I built Madoca's brilliant supercar from his equally brilliant instructions, and decided to build a similarly scaled model myself, using the RC Buggy components. While I was able to make the chassis just the way I wanted it, I have a serious handicap when it comes to supercar styling, as evident from my earlier tries in the pictures below:

Getting there, but still: FAIL

So eventually I decided to try to build Madocas very good looking bodywork around my RC chassis, more or less the one used in the white attempt two pictures up.

This turned out very well IMO, but I had to make certain exterior modifications, partly due to the added bulk and placement of the RC Buggy motors, and partly due to me lacking some styling parts used in Madocas original model.

Anyway, here is the result:

As you can immediately see, the area around the rear wheels differs significantly from the original model. This is due to the RC Buggy motors, and the suspension setup (the motors and wheels are independently sprung, and need to pivot)

Styling wise, seeing as this is a lot faster than Madoca's original, I found it appropriate to give it a heftier "exhaust system" Also, notice the different spoiler, which I later modified in a rather cool way

This angle gives you a better view of the rear inside and the motors. You can also see the low profile independent front push rod suspension.

Here is yet another view similar to the one above, but after making some more modifications. The rear spoiler is now deployable/retractable using a MicroMotor from the AUX output of the RC Unit. It uses a winch with string, as well as a rubber band for the action

Also, due to the size of the RC Unit, the detailed interior of the original had to be sacrificed.

Last picture. You can just barely see that the front "air intake" has been enlarged in going with the "GT/R/EVO/whatever" thought of the MOD.

I still have the model built, but not with me at the moment, so I can't get an underbelly shot right now, but I'll get back with one at a later time :classic:

On a side note; I really like the way the white wheels look on a red car

So, VIDEO (sorry for driving out of frame on occasions ):
