ARSLOCK Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 really really hoping this is true. will almost make up for no more LOTR... i want a moe and a smithers and comic book guy etc etc. they could easily do more simpsons CMF for years to come. im doubtful on more sets, but you can always just MOC them up, the minifigs are more important than sets IMO...
Dorayaki Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 (edited) really really hoping this is true. will almost make up for no more LOTR... Hey, don't give up hopes that easily. Do I like Simpsons? Yes. Do I expect another CMF series? UH...... nope, sorry. If this license is really popular, this should reflect on a plan of a formal wave of regular sets, not a CMF series. I believe that other licenses deserve this chance as well. Suppose that this rumor is true, even though there were many iconic characters excluded in the original series, I'm.worried about that another series would have to include some characters that aren't really iconic to this license. I assume that a wave of regular sets might be able to cover the rest of characters. The other issue would be that it could lead to a weird result: some other regular licenses get even fewer characters than Simpsons. Edited by Dorayaki, Today, 12:46 PM. ARSLOCK Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 well judging by the success of their previous action figures lines http://www.worldofspringfield.com/Check_List.html with 16 series, i think the chances are decent of simpsons #2. the episode in lego was a big success, and they are still the #1 selling item on shop @ home in the US, but prolly cos they're so cheap...
TomKraut Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 While there are enough characters in Springfield, I am pretty sure we will get new versions of the Simpson family. With 552 episodes, there are certainly enough outfits for the main characters to make a few interesting alternatives.
K-Nut Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 I'm a bit surprised they're making a second wave of these, but it shouldn't be too hard to get another series out of them. Even with four or five repeat figures, we could still get Skinner, Moe, Lenny, Carl, Smithers, Edna, Willie, Sideshow Bob, Comic Book Guy, Reverend Lovejoy, and Martin. Definitely looking forward to this!
Borex Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Great! A lot of friends who aren't into toys at all bought simpsons from the first wave. Hope they will do it again.
ZionAzure Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 I would like Lenny, carl, skinner, comic book guy, radioactive man, and DUFF MAN
BartSimpson Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 (edited) Got a favourite episode so far? I'd love to see a "Marge vs. The Monorail" set, but I think that's too specific. My favorite episode has to be when they visit itchy and scratchy land, best one in my opinion Edited August 28, 2014 by BartSimpson
BartSimpson Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 (edited) If I were to make a list of the 16 I would say: 1-Homer Church cloths 2-Lisa church cloths /with snowball 3-Marge church cloths 4-Bart in church cloths/ or Bartman with SLH 5-Lenny/with clear mug 6-Carl/ with buzz energy drink can ( since they wont make duff) 7-Moe/with mop or (shot gun ,probably not) 8-Smithers- not pad (2x2 brick since they use those a lot) 9-Sideshow Bob/with Butcher Knife or rake 10-Barney/ with clear mug 11-Comic Book Guy with radioactive man issue #1 12-Grounds Keeper Willie / shovel 13-Dr.Hibbert/newspaper related to him 14-Martin/textbook or 2x2 brick A+ 15-Principal Skinners/with detention form 16-Cleatus-pig with mud all over it (spider pig printing would be the best in the world) Now for some notable mentions - Professor Frink -Edna -Bumblebee Guy -Snake -Disco Stu -Selma -Patty -Reverend Lovejoy -Duff Man -Fat Tony -Luigi -Mayor -Jasper -Otto -Sideshow Mel -Captain Pete -and of course Squeaky Voiced Teen .so of the extras can definitely be in sets for example SVT in Krusty Burger Edited August 28, 2014 by BartSimpson
timmyc1983 Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Yeah there are so many notable characters who we're missing from the first series... I would love duff man, but I have a feeling because of duff they won't make him... Smithers, Barney and moe are the most notable absentees from the first series, they could easily get 3 series of cmf from the theme, and why wouldn't they if they sell well...?!

