This sounds pretty great. My only concern is that they may be just a bit too small. I'd happily pay 25-50% more if they were the same scale as the Creator highway speedster.

I for one also hope we get a Lamborghini in the line. I own the blue Lambo cop car and wish I had been able to pick up the yellow Lambo and would definatly buy a Lambo if one came out. (its too bad that the yellow Lambo and its sticker sheet cost so much on Bricklink :( )

I feel they will be similar idea to the great vehicles race car......price point says minifig scale but with a licensing add.....hello fancy DSS !

I guess this is to stick it Mega Bloks with their racing car/sports car themed sets........fingers cross it is tied to Top Gear because I will buy them for sure !

I feel like these might turn out like Megablok's Need for Speed line...

I don't think they'll be that bad, but I am worried that they will use a few specialised blocks in order to make the cars look more realistic. Lego blocks can make all cars look kind of the same, like this Ford:

And this Toyota:

And this BMW:

HAhahaha! This made me laugh xD

I remember having that set, and that minifig =D

I mean I feel like they will be using super specialized pieces, should have been more specific

I kind of want big UCS sets where LEGO displays awesome building techniques like they did with the new Tumbler or the MINI Cooper

MCLAREN MCLAREN MCLAREN!

The prices are just fine for me. I don't like spending a super large amount.

I really hope that if there is a second wave, we get a Lamborghini Aventador.

This.

I'm only really interested in these if they turn out to be realistically minifig-sized, and include the presenters. Here's hoping for at least a new 6-stud-wide windscreen part, something I've realised recently we don't have enough different depths of... :sceptic:

When do the pictures for the next year get leaked on the web somewhere? I'm assuming there's a delay from when they're first taken from the retailers catalog to when they are discussed on forums.

Not necessarily. TLG has gotten better at stopping leaks in recent years, but I'd still anticipate most of the official pictures turning up by the end of October. That's assuming this theme debuts in January, though as crowded as the playing field is getting (return of Pirates and BIONICLE, the new Elves-or-Faeries-depending-on-the-translation theme, and the continuation of the usual evergreens along with Disney Princesses, The LEGO Movie, Chima, Ninjago, and Ultra Agents) it might not even come out until later in the year.

Just found this: http://www.brickshop...-champions.html

Sadly no pictures, but it seems like this theme will be called Speed Champions instead of Supercars.

Here is a rough translation:

'What do Ferrari, McLaren and Porsche have in common? Indeed! Fast cars! LEGO Speed Champions is a new theme in 2015 with construction sets fast cars!'

Not Top Gear then :sceptic:

I'm thinking they'll be branded under Top Gear in the UK, and/or they'll have a new Top Gear app to go with them- as pitched in 2013.
