Zergos Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 The lightning villain is probably in both sets. Cause I remember seeing the description for ultrasonic raider, and them mentioning the lightning villain. Quote
Pulp Detective Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Am I the only one who can't get the link working?? Quote
Kalhiki Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 These look nice. Is that a trans purple version of the Tie Advanced Prototype windscreen I spy? The Antimatter base seems a little bare-bones, but has some cool features. The boat looks sweet. Quote
LK901 Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Nice sets. Ship is awe-inspiringly awesomely cool! Base is not as good. Might get it, depending on the final design and figs. Quote
SMC Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Might have to get it just for the shark as its not in the new super heroes of city sets by the looks of it. Quote
GoldenChi Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Wow,the Water HQ is really amazing. The description of a 'brick-built hull' I thought the set was only going to be the bow of a huge ship, with a deck, and you had to use your imagination and pretend there is more, silly me. Antimatter's base looks great, but Solomon Blaze should be shunned. How'd he let himself get captured. So the Break Jaw helmet villain is in this set. yeah,Blaze is getting rusty. He fought for Earth's freedom against insect aliens just to get captured be a 2-bit Ronin cosplayer. Quote
TPLSTER21 Posted January 25, 2015 Author Posted January 25, 2015 The lightning villain is probably in both sets. Cause I remember seeing the description for ultrasonic raider, and them mentioning the lightning villain. One of the descriptions given of the lightning villain mentioned him in a glider and that fits with what is in this set. The other description mentions a small jet, which could also be this. Now this might be ultrasonic and maybe he is in both sets but I don't think that has happened in the same wave with this line with villains. Maybe we haven't seen Ultrasonic yet? As for the sets, looks like Lego has fallen in love with that grappling hook missile as it is in both sets. And from what I have seen in online reviews, it doesn't work too well when used with the rope. Boat set looks pretty good. Looks like the flyer has a bomb dropping feature. Jet back looks huge. Doubt the minifig will be able to stand with it on! Antimatter base looks.....okay.... I guess.....need to see a final pic. And given these reveals and the unknown that is 70171 Ultrasonic Showdown. I'm really curious to see that set now. Quote

Surprisingly Antimatter's hideout looks more desirable now that I look at it,might worth buying after all.So if the electric villain is in the HQ set then who is the baddie on smallest set?? ReZourceman Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Wow. That ship is incredible. Day 1. Quote
SMC Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 So no ideas what the batteries could be for? Quote
BrickSev Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 So no ideas what the batteries could be for? My guess is: The boat seems to have a sort of "light" located in the "radar/sensor" area so it could the batteries powered function AntiMatter's base seems to have some light too or they could power the portal, which would be very nice Btw I see the boat has two of the new "multiple stud shooters" currently available in Star Wars sets Quote
8BrickMario Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 I wonder. What could require outside batteries? LEGO already makes light and sound bricks. Quote
elederberg Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Like everyone has been saying, that boat looks really awesome and I can't wait till it's available. I'm very curious to see who's in the UltraSonic set since the Lightning villain is in the Boat set. Quote
Zergos Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Thats really weird, i guess the brickset article is wrong then. They said that the lightning villain was in a different set that includes a small jet. Quote
TPLSTER21 Posted January 26, 2015 Author Posted January 26, 2015 (edited) You know, maybe he is in both sets. Brickset describes 70171 as "Other sets included a small, jet flown by an electricity-themed villain". And Brick Fanatics describes 70171 as "guy with electric style mask on a flying glider". Now both of those descriptions could apply to the villain vehicle in 70173, but did 2 different sites make the same error in assuming that 70171 was in fact the villain in 70173? That would be hard to believe. But then again, Brickset said that 3 of the Ninjago sets are dragons and we know that dragons are the main build of only 2 sets. It's hard to really focus on every detail when you are being whisked around the displays and subjected to what I'm sure is information overload. But if what they say is correct, then I hope that the build of 70171 is significantly different that the villain vehicle in 70173. In any case, we are probably going to get the answer to this in about 72 hours or so when we hopefully get some pics from the Nuremburg Toy Fair. Edited January 26, 2015 by TPLSTER21 Quote
Pulp Detective Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 If they're gonna use him in both sets that'll be pretty cheap from Lego's part.I mean usually villains on big sets are exclusive. The other thing that worries me is that I can spot Jack Fury on both sets,I mean why don't they use other agents so they can have a little variety??Any way if we do get JF I hope he gets a new face print. Unless the set is a retail store exclusive, in which case often major story characters will sometimes not be exclusive to the set. Quote
PenPlays Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 And now the App-Bricks make total sense. Purchases incentives! Quote
Kalhiki Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 And now the App-Bricks make total sense. Purchases incentives! Hey, that's pretty neat. Too bad I lack a tablet, though honestly I don't see how it could work on a phone due to the size of the App Bick construct. Quote
DuckBricks Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 And now the App-Bricks make total sense. Purchases incentives! The AntiMatter one looks especially cool. After all, it is the biggest set... Quote
MrFishboy11 Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Hey so does anyone know when I can buy the new 2015 sets or where?! If anyone has the DPCI's I'd love to see them. Thanks so much! Quote
Takanuinuva Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 I wonder if there will be a combo model that uses all the App bricks and it unlocks something big about Ultra Agents Quote
DuckBricks Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 (edited) Hey so does anyone know when I can buy the new 2015 sets or where?! If anyone has the DPCI's I'd love to see them. Thanks so much! If you're talking about UA, those won't be out until late February like Ninjago. However, all of the other winter wave 2015 sets have been widely available since January 1 at the Lego Store, Target, Walmart, and pretty much anywhere that sells LEGO. "Batteries not included" notice on both sets. Wonder what that is for??? Oh my, this is fascinating! The boat surely can't float due to the brick-built hull, so... no ideas. Could be a placeholder, could be something else. A new gimmick? A new incentive to buy sets? A new app tie-in? A new light or sound brick, or both combined? I guess we will have to see... Any obvious motors on any of the sets (Well, the Portal Hideout; a motor could be hiding anywhere in that colossal boat) Edited January 27, 2015 by legozebra Quote
MrFishboy11 Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 I meant Ultra Agents because I was confused as to how BrickShow and JangBricks have gotten these sets. Hmm maybe Target or Ebay? Quote
