Jonsson Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Hm, that sound kinda interesting, but the pricetags (if that are what the numbers represent) does scare me a bit, I want larger models! :D Quote
adotnamedstud Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 I believe so Ondra. That'd be cool if they included the segment where celebrities drive for the fastest time. It'd be a great opportunity all around the board for LEGO and Top Gear. Unless they do the American version Quote
Leewan Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Seems interesting, I'm really curious about this theme. It looks like a licensed Racers theme. Thanks for the list CM4Sci ! Quote
goalieboy82 Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 wasn't that a tv show from the 1960's http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supercar_(TV_series) Quote
Bob C Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Somehow my mouth has started to water. "McLaren Mercedes Pitstop" sounds really interesting; it reminds me of the Scuderia Ferrari pit team sets from a few years back. On a related note, maybe Racers is returning? Quote
Ceroknight Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 At that price range, I doubt they'll look nice Quote

With the return of the Arctic sets in city and the re-introduction of Bionicle, I could see them bringing back another older theme like Racers. Edited August 27, 2014 by TheLegoPerson9 Quote
SuchBricksWow Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 I hope these sets are minifig scale Quote
Ondra Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Im still interesting what we will see, low prices of first four cars indicates that these sets will have about 200 pieces. But Im interested in F 14T and scuderia ferrari, I think we will see remake of ferrari truck set based on price http://brickset.com/sets/8654-1/Scuderia-Ferrari-Truck . Quote
GallardoLU Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 (edited) What about the American version? What's so bad about it? our American Top Gear doesn't stand up to the UK version. Clarkson, Hammond, and May work together so well (in a entertaining way, not a functional way) the American boys are trying to give the same type of show but everything feels artificial, with dialog pre planned. where as the UK boys have a natural back and forth that doesn't need to be planned out it will happen. I also feel that the UK show does a better job of conveying the feel that when they do talk about a car they are speaking from experience, where as the US boys just don't convey that as well (I know most do know their cars well, but it doesn't come through) so here's hoping Top Gear UK sets are on the way, and I can't wait to see these sets, good or bad its nice to see real cars attempted in Lego form once again. HomerJSimpson Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 (edited) The set list for the new theme coming out in 2015, "Super Cars", has the prices in NZD. I converted them to USD. Here they are: $20: 458 Italia GT2 $20: LaFerrari $20: McLaren P1 $20: Porsche 918 Spyder $60: McLaren Mercedes Pitstop $80: Porsche 911 GT Finish $150: F14 and Scuderina Ferrari Edited August 27, 2014 by HomerJSimpson Quote

David Thomsen Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Don't forget that these prices are in New Zealand dollars! I'm very curious about this theme, they're obviously not at a high enough price range to be realistic large-models, but I find it hard to conceive of realistic licensed Lego car models at minifig scale.
