Berry Syedow Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Amazing stuff, ZCerberus. Everything looks great, both the architecture and the color scheming. I can't really think of anything else to say that hasn't been said. So, what's your next project? A city/port? :-P Or maybe something smaller? Quote
zouave Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 A work of art. It'd take more than 4 frigrates to defeat it Mr.Tiber.But it is defeatable. The rear of the has less troops and what seems to be no cannons.Someone like Bonaparte or Fordo could over-take this fortress. X-D Quote
Fordo Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 I'd have to break out the siege equipment to take down such a fine fort but an all out assault with all his ships there would result in tremendous loses. Quote

Well make sure your siege covers his ships to.Otherwise they'll bring in supplies and the whole thing would be piontless. If I had your troops I'd give them a quick cannon barage and then send in an all out attack on the confused forces below. It'd be like Fort Sumpter at the beggining of the civil war.The fort ready for an attack by sea,not land. Quote

X-D Ah true enough, but the design of the fortress is supposed to span a cove, so the entire backside would be inside the cove and there would be no way to attack it from behind. One should not forget that Location of the fortress is also a big deal!! So, what's your next project? Next project is get real life in order... then I think I might make a few Pirate/Spanish vessels on pre-fabbed hulls so the Imperials have at least a credible threat to face Edited June 23, 2007 by ZCerberus Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted June 23, 2007 Posted June 23, 2007 This is an amazing MOC. I really enjoy the middle harbour area. Man, I wish this was a set!!!!!!! Quote

It would be nice if there were ANY pirates sets right now! Btw, it appears you have excellent taste in 80's/early 90's music. maximum respect Thanks Freddo. Maybe you'll have to do some landscaping on this MOC like you did on your windmill MOC! Wow! OMG! Strewth! What more can I say! Strewth? I am not entirely sure what that means... but thanks... I think ;-) Sorry to anyone who's comments I didn't get to address directly! I thank everyone for the compliments! Keep MOCing! Edited June 26, 2007 by ZCerberus Quote

I find it funny as well.) Quote

Well now I know that it is an Aussie exclamation I can affirm my thanks for the compliment! Quote
Norrington Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 Next project is get real life in order... then I think I might make a few Pirate/Spanish vessels on pre-fabbed hulls so the Imperials have at least a credible threat to face WHo needs credible threats?!?! It's called controling everything and have no-one opposing your ultimate power. PLus, those bloody Spaniards all ready have the Arbiter II, and a few crapy ships. Now, You need something bigger then the Phantom. I'd say try for a ship of the line: Catch my drift? Quote

One should not forget that Location of the fortress is also a big deal!! Okay, next idea. Take an old ships hull and load it with gunpowder. Then light the fuse and knock it into the space between the two middle towers. Sail in under lighter enemy fire and blast em' from behind. >8-) But if that doesn't work it's time to call in the ironclads. X-D Quote

Plus, Iron Clads wern't figured out until the American Civil War. Plus, who would want to attack our Dear ZCerebus? Better to make alliances with those who have more military power then you mutual friends. X-D You know, how 'bout your main admiral guy is really named: Admiral Zachory Cerebus? That way it would tie in better. Quote
zouave Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 (edited) I'm don't want to attack Z's fort. I was just giving constructive criticism. Like how to give the imperials trouble. And I knew ironclads aren't in this time period. It was just a joke. BTW ZCuberus and I have the same name. I spell it Zachary though. Edited June 28, 2007 by zouave Quote
Brick Miner Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 i've been meaning to post here... i ran into this on BS a couple days ago, and saw the name attached to the folder... so i had to come here to give my respect. this is by-far my favorite pirate MOC. just truly spectacular. and this is coming from a guy who loves simple, precise, and SYSEM-ish building styles and MOCs. i think this creation was the dream of every little kid who played with the imperial guards back in the early 90's. i know it was mine... so thanks for giving my dreams a realization *y* *y* *y* - BM Quote
ZCerberus Posted June 28, 2007 Author Posted June 28, 2007 You know, how 'bout your main admiral guy is really named: Admiral Zachory Cerebus? That way it would tie in better. Well I always have called him Benjamin Burress, I figured if he gets knighted, then he can be Sir Burress ;) The Z is just because I can't seem to get the name Cerberus without putting something in front of it! I'd say try for a ship of the line: Catch my drift? I have been thinking about this as a possibility. I would need to change my color scheme, so the ship would have to be Spanish or something... It would need to be like 40 studs wide though.... I have also been thinking of making a couple of corvettes... or a schooner or two... I really like the look of schooners, so I may just stick with a few prefabbed-ships until I get inspiration for something big. WHo needs credible threats?!?! X-D Long ago, I've build 2 ironclads (I still have them). Here' my CSS Virginia (only the part that's above the water is visible in this picture): And here's my monitor: Couldn't we use these to attack Z's fortress? Just joking, Z is too friendly to attack him. We better find ourselves some evil pirates to fight with. Edited June 29, 2007 by bonaparte Quote
