OzShan Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 That's very cool. Love how you did the exhaust manifold. Such a great little detail. Quote
BigCatBoy Posted September 4, 2014 Author Posted September 4, 2014 Thanks, everyone, for the comments! I updated the truck a little more. There are three more photos in the original post at the bottom. Maybe it's better for me to post the photos at the end of the thread, instead of modifying the original post... Quote
Chapachuk Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 It was way better without first two updates. Quote

Chapachuk Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 (edited) I was missunderstood, cause u have a few updates or i write it down wrong. I mean it was better without the upper ligts and the license plate :) Edited September 4, 2014 by Chapachuk Quote

miguev Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 I love it! Never saw a MT model with such good suspension :) Quote
BusterHaus Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 (edited) The body is extremely well done. You couldn't mistake it for anything else. Can't wait to see the internals. Saw them now - for some reason the pictures didn't load on my phone earlier. Chassis looks pretty good, too! Edited September 5, 2014 by BusterHaus Quote

I thought you meant about my method of posting updates. Concerning the light bar, I'm not surprised you guys don't like it. I study automotive design and I've seen loads of things happening in the industry, but I end up forgetting a lot of the stuff I come across. Your comments helped me remember some things I saw a while back The whole LED lightbar thing started off on a good note because of how revolutionary it was (I think they first came out about four years ago...), until a lot of people wanted them just for show. From what I've seen, most of the LED lightbars on trucks seem just for show, and the fact that they're rectangular without much imaginative form, they definitely lack in asthetics. I'll remove them not only because they're a little too unusual on this truck, but also because I feel I'm dishonoring Jonathan Ward's design on the real life truck. His goals are about usability more than show quality looks. He probably would have never wanted to put something like that on his real Broncos. The rear license plate and lights are similar to the one on the real truck, but the light pieces are too big. If I find a better more slimmer profile design, I'll use that instead, but the front lightbar will go. Either that or I'll just take it off altogether. Thanks again for the comments! Quote
Technic Gearhead Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Excellent model - very well done! Love the Coyote motor too. Quote
