CamelBoy68 Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Other than Lego, one of my interests is ancient Egypt and how things haven't changed too much over the centuries. What better to demonstrate this, than a really old boardgame, Senet. I have also added a couple of hidden extras into the box: You can find more pictures on my Flickr album Quote
Bookworm Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Very cool! I love all the Egyptian decorations you have added to the box like the pyramid and columns. Have you played it using the Lego board yet? Quote
CamelBoy68 Posted September 1, 2014 Author Posted September 1, 2014 Yes, it plays fine. The raised tiles keep the pieces in place and the aerials make it easy to pick them up. Quote
klinton Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Heh. I remember playing this game in a level of Tomb Raider. I actually recall the rules and objective, as it took me forever to figure it out. :D Quote
Khorne Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Nice build, instantly recognizable (if you know something about Ancient Egypt, of course ). I once made a "real" version of this game with wood and clay figures, but I've never actually played the game myself. I searched my PC for pics of the Senet I made, but I couldn't find them immediatly. If I find them, I'll post one here. It's not LEGO, though, but then one can see how a "real" Senet looks, perhaps .
