I want the boat. The giant shell in gold and white is great. The ears on the hair really bug me, since you couldn't use the crazy pastel colors on a minifigure. The pink crystal looks good, and the scissors do, too. I like the hidden gold book, the gold wings, and the purple and white/pink leaf parts. I'm quite intrigued!

Elven lies... here!

Yay! Thank you so much! I'm so excited for this theme! Shame there aren't any box pics, or pics of all of the sets. But thank you for sharing what you have!

The character designs look great. It's worth noting that each character seems to have a signature outfit, rather than coming in a range of outfits like in LEGO Friends. This makes sense since the outfits serve as visual cues to their personalities and powers, so mixing and matching outfits would make the characters' identities less clear. Also, it's fairly common in kids' adventure series for characters to continue wearing the same outfit for the length of the adventure unless there's a costume change that relates specifically to a development in the plot (like how the heroes of Avatar: The Last Airbender would often wear disguises to hide their identities, or how the ninja of LEGO Ninjago had their DX costumes specifically for when they would ride their dragons).

The sets themselves also look fantastic. I'm wondering if the Crystal Hollow has some kind of action feature, like maybe the crystals close around the key and open up when you turn a knob or hit a switch. The Adventure Ship looks awesome, as expected. The spa doesn't look bad, either. I like the look of the characters' animal companions! Also, it looks like each element has an emblem that appears on both 2x2 round plates and on 1x1 round plates on each of the keys. Distinctive icons for characters and elements have been a great feature for themes like Ninjago and BIONICLE. So it's great to see this theme using them too.

Not bad, but not really something I'm terribly interested in. I was hoping for more green, but oh well. That ship is neat though. If nothing else, that sail may be useful.

Who would have imagined it..., but after being disapointed about next years SW sets, this elves line is a pleasant surprise.

Not that I am that much excited by the theme itself, and I couldn't care less about the minidolls (though I wouldn't mind to see some of the characters in minifig form), but in a way these sets are refreshing.

I especially like all the new colors of foliage. And a couple of extra purple and pink(ish) slopes and arches are allways welcome too.

Friends allready added some interesting new colors, but the palette of this elves theme seems even better.

Really great part packs for alien mocs or adding details and highlights to grey or tan builds..

I wonder how these hairpieces will look on flesh minifigs..

I'm sure many FOLs who love elf MOCs would be happy to see some new female hairpieces. However Farran's hairpiece looks odd--- are his ears real or just painting flesh on the Sleepyhead? Great characters design, we're able to see some calm and wicked expressions for minidolls finally.

I like the boat and the two other fantasy scenes look great too.

Wish that there could be a bigger building set in the next wave if Elves succeeds.

Also love the scissors int he smallest set :classic:

And that's the only thing I'm interested with that set......OMG.....finally we can all MOC hairdressing salons or barber shops the right way instead of using an Indian twin feather piece as scissors.

Feathers?? In a barber shop??? You being an australian must know that real men don't use feathers to shave...

Wow... Even the minifigures are way better than before. But still not my piece of cake. But the sets are very nice and well done. Could always sell the dolls.

There is a hair salon in the upcoming Friends line that has those scissors. It even uses the life preserver piece as the handles of scissors in the sign. It was in the bank of preliminary images that got deleted. I saves some of them.

I just noticed this is in the action forum ?

Maybe it's time for a minidolls forum like there is for action figures ?

Answer:

Maybe we should call this forum "History & Adventure" or "History & Fantasy" to placate those that argue against the fantasy castle & LOTR etc from being "historical".

My reason against that saying is that I think the minidolls and minifigures are still based on the same scale of System sets. We may still discuss the similiar buildings and parts in the same place despite the figures are not exactly the same.

Oh and, I wonder if Mr Just2good have larger pics. I'd like to see what the tatoos and prints look like.

I know this is slightly off-topic but even though both are roughly similar in scale we do see a division in minifig and minidoll sets......many of the minidoll sets actually have more building in them.....a tuned to be more creator like than city or castle.

In saying that now, I wonder if this will expand into a new fantasy line for Lego ?

Ok, I can see the water key in the adventure ship, and the earth key in the crystal hollow, and even though we've only seen prelims of the bakery the fire key could clearly be seen in that set. Where is the air key though? I'm not seeing it anywhere in either of the sets with Aira, and I wouldn't think it would be in the treetop hideaway since she's not even in that set.

I want it. I want it all. Those and the Frozen set. Nobody can stop me...

My sentiments exactly! It'll make up for only having 4 Disney Princess sets in this year's line-up.

Oh, NICE! Another minidoll-based theme! I'm definitely liking the characters that I've seen thus far from the prelim pics, and it looks like the elfs/faeries have a new skirt mold? Anyways, I'm definitely getting the boat if nothing else: Gotta add it to my ever-growing fleet. ;)

By the way, anyone have any kind of release date for these (I didn't recall seeing one as I read through this thread)?
