TheLegoDr Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 I don't picture this working at all. LEGO needs time to plan sets. If it wasn't already planned, it won't get put into production now. But since I want more LOTR, I'd be willing to sign if it helped. I just don't see it happening...sorry to be negative. Quote
Floundie Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 So not this kind of picture? http://s6.postimg.or..._rings_main.jpg I'd like to sign too. Quote
Trunkbass Posted August 26, 2014 Author Posted August 26, 2014 (edited) WE ARE LIVE PEOPLE! -> Sign the 'Save LEGO LotR!' petition here: http://www.change.or...rd-of-the-rings Please share your personal stories too. Why do you love LEGO LotR? Which sets do you still want? Let your voices be heard! So not this kind of picture? http://s6.postimg.or..._rings_main.jpg Yeah, although it is a great picture, the visibility as a thumbnail is not so good. Edited August 26, 2014 by Trunkbass Quote

Diggydoes Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Signed! I guess it won´t help much, but maybe there´s a slight chance that (if enough signatures get collected) that TLG will produce one "one-off" set a la "Lego Ideas"?! Please Lego don´t make us spend our hard earned cash on custom figures that will most likely appear once the line is announced dead!!!! Ah yeah, i´ve posted the link to the petition on "1000steine.de" and "imperiumdersteine" the two most active Lego Forums in Germany! Quote
Trunkbass Posted August 26, 2014 Author Posted August 26, 2014 Ah yeah, i´ve posted the link to the petition on "1000steine.de" and "imperiumdersteine" the two most active Lego Forums in Germany! That's really great Diggydoes! I'll manage a list of websites where the petition has been posted to get a nice overview. I'll try to contact Lord of the Bricks and several popular LEGO YouTube accounts later this day. Quote
SMC Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 (edited) I have posted it on brickset.com Edited August 26, 2014 by SMC Quote
SMC Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 a question, how does that site work, why is it counting down to 100 and I look up lego and some were closed, how do they get closed? Quote
LegoThomas Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 (edited) Did sign. And shared the petition to friends. Edited August 26, 2014 by LegoThomas Quote
Trunkbass Posted August 26, 2014 Author Posted August 26, 2014 (edited) Thank you everybody! a question, how does that site work, why is it counting down to 100 and I look up lego and some were closed, how do they get closed? I suppose the 100-mark is automatic, I already tried to change it but I can't find where. I think you need at least 100 votes to be counted as a 'real petition' according to the site, but I could be wrong. EDIT: I found a way to change it. For now I'm hesitant to raise it a lot, fearing it won't meet the expectations. Maybe I can gradually raise it in time. I've put it to 150 now as a test. Some of the LEGO petitions are closed because the issues are resolved, like the petition for less stereotype girl LEGO (they arranged a meeting with LEGO to discuss the matter after 50 000+ votes). I feel you, but about the planning: some believe that the second wave was split and that the second half of it (which could be turned into a third wave) would have already been laid out at least partially. The fact that we have pictures of preliminary sets (or set ideas) from inside the office (you know the blurry picture with sets like Orthanc in a white LEGO design room) and some leftover sets in the bonus level of the LotR game shows that there has been SOME thinking about more sets and that some of them have already been built (physically or virtually). Bycougars11 Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 I signed it. You can probably increase the amount of signatures even more. I don't think we will have any problems getting signatures for this. We are already at fifty and its only been a couple of hours. Quote

Didn't the DK minifigure encyclopedia also mention the LOTR line was set to continue with more sets later in 2013? Quote
TheRedViper Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Someone should contact brotherhood workshop and ask him to promote the petition in one of his vids. Quote
