I made some observation and I think that 1:10 scenario never happen. This scale is same scale as ferrari technic and in system version it will be set with huge amount of pieces and high price.Rather this I think there will be scenario with these wheels http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemInv.asp?P=41896c04 that are next year rereleased in this set http://brickset.com/sets/42041-1/Race-Truck .

If you want to see how this smaller scale will look, look at creator set roaring roadster or cool convertible. These cars are about 35 cm long and looks like model team to me.

Im very happy that they choose this car rather than laferrari or italia...

Oh, no, the 458 is just an instant classic for me. Miles better at all fronts than the 430 and is still a strong fighter even after five years. Besides, it can possibly be the last NA V8 Maranello would make after the Speciale variant.

Alright boys and girls, here are more pictures (from Allen Tran and TLG), with captions on the side:

16043623480_0631edc958_c.jpg

  1. There's the connection for the wheels.
  2. And about those wheels: Are those brake rotors on the wheels? Are those tires skinny?
  3. The nose has a one-plate high separation, just like the real nose. That's one point.

15608592724_c13cdb38d2_c.jpg

  1. Why is the man driving NOT James May? WHY? WHY?! What have you done?
  2. Apparently that little bar in front is attached by friction...

16230192342_3c4cea38fb_c.jpg

  1. Those BBS-esque rims...
  2. aren't molded in one piece, but as hubcaps! Woot!
  3. The angle is pretty unflattering for the model, though.

16045153397_9d618765eb_c.jpg

  1. If this was black...BAM! Jeremy Clarkson P1 review. Can someone 'shoop that pic to make the model black?
  2. Actually, I can still spot some cutouts on the side, though I think the black part has to be a stud deeper.
  3. I want that dashboard print/sticker.

16230192302_2a406d618b_c.jpg

  1. It just struck me now: McLaren's livery plain sucked. It's just so uninspired. Hopefully it changes this year, because Honda's main colors are red and white, right? They can still do a legendary livery even without Marlboro.
  2. This is a well-constructed scene, though. Seriously.
  3. The front wings are two studs too short.
  4. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...look at dat nose. It's a good thing they haven't gotten the Lotus one yet. Oh, the jokes we'll have here on EB when it happens.

15608592634_fefc7e2341_c.jpg

  1. This pic looks like Hammond's review of the 918 in Yas Marina.
  2. Lower part of the bumper would have been nicer.
  3. there's only a 5x3 space at both sides...so cramming all those lines while keeping the silhouette and look is gonna be hard.
  4. Hopefully you can get a top on that thing. All you have to do is take the helmet off.

16044887299_07a664068d_b.jpg

  1. WHY IS SABINE SCHMITZ TAKING PICTURES AND NOT DRIVING?!With that out of the way, I guess I can just replace the heads of one of the drivers.

  2. The real 991 RSR's bumper is hella smooth. There has to be another layer of black bows under the white bows of the Manthey 991 RSR (white) model.

  3. Incredible...I thought the 911's here wouldn't look like those extra-wide RSR cars IRL. The way they shaped the sides is giving the much-need width that 911 racers naturally possess.

  4. Again, BBS rims...now worn by the correct car!

  5. I'm impressed the white Porshe's livery. This and their LMP1 car, the 919, has the most original and well-done liveries around. Much better a livery than the McLaren.

And there you have it! More pictures, more opinions... Aagh. I should have made another sub-topic, bit oh well.

The mudguards look new. The lower portions bevel in futher down, while the other style; the flare is the same width all the way around the wheel. Interesting.

Coping dat La Ferrari when it comes out.

I've been scratching my head on that part for a while now, (didn't know there was that 1x4 with turned down rod) I was trying to figure out how they used the 1x2 with turned up rod... upside down

First time I saw this part was in the fire brigade from 2009. It uses two of them on the garage door. I'm excited for these sets.

I haven't read through the whole thread, but has anybody realized that some of the cars utilize a new 2x6 plate with rounded corners? I haven't read it anywhere, so I was just wondering.

Hmmm...I seem to have seen them in the 918 and the single-seaters...but at the same time I still think they're 2x3 rounded corners.

NEW FORD GT COMING TO SPEED CHAMPIONS CONFIRMED!!!!!!11!1!!!1!!!!!11!11!!!!!!

(actually, no. Not yet. Not maybe until the first Ford GT rolls off the production lot).

Seriously, though, they're gonna have a hard time getting some design cues to work there and become something they can replicate in 6W properly. I mean, just check these out:

The 2006 Ford GT is far easier to do.

And let's not forget the fact that they're gonna race in TUSC and Le Mans next year, so expect a truck or diorama set for the race version!

from what I've seen of the new Ford GT there is no way to get the rear completely correct with the Lego fenders we currently have, there is a gap starting behind the doors that carves all the way out the middle of the rear. that said however, I think this would be a good car to attempt to build myself :classic:

Hmmm...since much of the fenders of the current models are two studs thick from the tip of the wheel arch, I guess they can make the cutouts and spaces at the rear one stud wide and use some clever angled connections with 1x3 tiles for dem buttresses, such that they can match the angle of 1x3 wing plates. The rear vent can basically be SNOT-mounted printed 1x2 wall panel. The front can be made with just 1x2 single bows. As for the windshield, a new part would suffice, one that can match midway between the lines of the Ford GT and the R35 GT-R's windshield, and then coupled with bows or curved roofing toward the back.

Frankly, this would turn out better as a Team Jamie UCS model.

I wonder if it's possible for a Pagani Huayra to appear in the Speed Champions line in the future.

Wait a mi--a Huayra! Oh, why not? Edited by XAxles

that is the best thing I've seen in Lego from in my entire life! Ok the quality wasn't stellar, but its TopGear! and Lego! and Awesome! (sorry very excited by that little video)

I've watched it twice......hands up for the three stooges as official minifigs eh ?

The Stig is too easy to make, but the guys.....well !

Great to see three of SC cars in the trailer.....hmm, what do we make of it......there have been rumours of Top Gear coming out in Lego.....have they distanced themselves from Knex ?

Could this mean that SC could cross over to be even more of a licensed theme ?

More cars perhaps......maybe at a toy fair something might pop up eh ?

Chaps...you didn't even ring me in the middle of the night here in Manila just to tell me about that clip.

Now if only Ferrari was kind enough to let Mr. Slowly review the LaFerrari... and for a special roadtrip with all three hypercars!

Also...shouldn't Hammond use the kiddie-fig legs? Or is it just for locomotion?

Oh, and the video was made by the same crew that made the Exo-Suit reveal teaser. Easy to see Hammond didn't get the call for the dubbing.

Does this also mean that we'll get an unlimited supply of Stigs?

Do you think that we might see a Summer wave of Speed Champion sets or not?

Maybe at NY toy fair perhaps........we'll see, but who knows Lego springs surprises on the world sometimes to keep us on our toes.

Well, I hope so because the theme is really, really cool.

So many different choices for Lego for this theme especially if they can get other car manufacturers on board.
