Rishab N Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Aw not another exclusive. Resale prices are going to be high Quote
GallardoLU Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 actually I'd bet this set will sell very poorly, relative to the SDCC version. there are already 1000 of this exact same ship out there (with Chopper, not a unique one at that) and The Kanan Jarrus in this is also NOT unique. making it 2000 ghosts out there. I like that Lego is redoing an exclusive set with a different figure, its a cheap way to get more sets out there to the people that can't all get to SDCC (and hopefully other future shows will be the same way) Quote
ManInATopHat Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Well, looks like I'll have to sneak in to booth 748 to pick one of these up. It's not great, but hey, exclusive stuff is cool, right? Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Is the printed R5 helmet forming the front canopy the same one from the Millenium Falcon microfighter? Quote
GallardoLU Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Is the printed R5 helmet forming the front canopy the same one from the Millenium Falcon microfighter? Yes, its the exact same part, and its the only printed part on the whole model, should be able to build a replica of it for about 20 bucks (plus more if you want Kanan too) Quote
skateboard34 Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 While I definitely wish I was at the expo, not too disappointed at missing this exclusive. The colors are dull and most of the sets from the new Rebels line have looked pretty lackluster. Free sets are nice but nothing special here. Quote

Now this is the kind of exclusive I can live with. Edited August 19, 2014 by Lind Whisperer Quote
just2good Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Cute little promo. Odd that it's the same as the SDCC one sans the minifigure, but oh well. I wonder if we'll see an exclusive reveal there as well... the Slave I maybe? Quote
TotallyNewLegoFan Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Uh oh, an exclusive... Do you know how many are being made by LEGO? Also curious how this is different than the "only at San Diego Comic Con 2014" Star Wars ship and figure was (was in line for it 4 days, no chance of getting it the first two days (my fault for not going early enough), however LEGO was deceitful, the last two days of the show, and I and many others, who had low line numbers and should have got a set, didn't) . Is only the minifig different? I wonder how LEGO can say the SDCC 2014 set was exclusive to SDCC since it looks like the ship is exactly the same. Hmmm. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 20, 2014 Author Posted August 20, 2014 Any idea of the price? I didn't get any information regarding price.Although I searched around their site a bit looking for it, and in doing so, I found out that Greg Hyland will be there, if anyone's interested in his LEGO Star Wars work. Herky Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 looks like the SDCC Ghost Ships are around $100 on ebay US...will be interesting to see if this follows suit...I think the price at SDCC was $35, but can't recall for sure Quote
GallardoLU Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 I expect these to settle around 70 bucks and the SDCC ones to dip a bit but still hold a slightly higher value. will be interesting to see what happens though. Quote
Tronedor Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 So happy to living in Toronto, guess I know what I'm doing with my weekend :D Quote
Bricknblue Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 While I definitely wish I was at the expo, not too disappointed at missing this exclusive. The colors are dull and most of the sets from the new Rebels line have looked pretty lackluster. Free sets are nice but nothing special here. Umm... The two sets that we have seen? Quote
