Brickprawn Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Does anybody know size wise how the new Ferrari F1 car compares to the old Ferrari victory set 8168-1 from 2009? It would be good if it fit in the transporter but it looks too big. Also have these sets been found at Lego stores yet? I'm going to be in Leeds this Saturday and wouldn't mind picking them up. Quote
XAxles Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Oh, how I wish I could do this... No. No. Doomsday has come. I think the 458 can use some more work at the bumper, as it seems to be anything OTHER than the 458 in that view. Methinks leave a 2-stud tall gap with just a 1x1 plate on a jumper. Where's my wing delete on the Porsche 911 set? Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Thanks again for another video review 'j2g'.........this model is perhaps the best looking of the whole $15USD series.......it's actually the version that raced at Le Mans back a year or so ago (saw the images on Goggle Images). What review is next ? Quote

What review is next ? I believe it's the 2013 WEC car of Fisichella, Bruni and Villander. It would have been awesome if we had different number stickers for the numerous AF Corse entries that year though. Quote
Bornin1980something Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Good video reviews, 'j2g', but can you turn them into pictorial reviews, each with their own thread? The pictures are already good enough. Quote

XAxles Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 (edited) Just didn't dig the aesthetics of the F1 car... but would gladly scan and recolor the stickers for the computers and keep the rest of the pitstop, if only for the lattice towers. Edited February 26, 2015 by XAxles Quote

karmajay Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 What are these listed under on the Lego website? Thanks! Quote
Brickprawn Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 But they didn't because Fischella. At Le Mans the #51 was Fisichella, Bruni and Malucelli with the full season entry being Fisichella and Bruni. At the final round in Bahrain Ferrari swapped the driver pairings and Fisichella was replaced by Vilander. Quote

Look at its set number. Quote
Brickprawn Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 (edited) Just picked up the Ferrari 458 Italia GT2 on my lunch break. Overall I'm really impressed with it despite the masses of stickers. I especially think the headlight pieces could have done with printing though. After buying this I can see myself buying the rest of the wave. I reckon I'll start with the Porsche GT finish line set tomorrow. Edited February 27, 2015 by Brickprawn Quote
brickpreviews Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Just finished reviewing the 75899 LaFerrari set. It is my first Speed Champions set and I am liking it. Even though they are a bit low poly I think they captured the essence of the car pretty well. Doesn't have much playability though but good for display for sure. P3_Super_Bee Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 75911 - McLaren Mercedes Pit Shop. $29.99 USD @ TRU Will say with the chrome decals was a tad bit tricky to photograph. The full set. The pit has a built in launcher. Press down on the Blue/Black lever and car will launch. Bad picture but the yellow element is 95820, Brick 1x2 with horizontal holder, element 30043, Plate 1x4 with reverse hook is attached to the rear of the car. It connects into 95820 above for the launcher action. The driver: Pit Crew: Both pit crew members have the same torso's. The MP4-29: with the nose clip removed: The Pit: Quote
jimmynick Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Now that's a cool car! Thanks for sharing the pictures, P3_Super_Bee! Quote
Rick Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Just finished reviewing the 75899 LaFerrari set. 75911 - McLaren Mercedes Pit Shop. $29.99 USD @ TRU I'd like to encourage you both to write a full review for EB. Of course, if you're interested in reviewing, I can also recommend joining the Reviewers Academy, but that's no requirement to post reviews on EB. Quote
CM4Sci Posted March 1, 2015 Author Posted March 1, 2015 Found all of the sets at a Toys R Us in Minnesota! Quote
prateek Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Can someone with the LaFerrari swap out the red 1x1 slopes beside the windshield with these: To simulate the side mirrors. On the real one they kinda resemble this piece so just wondering how it would look. Quote
