L@go Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 I would have wanted a red-nosed reindeer... The reason there isn't one in the set is really quite simple. Read set designer Marcos Bessa's explanation in his last comment on this picture :) Quote
IGettings Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 I was wondering what colour the floor inside the grotto or house is as I wouldn't mind extending it to put the toy making machines etc inside the house when I get it. Looked on lego.com but their colour of bricks and tiles don't seem to obvious or wide-ranging. Can anyone help with this? Quote
Sarah Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 The reason there isn't one in the set is really quite simple. Read set designer Marcos Bessa's explanation in his last comment on this picture :) I suspected that! Glad to see there really is a copyright on the red-nosed guy. Quote
Redhead1982 Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 I'm really looking forward building this set. Although it seems a bit out of the WV content (with a fictional Santa character), it still fits nicely with other WV buildings. The architecture is simple, but with nice details on the facade. I like the little details the most, there's a printed rug inside the door (welcome ho-ho-home), the north pole sign, the workshop sign and the picture from summer holidays. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Why does everyone keep saying fictional character? Jeesh! I'm sure with the Target Audience, this will fit right in compared to a Winter Fair ride... Quote
A2L Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 (edited) The first thing that struck me is the clash of brick built blocky elements (the tree, reindeer) with the modern elements (curves, domes, arches) of the building and the detailed sleigh. Its unfortunate that we are getting a brick-built reindeer. The potential of reusing a reindeer is great. Mountain hut comes to my mind right now. Edited August 25, 2014 by A2L Quote

The floor color is Nougat, which is still a pretty rare color for basic parts. Only the Simpsons House (the garage door) and Mos Eisley Cantina (the landspeeder) have featured Nougat plates - so far. If you're looking for a good way to expand the interior, well... just keep an eye out for October's store calendar next week, that's all I'll say. Edited August 25, 2014 by Tragic Banjo Quote
BartSimpson Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 This is the first winter set I would most likely buy, yahhhhhahahhah Quote

8BrickMario Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 That's really neat. I wonder what the other set is? Quote
agadoijo Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 (edited) Yeap... the second one sounds a bit like a repetition from a part of the bakery - Winter Skating Scene. https://www.flickr.com/photos/neoape/14953030715/in/photostream/ Edited August 31, 2014 by agadoijo Quote
LegoSjaak Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 (edited) I think i'll buy this set.. it is too cute to let go... besides that, i 'collect them all'....so...it is a must buy...haha! Edited September 2, 2014 by LegoSjaak Quote
fred67 Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Nice! I like the little additional set! I finished making a handful of reindeer (in the style of this set) because I didn't think there were enough. I just don't have the bricks with eyes. I'm really looking forward to my Christmas set up this year. Quote
Jared Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 This set looks absolutely amazing, now I have to pick it up!! Quote
Big-whoop-Guybrush Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Does anyone know if this will be available early to VIP members in the UK as it is in the US? Also it would be nice to get some confirmation of the October free exclusive creator set with qualifying purchases in the UK. It seems that the American calendar is released a lot earlier and contains a lot more info than the UK newsletter Quote
Cwetqo Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 I did short review on our LUG webapge (in slovenian, english will follow). Wonderful set, just interior is too empty: http://www.kocke.si/forum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=8370 Quote

m0dulo Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 I love it!! I'll star saving now, as this will be super expensive in Dubai Is that because of the snow that is included in this set? Quote
