Hi again all! So, I finally ended up giving my Hai Peng its own thread, as suggested in another thread, just in case somebody doesn't have the intention-span to look through the thread for the rest of my POTC3 MOCs. (I know I don't) So here it is, Mister Phes! ;-)

Hai Peng: The ship granted to Captain Barbossa by Sao Feng. This junk goes over the falls into Jones' locker. (not to be confused with the Empress) The sails are made out of quality, and rather expensive paper. The paper is not white, it may appear white in the photos, but it is more of a tanish. I know the ship is a little square, but I did not have too many teracota coloured bricks.

Thanks for looking!

Thats good. The ships shape isn't too much of a problem.Great job on the sails. BTW I like the part in the movie when the guy breaks of his toe. Funny

Oh, the guy with frostbite? I love horror movies, but that came off as a little gory for a Disney movie.

Very nice ship, love that water fall great job!

At long last, you've finally gone ahead and glorified this MOC, and what a well deserved glorification it is too.

But alas, I still haven't seen At World's End yet...

  • Author

You haven't seen it yet?! X-O

  • Governor

No, I haven't had time. I might get round to seeing it later this week or maybe next week...

  • Author

I'm going to see it for the second time probably next weekish.. I may get more inspiration.

  • Governor

You thinking about building more Pirates of the Caribbean MOCs?

  • Author

Maybe, it depends on how busy I am because I've got a few other projects to take care of first.

But alas, I still haven't seen At World's End yet...

In my opinion.. you aren't missing much ;-)

Really? It did have a complicated story line, but if you have a good jist of the first two movies it won't be too bad. I loved it, and the malestrom scene had some of the best cgi efects ever. That is one thing about the trilogy, the effects get progressively better. (in my opinion ;-) )

Right, thanks lads... We do have a POTC 3 - From a Pirate LEGO Fanatics Perspective thread for comments such as those.

But more importantly what do we think of Sir Nadroj's junk?

  • Author

Oops, trailed a little off there.

Does anyone know who was on the ship exactly, I know I have the main characters down (Barbossa/Elizabeth/Mr Cotton/Gibs/etc...) but does anyone know how many singapore guards/soldiers were there? They are so anyonomous! :-$

Ahh, yeh I wasn't meaning any slight on your work. I think this is an excellent MOC SirNadroj :)

  • Author

Thanks Duke. I do appreciate all feedback!

Very nice ship you have there *y*

Imagine if someone built them to scale? Wow! If I had more blue bricks on hand I would have made it bigger. Oh well, i'm happy with how it came out. :)

Hey, that's a great oriental ship! The brick built hull doesn't look half bad, and as usual, those type of sails always get to me. (In a good way. ;-))

I'm also surprised at how well those 1x1 pillars look as the ship's masts.

  • Author

Thanks. I wanted to keep to one or two colors, and those were the only terricota (if I spelled that right) bricks that would work.
