The "Dark Tribes" are the bats, spiders and scorpions! They could in no way come back as an enemy though, because in the Illumination every possible enemy was healed. I am glad that they made this the case, because there was not much going on with those tribes, in terms of possible sets.

They are actually called "The Crawlers."

Did anyone see this? Lego's Youtube channel posted this webisode(It's in their Korean Playlist):

Now this is the true Chima finale. Probably won't set to well for the poeple who were looking foward to seeing the Dark Tribes coming back as villians, but I think it's really wonderful ending.

That's a nice little short.

Also, in case no one could tell, The Crawlers are in this short as well.

That would be amazing!!:) I especially want to see the printing under Bulkar's armour. I am pretty glad to see that Bulkar's does not have a Fire Suit as he can fill in for the emptiness of generic Bear Minifigures in the Chima universe!! After all, the war has ended so no characters have a fire suit anymore. It would have been better to get a Bladvic with a crown and with no fire suit on though!!:(

Your wish is my command!

Sorry the pics aren't the best quality, but winter doesn't provide ideal lighting conditions and I didn't have time for all the extensive editing I normally do :sceptic:

But I'm sure it's a Christmas-themed webisode....

Found Icebite's Claw Driller and Vultrix's Sky Scavenger at Target. Prices are $49.99 and $39.99 respectively in USD. Vultrix's Sky Scavenger was not detailed as a Target exclusive. I found that it was interesting that it took us a while to find images of it, yet it isn't an exclusive as far as I can tell.

May the hunt begin!

Mind telling me the DCPI numbers so I can check mine with BrickSeek?

I didn't buy them. I didn't jot down the DPCI either. Sorry!

For what it's worth, I found both of them again at a different Target, along with the Lion and Ice Bear Battle Packs. The Ice Bears were an instant purchase... until I spotted Bionicle in the corner of my eye.

So for what it's worth, they are limited, but they are out there, along with pretty much every "January-release-window" theme besides The Lego Movie and Star Wars sets.

Now I've built the Claw Driller itself, I feel like sharing some of my thoughts on it. The Bear vehicle Bulkar rides is okay, nothing special. The Ice Bear mech is certainly imposing and a satisfyingly long build (asides from the repetition in the legs, but that was unavoidable), and looks decent enough on display. But somehow, I just can't believe the set has over 600 parts in it as it's not much bigger than the Ninjago Samurai Mech which had about 200 less parts in it :sceptic:

As for playability: it really doesn't pose well at all. The arms have such a construction that the shoulder joint can only move sideways when the arm is horizontal (as opposed to many other mechs). The elbow joint is constructed from hinge plates which don't really help poseability either, and therefore, due to the unusual and limiting joint placements, it's quite an awkward set to get into a decent pose and that hurts what is otherwise a good set. I may just swap out the click joints for ball joints (not sure why they didn't go for them in the first place, the bricks with ball cup are available in Trans-Light Blue) on the shoulders.

Sorry, no pics - I just don't have the time to take them :sadnew:

Never mind, I found them at my Target (with Brainiac Attack, Black Manta Deep Sea Strike, TIE Advanced Prototype, Double Decker Couch and two Protectors) Pretty happy day today!

I just noticed that Vultrix's Sky Scavenger is listed as a "Hard to Find" set on Lego.com. For those of us in the US, that means that it will be exclusive at Target.

Speaking of the Sky Scavenger, has anybody in the UK seen it yet? I've been able to find all the sets intended for January release... except that one. For some bizarre reason it's not even available to pre-order like the other Chima sets are on the UK S@H, so now I'm confused - is it getting a January release here or not?

I'm going to my local LEGO Store later anyway to scoop up some more of the Chima sets, so hopefully they'll know what's going on with it. But if it's a Target exclusive in the US, it probably means it's an Argos exclusive here - and due to the unique way they're run, they don't get new set stock in until mid January :sceptic:

^ So I'm guessing it's going to be a Smyths exclusive for the UK in that case (Smyths is the one place I don't check as I don't live near any of their stores). But it appears that it's going to be put out on the 1st January at (presumably) S@H and brand stores. A bit annoying, since it's the only set I haven't got from the new wave yet and it seems very odd that they'd put out all the sets (not counting 70225-7 given they have a completely different release date) out early in my local brand store - except the Sky Scavenger

It's in the Manchester Lego Store, certainly.

Cured Fangar minifigure from Taobao: http://gw.alicdn.com...!1881530311.jpg

Well I wasn't expecting this! Looks like this might be another Target exclusive minifig set? Looks to be very similar packaging so I wouldn't be surprised. So what does this figure represent: Fangar before he was trapped in the ice, or a Fangar transformed back to his normal pre-ice trapped state? (does the latter happen in the story? The show isn't aired in my country) Sorry if the answer seems obvious by the way, but I wanted to be sure. The figure looks like it's suitable to represent either.

The only problem now is that I want cured/pre-ice trapped versions of all the characters in the Ice Hunter tribes

Thanks for the info, just unfortunate I live nowhere near Manchester. I can wait for the 1st January though :classic:

And on a slightly related question: Are sets 70225-7 actually a summer wave of Chima sets, or are they part of this current wave but pushed back to Spring for whatever reason? I asked some LEGO store employees about them and they didn't seem to know anything about them, so I was wondering if anyone else did know.

Fangar was cured along with everyone else of undead, icy looks after the great illumination...

Excited to see what other figures will come in this box!

Ah, that makes sense. Thanks! Now that makes me wonder if we'll get cured versions of the other tribe leaders (at least), but I guess it's extremely unlikely at the moment as Chima is coming to an end.

Fangar was the only one that was actually seen in his "cured" state in the TV series. The glow just disappears from the Hunters.

But it was assumed the rest were cured... The animators probably just didn't want to make new animation models for a split-second scene... But yeah, it isn't likely we will get new figures.

So the rumor that Chima ends this year is true??

Judging by the fact that most themes have their rumoured Summer 2015 set lists already and Chima isn't one of them, I would assume so. For now at least anyway. I'd be sad to see the theme go, but at the same time it would allow me to put focus into other themes.

Whatever did happen to those rumoured Speedorz sets though? Since they don't appear to be coming any time soon, I think LEGO definitely pulled the plug on them. It'd be nice to have official confirmation of their cancellation though. Especially since everybody's Speedorz card collection will now have a massive, unfillable gap in it :hmpf_bad:

I emailed Lego about it. They don't even have record of their existence. Apparently whatever information was given at the Toy Fair was false, or right before they were cancelled.

In short, they no longer exist. :hmpf_bad:
