Bregir Posted August 18, 2014 Author Posted August 18, 2014 Very nice scene!! What I love the most, is your idea of having a city where each neighbourhood has their own buildingstyle!! Excellent!! Maybe I am even going to do something in your city! (if I have the time, so I can't promise it :( ) A trading post? A consulate? In the Kaliphinite neighbourhood? Tell me more! (I feel with you regarding time... ) Quote

Bregir Posted August 19, 2014 Author Posted August 19, 2014 I will also give the +1 to marketplace, I agree with Gideon that the white is a refreshing color choice for Kaliphlin style builds as it is very Mediterranean and I would also like to see more of that in Kali. Thanks for the credit - Regarding colour, when I picture Kaliphlin, I first picture North African, Mediterranean settlements, which in my mind have many white buildings. Lovely scene Bregir, it really captures the spirit of a bustling marketplace. I especially like the fountain. Some 1x1 and 2x2 round tiles, interspersed with plate would help the ground a bit though. UoP +1 for Trade and Law, Marketplace, and Life in Kaliphlin. I know that the scene is in Avalonia, but i'm going more from what i can see in the moc itself, and less from the accompanying description. To me, the scene feels like Kaliphlin, so it gets my vote. I can totes understand why the other assessors feel differently though. (and it's a easy credit to pick up later anyway if you don't get the 4 for this) Thank you, Gabe. It seems landscaping is my Nemesis! Perchance I should make a few MOCs mainly devoted to improving that... As to the credits, you put words to my logic behind claiming "Life in Kaliphlin". However, I accept the judgement of the other Kaliphlinites. (Although I might add that the Trifork is placed near/on the border to Kaliphlin... ) Both :D Like my MAESTRO shop in Thorshaven :) That is a shop (trading post) and an embassy :D I think an embassy might be too much for a minor city (Pending HSS ) like the Trifork, but a consulate would be perfectly suited, as well as a trading post - it is a trading centre where several trade routes intersect, afterall. I would be honoured to have a MAESTRO post in the Trifork, especially after the great build and examplary process with Ruadh (SarahJoy). Let me know if you ever get the time and need some more info or anything. [stamps document *Building Permit Granted*] Quote

Bregir Posted August 19, 2014 Author Posted August 19, 2014 Perfect :) One minor problem, when going to your Task 3: Trifork topic, the pictures there are gone :( Strange - I will take a look at it, when I get home today. Quote
IenjoyLego89 Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 I really like it, the hustle and bustle is captured great. I do agree with some of the other comments in that some texturing on the ground would of been great. Still overall a brilliant moc :) Quote
Bregir Posted August 20, 2014 Author Posted August 20, 2014 Perfect :) One minor problem, when going to your Task 3: Trifork topic, the pictures there are gone :( They seem to be in order now - may have been a temporary brickshelf problem? I might expand a bit on the description in that thread when I have the timetm I really like it, the hustle and bustle is captured great. I do agree with some of the other comments in that some texturing on the ground would of been great. Still overall a brilliant moc :) Thank you - And yes, I agree - I think that will be the focus of my next mocs - I really need to practice that part... Quote