Or even better a line of sets , the Simpsons has so many opportunities for lego because even if you hate the Simpson the sets will fit right into a city, people are already buying he house to put in cities and mod into apartment ECT.Lego can finally make a burger restaurant, convince store , and school. The ideas are so great and the figs are amazing , while the heads may not fit, people can use them as masks or costumes in theme park, but the torsos are such unique and bright colors for infinite uses.while lego is not allowed to make a bar , Moes is a tavern , and lego already made one for PoTC ( not to mention alcoholic references in every set). They don't need to fill it with beer joust some plastic clear cups and chairs with the love tester in the corner. Lol sorry I get carried away when it comes to the Simpsons Yeah there are so many notable characters who we're missing from the first series... Btw Duff- Man would be a great fig
KCMatze Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 (edited) We have to get Bartman, Fallout Boy and Radioactive Man... We would have 3 variations of 3 famous characters. So...maybe that is realizable (EDIT: is that a word, anyways?!) ;) One can hope... Edited August 29, 2014 by KCMatze

greeklad97 Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 really really hoping this is true. will almost make up for no more LOTR... Agreed... :/
greeklad97 Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 (edited) I know many didn't care for the unique molded heads when this theme first appeared, feeling it took away the "LEGO" feel. I however really appreciated the amazing sculpted molds! That being said, the sets don't interest me us much as the mini figures, but I'm bound to pick them all up no matter what! I feel like Homer will be the Gandalf/Harry Potter/Indiana Jones of this theme! :P But whats odd about that is that we get normal Homer as a CMF, which means that they weren't really planning a second wave I believe. I noticed that the Simpsons House as well as the CMF line was constantly sold out, which obviously means good sells! That probably drove the push for a second wave! My dream CMF line would look like: 1) Homer - Church Clothes 2) Marge - Church Clothes 3) Bart - Church Clothes 4) Lisa - Church Clothes 5) Moe Szyslak – Mop 6) Lenny – Mug 7) Carl - Buzz Cola Can 8) Groundskeeper Willie - Shovel 9) Waylon Smithers - Notepad 10) Principal Skinner - Detention Form Tile 11) Professor Frink - Potion 12) Comic Book Guy - Radioactive Man #1 13) Doctor Hibbert - Newspaper Tile & Needle 14) Slideshow Bob - Rake 15) Martin prince - Homework Tile 16) Edna krabappel - Report Card F Tile Honorable Mentions (In Order): Barney Gumble Slideshow Mel Reverend Lovejoy Cletus Mayor Quimby Otto Bumblebee Man Radioactive man Duff Man Snake Kent Brockman Fat tony Patty Selma Jimbo Jones Jasper Beardly Hans Moleman Old Gil Gunderson I hope the new sets look like these cool mocs on google Very nice mocs indeed! BrickG Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 I want moar! I bit the bullet and bought all 16 of the series (already had the house). Found a place where they were barely over retail. Now I want more. It's funny because like many people I think The Simpsons has sucked for like 14 years now :P. I'm into these purely on nostalgia of the days when it didn't suck.
Cy_Bored1337 Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 everyone says that the problem with not having sets is because we would get the same minifigure. What if the characters had different expresions?

Um not to be rude but you basically copied my characther/acessory ideas. Just be more original next time everyone says that the problem with not having sets is because we would get the same minifigure. What if the characters had different expresions? They did that for spongebob didn't they
Cy_Bored1337 Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 (edited) Yeah but i ment different eye expressions Edited August 29, 2014 by Cy_Bored1337
BartSimpson Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 Yeah but i ment different eye expressions Yeah, in the spongebob line we mainly got the same people / molds and they just switched the expressions
KCMatze Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 (edited) Especially because they can use the Bart, Homer , and Milhouse molds That's exactly what I was talking about Edited August 29, 2014 by KCMatze
SMC Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 I really hope we dont get the whole family again, just Homer and Bart will do. I dont think we will get any sets but I am ok with that.
greeklad97 Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 Um not to be rude but you basically copied my characther/acessory ideas. Robert8 Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 I don't think they will include Reverend Lovejoy, TLG avoids religion topics
