Jakorin Swiftsword Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 (edited) After a failed mission to find Boba Fett on Fondor, Rebel pilots Jakorin Studdington and Lane Platestar make the jump to lightspeed to the planet of Bothawui. Here they have searched for hours still without the slightest sight of the bounty hunter or his ship, the Slave I. Red 12, this is Blue 4. Do you copy? I read you loud and clear Blue 4. Status on the target? Still no sign of target or his ship on this side of the planet. You? That would be a negative. Nothing but Bothans on this side, naturally. Copy. I think we've done all we can for now. Bothawui and Fondor are both clean. I say we head back to the Redemption. Roger that, Blue 4. I'm in the mood for a Nerf steak anyway. I could also go for some Bantha nuggets. "Shivers" Bantha nuggets? Do you even know what a Bantha is? Yep. Tasty. Let's just make the jump to lightspeed before you make me throw up on my controls. "Chuckles" Coordinates set. Making the jump to lightspeed in 5....4....3... 2....1...."Shooom!!!" Edited September 1, 2014 by Jakorin Swiftsword Quote

VK-318 Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Oh, very well done! The banter between the pilots is very nice as well, it reminds me of the chatter during the Battle of Yavin. As far as the build, I wonder if you might not want to turn the bottom S-foils upside-down, to make the ship more symmetrical. And if you're "Blue" 4, you should probably have some blue on the wings instead of red. That transparent stand is really impressive - I'm somewhat surprised that it actually holds the weight, to be honest. The ground it's sitting on is pretty well done, too: the mixture of trees is just about right and looks sufficiently random. I like the choice of gray for your X-wing instead of the usual white, and I don't believe I've ever seen the thrusters done that way before. Now, how about switching sides? Quote

The stand has a few extra studs near the bottom to help support the weight. I never like the way Lego made the x-wing white, so my version definately had to be grey. Quote
Wat Tambor Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Nice second entry for the curren episode! The little story is quite amusing and the build itself also looks great. Especially the irregualr boder looks great and the random placed trees add a touch of reality to it. But as the user VK-318 has mentioned before you maybe should have added some blue parts to the micro X-wing. Quote
MKJoshA Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Nice micro-scale. Since this is the 2nd micro-scale build on Bothawui does that mean it's the hardest to build on for everyone? Quote
Manx Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Nice forest and nice ship, overall great MOC! Quote
