I'm going to to sell some pieces of my collection so I've started thinking about what sets I'm never ever going to sell. I think I'm not going to sell my Death Star because I had to rebuild it 2 times (because it fell down :( ) and because it's like my favourite set I've ever purchased. It had so many mini figures and functions which caused me to spend hours with it. So what's your set that you're never going to sell?

I won't sell ANY of my sets EVER (again!)

I made the mistake of selling some of my Technic sets a couple of years ago and have regretted it ever since. I've spent the time since then buying those sets again.

Well to make this simple why don't you ask what sets would I actually sell? They're all great!

EDIT: To be honest I feel compelled to actually answer this question. I would definitely keep all my OT ships, like the X-Wing, Y-Wing, TIE fighter, and the Millennium Falcon, since they are so nostalgic and such classic sets.

Oh sorry about that, I wasn't implying that your question was stupid, I was just joking about how difficult it was to answer it. I guess the one set I would never sell would be the MF I have, since it's the strongest and most nostalgic piece in my collection. I think you should list a few of the sets that you think are weaker in your collection so we can help you on whether or not you should sell them.

Yeah a lot of the CW sets released in that era are rather forgettable since they lacked many appearances, so it makes sense you want to sell them. I'd say go for it.

well as it has been noted above selling any sets is just not something i ever plan on doing. BUT if it came down to that there are 2 sets i would go out of my way to hold onto. first being the Original Snow Speeder 7130 (1999) this was my first Star Wars set and is my sentimental favorite. the other one i would fight tooth and nail to hold onto is Celebration V Bounty Hunter Cude Dudes. far and away my most prized set!

This is a tough one. I'd never sell my sets, but if I was forced into that position had to pick one to save, it would be Cloud City. It not only has a great collector's value (and bragging rights attached), it holds sentimental value as well. In early 2003, a fire burned down most of my home (luckily a good portion of my sets were at my grandparent's house) and this was one of the first sets to start my new collection. I don't think I'll ever part with it. Even in death it shall be put in my sarcoghagus. Also, the Death Star. Because it's so dang cool.

I was 5 when I got these for my birthday and for Christmas. So many hours playing with them and they have a "collector" value since they were from the 1st Lego Star Wars wave.

And 75021 Republic Gunship because it's awesome and it's the ship that I always wanted. plus it made me come back into Lego last august.

75059 Sandcrawler

Fort Legoredo is the set I would never want to sell. Even if I get rid of the rest of my collection, I will always keep at least one Fort Legoredo.

I now own two Galaxy Squad Eradicator Mechs, and I would never sell those. Star Wars sets? H'm. Probably my Midi Imperial Star Destroyer.

It's a tough decision between three sets; 10188 Death Star, 75059 Sandcrawler, and 10236 Ewok Village. Death Star was the very first "Big Set" I got since getting back into Lego, and it was incredible seeing this HUGE package sitting on my door step after it was delivered, then lifting it up and feeling how huge it was. Then, to open it up and see four more huge boxes inside and a spiral bound building guide was crazy. It also gave me so many minifigures to get my collection going that it will always hold a special place in my heart. Add on to that the fact that the set is just so well done and has so many iconic little scenes from the OT that I would have a tough time selling it.

For the Sandcrawler, I picked that up a couple months after it came out and just love it. The build was super fun, the building guide for it is well put together and informative, and the end model just looks incredibly good. It has lots of playability with it and is VERY durable which is a plus. For some reason, it just has a strong attachment with me and I would have trouble parting with it.

Finally, there's the Ewok Village. I know that a lot of people complain about the Ewoks and RotJ in the Star Wars fandom, but I don't hate it nearly as much as everybody else seems to. Yeah, it's not the masterpiece that ANH and ESB are, but it's still a great movie that wraps up the OT quite nicely. The Ewok Village Lego Set does an incredible job of detailing so many iconic scenes from that movie, and unlike just about every single other Lego set in the theme, it's not filled with grays and whites or browns. It's a nice "natural" setting with the iconic rotisserie, C-3PO's chair, the net that Chewie gets caught in, and a great deal of foliage and play features. Next to the Death Star, it's my most beloved set. In addition, when I've had friends over and shown off my newly found addiction, they are always drawn to the Ewok Village for the reasons that I outlined above.

In conclusion, if I had to pick just ONE set to hold onto, I would go with the Death Star set 10188. Ewok Village would be a very close second, with the Sandcrawler sitting in a respectable 3rd place.

Yeah... when I was first getting into LEGO as an adult (coming out of my "dark ages"), I bought a whole bunch of Prequel sets, and also some Clone Wars sets... then I asked myself what the heck I was doing. I like Clone Wars, but I don't watch it and am not interested in the sets, and I hated the PT, with few exceptions (I like General Grevous... and the Naboo Fighter for some reason). I was once trying to sell my Falcon (4505) only because I had the midi scale one. I know there's no comparison, but I had room to display the midi scale one, and the 4505 was still in the box because I had no where to put it once built... but I've decided I don't want to sell it, either. So I only buy OT SW now... I would sell my non-OT stuff, but not the OT stuff.

7965 - because it was the set that really made me want to MOC, rather than collect.

I could sell any set. The only Lego stuff I could never sell are my boxed Winter Village sets. I have all of them so far, and am excited for Santa's Workshop.

I have a lot of the older sets, but I could probably part with them. I think the one I would hold onto the most is the 2010 Millennium Falcon. I made so many mods to it, and has a lot of money invested into that way, would hate to see it go. A lot of my bigger sets are either destroyed or Modded up that they aren't even sets anymore

I really enjoy all of my sets, and wouldn't want to sell them. There are some I like more than others (Death Star/SSD/UCS ISD at the top of that list) but there's one that I'm quite underwhelmed with that would be the first to go: 7672 Rogue Shadow.

Hmm, the ones I would have the hardest selling would be, in no order, http://brickset.com/sets/7256-1/Jedi-Starfighter-and-Vulture-Droid. I got this set when I was younger and played with stuff more, it remains a favorite up to this day. Some much so Ive considered getting the new starfighter and vulture droid (sold separately sadly ) Then AT-AT 8129, and the newest republic gunship. I waited a long time to get one and I think I would bite someone's arm off if they tried to buy it!

It never even crossed my mind, to sell any of my sets, but the one Star Wars set, that I would never part with, is the first one that I bought and that is "8092 Luke's Landspeeder", this one is a keeper.

If I had no choice but to keep one set. It would have to be the newest Republic Gunship or AT-TE. I really wanted the first versions of these sets as a child but I never owned them. So now that I have two of both sets. I'm never letting them go!
