Noticed someone took away my title!? Do I not deserve one? Maybe we should have a thread called "How did you lose your title?"

That's strange. it only sees to be you 3. Mine works and Sieggy's does. The mods could have removed it or it's a glitch.

Prateek never had a title. It's just us two, as far as I can tell. I received a PM. It's not a glitch.

I guess if the mods/admins feel you don't deserve a title they can take it away (not that I'm saying you don't) or could be a glitch.

To put an end to the needless rambling that isn't supposed to happen in this topic (or anywhere, for that matter), I'll post this clarification of the title policy.

There is no title policy.

In other words: we give them, change them, and even remove them as we see fit. When one of those things happens, you should be able to figure out why if you take a minute to reflect on your recent posting.

That ends that part of the discussion. Let's not abuse this topic or other things will happen. Unpleasant things that none of us want.

Since Shadows didn't really end the discussion by giving an explanation, I will. Basically, mine and Striker's "hinting at titles" and "off-topic chit chat" led to the Mods/Admins choosing a punishment worse than a ban, the removal of those coveted words underneath the avatar.

To reinforce ImperialShadow's point made above,

There is never a firm "Giving Title policy" and we never said there is no "Removal of Titles" as well. Change is a constant factor, whether we give a new title or remove title, the Staff determine the actions that is deem fit.

In fact, when you noticed a title had indeed went missing, I will strongly advice and encourage the members to reflect on their recent actions/posts and ask yourself this question, "Why did it happen?"...

Keep your mind quiet, and reflect on your own. Titles come and go when you least expected, that's the whole fun of it, so let's treat this naturally.

On a firm note, removing of titles could be much better hint, than to invite them into the Chamber, for mediation session with the Eurobricks Staff.

Well, I've posted in the other topic, but I haven't posted here about my titles. Basically, the first one (Gungan Rebel) I got for acting immaturely in the former Tie army Topic, the second (Indy afficianado) I got for demonstrating a total lack of knowledge about the Indiana Jones films, the third (Indy afficianado and Gungan) I got for remarking that I was glad that I didn't have the word "gungan" in my title, and the fourth (Boring Title Gungan) I got for remarking in the other title topic that my titles were boring compared to many of the other member's titles.

Actually it used to be called that... but I renamed it to "The Isolation Chamber".

Yes, the Staff changes titles for one another without asking them what they have in mind, and in most cases, it's pretty random and isn't what they have expected in mind.

Some of us do know where their titles came from some are never discovered. You can read some bits of titles history in the Archive.

BonaFang is pretty much right, but these rules don't really apply to Hinckley. He's had an insane amount of self-imposed titles.
