some Lego User Expo's and inspire others.

Keep up the good work.

This hot rod truck is so amazing! I love all the detail and features in it, and I can tell you really put a lot of effort into this to make it look authentic. I am an actual hot rod / kustom enthusiast so I know a little something about this sort of thing. Every time someone builds a vehicle like this, I get so excited, but your truck here really made my jaw drop, Like this --> *oh2*

Thank you for sharing this wonderful LEGO treasure.

I really didn't know that hot rods don't have indicators  thanks for the suggestions. :sweet:

Thank you for your comment! You've really made my day! I'm so happy that it looks good to the real hot rods enthusiast! :sweet:

Here in Croatia, we can see hot rods only on the Internet and maybe TV. I tried to make it look realistic but I know that I still have lot to learn...

Superb!!!!!

 Thanks!

If indicators refers to turn signals and brake lights, they have to have them in the US if you want to drive it on a road legally.

Thanks Kelkschiz! :sweet:

I love the way it's design is close to the original one... (and not just because I like Hot-Rods generally. :D )
