Borex Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 The BP's look great. And my guess is that there will be new battlepacks in future waves. If i was a kid, i think Chima would be my favorite lego series. Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Honestly, love the lack of speedorz. Not a fan of them. Quote
krystalKING Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Liking the look of all the sets, and I especally love the beautiful artwork in the top right on all of them, it's just gorgous! Quote
DuckBricks Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Honestly, love the lack of speedorz. Not a fan of them. I liked the old Speedorz molds better than the new ones... The new ones have no style whatsoever with the character's face plastered on the front of them... At leas the old ones were shaped like animal head motorcycles, which was actually pretty cool. Plus, the show itself continues to use the old molds, with an old mold stylized Phoenix speeder and Vulture speeder etc Quote

From what I've seen in reviews the new chassis looks like quite an improvement, but I do agree that the old body molds were far superior to the gross new ones... Quote

Daimar Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 (edited) So what happened to the brickbuild legend beasts? Will we get more? Any news or rumors on that? Edited September 17, 2014 by Daimar Quote
Agent Fusion Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Has anyone brought up the yeti in the larger tiger set? Quote
PenPlays Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Has anyone brought up the yeti in the larger tiger set? Yes. I have at least several times. It's a placeholder for a Beaver (notice the wrench)*. *If you aren't acquainted with the show, they love to fix things, hence the wrench. Quote
Agent Fusion Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Really? In that case, does that mean all of the tribes will have at least one physical figure? Quote
Lyichir Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Really? In that case, does that mean all of the tribes will have at least one physical figure? Apart from one-off species like Plomar or Dom de la Woosh, I think you might be right! Not sure, though—I'm not that much of a Chima fan and haven't watched much of the TV series. Quote
Agent Fusion Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 I forgot about Dom, and Plomar doesn't really count, in my opinion. Quote
krystalKING Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 (edited) I forgot about Dom, and Plomar doesn't really count, in my opinion. If going by the TV series, just Dom is missing, but, if we count the books and games, there's at least two more tribes: The Owl Tribe, coming from the MMO, and: The mouse tribe, from the books. AnthonyP301 Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 I like the looks of the prelims! I love the battle packs and the Polar Bears look cool. I'm glad that LEGO's finally making Balkar and a beaver, too. If you look on the box art, the fire tribes' Fire Chi is personalized with a symbol of their tribe on it. I'm surprised that they're still doing Fire vs. Ice, but I like it. I got the Worriz Fire Bike a week ago and I'm tempted to finally start getting the summer wave since the show has been pretty good, even though there's a couple episodes I haven't seen yet, I liked the Worriz poly and FvI will stick around for a bit. The only thing I'm disappointed in is the lack of Panthar, but I haven't seen him in the show yet so I don't know anything about him. Quote

The only thing I'm disappointed in is the lack of Panthar, but I haven't seen him in the show yet so I don't know anything about him. He's there. Tormak's Shadow Blazer includes him. Tormak is Panthar after getting his fur burned for stealing a map from the Phoenix. Quote
Pulp Detective Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 He's there. Tormak's Shadow Blazer includes him. Tormak is Panthar after getting his fur burned for stealing a map from the Phoenix. So Tormak is not a panther but only took the name Panthar just because he looks likes one?? Quote
Aedai Rivin Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 I was confused at how Tormak's Shadow Blazer switched colors, so I looked closer. Mainly, look at the front claws at both the main picture and the fire Chi Power mode, as well as the lower jaw of the main picture vehicle. Basically, entire front (head plus the front wheels) is on a spin-y thing. This also (unintentionally?) gives the vehicle a slight bit of suspension. All in all very cool. Quote
genecyst Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 BEARS AND BEAVERS AT LEAST!!! i'm pretty excited by this new tribes and sets, those look quite better than the first ice and fire wave. i was waiting for beavers since they appeared in the tv show and my girlfriend is preying for a Dom the la Whoosh minifigures also... About speedorz, i'm not fond of them too, but some were great parts pack apart from their main "function". I'm missing rhino, raven and bear legend beast too. Do i forgot someone else? Too bad there aren't any news about them. Quote
Lyichir Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 So can anyone tell if the 2x2 round plate launcher (which is in several sets, including all of the battle packs) is a new element? It sure looks like one, and I'm very interested given Lego's phenomenal recent track record with new launcher designs. Quote
TheBrickPal Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 I'm just so very confused on why we are getting another Fire vs. Ice wave. Is there anything in the TV series that suggests this? Quote
PenPlays Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 I'm just so very confused on why we are getting another Fire vs. Ice wave. Is there anything in the TV series that suggests this? Nothing directly (besides Panthar). There does appear to be some plot development going on that will lead well into the 2015 wave, however. Quote

PenPlays Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 That plus a bit of a disappointingly anticlimactic season finale in Russian... At least one episode hasn't been put on VK. There are only nineteen of the twenty total episodes. Quote
DuckBricks Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 At least one episode hasn't been put on VK. There are only nineteen of the twenty total episodes. That would explain it! Quote
narbilu Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 I never was a fan of the Chima series, but with the coming battlepacks and the discovery that the armor the figs are wearing, suits a lot of purposes... I might be buying a lot of Chima in 2015. Next to that I think the flaming wings look brilliant. Quote
