Mr Greeble Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 (edited) I might get the Invizible set just for Invizible. (partly for ninjago MOCs, partly because he's cool.) Edited January 6, 2015 by Mr Greeble Quote
just2good Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 I snuck over to the GB online shop to get a good look at the S@H pics of the sets...bad idea, now I want them more! It's so subtle that it took me a while to notice, but Invizable has a LEGO-money print shirt! I love that, it just adds that much more personality. Lovely little detail! Quote
Pulp Detective Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 (edited) The only thing that annoys me about the new sets is the fact that the new dark blue agents suits are so detailed but it's like Lego forgot to print the piece that holds the legs. I might get the Invizible set just for Invizible. (partly for ninjago MOCs, partly because he's cool.) I'm probably the only one who'll get the set for the agent(he looks really cool tho) Edited January 7, 2015 by LOTR34 Quote

TPLSTER21 Posted January 8, 2015 Author Posted January 8, 2015 Hmm...that update is for the US site! Perhaps the N.A. release for the sets will be sometime soon? February 1st maybe....? Quote
8BrickMario Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 I like the new website, but the bios are very sloppy, being incomplete or inaccurate (Tremor is Louis Lightweight, not a junkyard worker), and the site ignores info given by the app and intel videos. And what is a "weathercaster"? Is it a meteorogist or a TV weatherman? Quote

DuckBricks Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 I like the new website, but the bios are very sloppy, being incomplete or inaccurate Agreed with the bios being sloppy... The villains are formatted oddly, with most of the Wave One villains having a different format than the Wave 2 villains...Either way, it's nice to have pictures. Also, some preview pics of the app. I think the app has been out since the first, unless your talking about how the app bricks work... Quote

BrickSev Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 (edited) Anyone that has the Agent Stealth Partol set,I want to ask if Jack Fury has a double sided head. I just received it today, alongside with UltraCopter and Spyclops. I haven't opened it yet but I can give a look at it soon I have so many sets still to build but I know UA sets are not yet available to American friends, so if anyone is interested I can give those sets "building priority" and share photos and comments about them with the community EDIT: Oops, I read stealth bike (the one from set 70167), sorry. Stealth Patrol is on my "to buy list". Btw as far as I know every Agent has a double sided head. Edited January 9, 2015 by BrickSev Quote

I want to hear your overall thoughts about the Ultra Copter and ask those questions.1)Does it worth the money?? 2)How does the model look?? 3)People who buy it mostly for Antimatter should by this set or wait until the summer wave and buy his base set?? Like I said I haven't built the sets yet but looking at the box it looks amazing. It has a lot of functions "rotating blades", firing weapons (for those interested in that function ), functioning "zip line" an amazing futurist design (when you look at the transparent surfaces you wonder if they represent "solid material" or meant to represent "holographic/force fields" etc) and it does look like a vehicle of that kind should look: no design oddity, from what I saw. It has some cons: for example its cost per brick it's higher than usual (here in EU it's 74,99€ per 614 pieces) I reserve the the final opinion until I build it by from a preliminary analysis I can answer to your questions saying: 1) In my opinion it's worth for the reasons I mentioned above 2) It looks amazing like it just came out from a high end Science Fiction/action series 3) If you are only interested in a single Minifigure from the set and have no interest in the UltraCopter itself, then I wouldn't suggest to spend all that money for a Minifigure if you have the chance to get it in a set you're more interested in. Btw, I'd really recommend that set. It's just a preliminary opinion. Once I built it, I'll take detailed photos and write a more detailed analysis EDIT: I forgot to mention to new, cool armors and in the set you get an cool helmet too Edited January 9, 2015 by BrickSev Quote
Sir Brickalot Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Jack Fury's head is single sided, LOTR34. Quote
Pulp Detective Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 (edited) Thanks, the way you describe the set makes me change the way I look at it.Still I think I'll pass, the Agent Stealth Patrol set will suffice(and it has also the new armor and helmet). Jack Fury's head is single sided, LOTR34. Lego is being lazy I see and the funny thing is that in the logo Jack has an angry expresion, they could had used that thus giving him a double sided head but nonetheless thanks for letting me know. This is interesting because as someone who's only mildly interested in the Ultra Agents theme, the Ultra Copter seems WAY more appealing. The original Agents theme already did a mobile base and, as far as I'm concerned, did it much better, with far more features packed into the space of a single truck. But the Ultra Copter is, to my knowledge, the first helicopter Lego has ever made with coaxial rotors. As such, even though I recently obtained the classic Agents helicopter used from a friend, the Ultra Copter still is a lot less redundant than the mobile HQ from last year's sets. Quote

I didn't buy the HQ for the same reason, then I found it with a 30% discount before Christmas and I bought it: it surprised me as well. Now I think even at full price it's a worth set. Personally I think UA theme is a bit underestimated by many Lego fans. It's a nice theme with a lot of potential: from action to Sci-Fi settings. You can even use them as "Federal Agents" like characters in modern day settings. There is little you can't do with them. I admit even I underestimated this theme in the past but now I'm a huge fan of it Back on the HQ vs UltraCopter: I too think the HQ is better, it also gives us a "scenery" (namely the "base") Quote

I also agree that UA has pontential as it is a great non-licensed theme with great detail on figs and vehicles all the same, which is rare to found on non-licensed themes. I strongly agree and I'm glad Lego continues to produce more waves instead of doing what they did with Galaxy Squad. It is confirmed we will b e getting a 3rd wave of UA in june! I can't wait. More nice sets to keep us busy during summer Quote
Peppermint_M Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Yet here I am searching the local retailers for any sign of new sets! I would love to see the boxes in person to make a choice for budgeting. Quote
8BrickMario Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 (edited) I just can't wait for these sets! I'm surprised by how much Drillex and his tank have grown on me; Diamond Job went from my least favorite to a priority set! EDIT: Just rewatched Intel D, was it mentioned that the purple-eyed robot shark seen on Taobao is confirmed for the Hideout? I noticed it swim by. We knew it would be AntiMatter's guardian, but the video just confirmed the set it's in. I'm intrigued by the grey-faced, orange-helmeted villain. There's really nothing indicative of his theme, unlike the lightning guy (who I have privately taken to calling Lightgeist due to his ghoulish face and electric theme).
