legofanatic12 Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 (edited) It's only Snake Jailbird is the new Simpsons minifigure in this set, but the rest are just from the previous wave except for Apu and Wiggum which they got a new torso parts. And supposed to feature Manjula and Jimbo, but they did not confirm in the final set just like Moe. How they include this guy in the fridge in this set? Edited March 12, 2015 by legofanatic12
Cammo Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 (edited) Here it is, the 2nd The Simpsons CMF series: (I'm loving the slingshot though) Better pictures of the Kwik-E-Mart: Edited March 12, 2015 by Cammo
Captain Nemo Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Oh that set looks amazing! But I still have to get the last one! There's so many great details, especially food products. And I absolutely adore printed tile pieces such as news papers and comic books (especially) so I'm just freaking out right now! I will say though that it doesn't seem like a $200 set. It seems much smaller than the Simpson's house. I also dislike the blue tinted windows rather than trans-clear ones; they look too much like the freezer doors in blue. Eeeek! Those the new CMF line is amazing---hopefully I can somehow win a set for free again like the last wave!
TheBrickHitHouse Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Oh! Wonderful! It's perfect! The details make it worthy of one of those magnificent Creator town sets. Going to have one hell of a lot of stickers, probably a new record! Love the second wave of collectible figures - Smithers with the new Malibu Stacey is a genius move
Balbo Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 (edited) Finally some pictures of the new CMF line - they all look amazing! I can't wait getting them Furthermore I love the fact that Bart has a molded slingshot - I can't wait to give one Ori. Edited March 12, 2015 by Balbo
8BrickMario Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 (edited) I really wanted to hate the new figs, but I can't. They're very well designed, and I really have to get that slingshot and Squishee cup (such impressive plastic combinations on the latter). I'm pleased that there are new accessories this time around, instead of just heads. Snowball II looks cool. I like the pink coffee mug, the blue handbag, and the green short cape. Looks like I'll get a few... Kwik-E-Mart looks to be nothing short of a very impressive set. I love the details (looks like someone got stuck in the freezer!) and the figs look good, too. just2good Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Series 2 is so good! It's odd that the only set with Bart's correct shirt color is this series...
tafkatb Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Going to have one hell of a lot of stickers, probably a new record! There are a lot of stickers, but nowhere near a new record - there are also something like thirteen new prints, not counting minifigs.
8BrickMario Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Well, the color's sorta yellow-orange. That Squishee cup is blowing my mind. How do they do it? I'm also liking the tiles. The Malibu Stacy box, chocolate box, eye chart, and purse are all really nice.
The Executive Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 This is great. I still need to buy the simpsons house though. But totally awesome and frostilicus. I hope they make the nuclear power plant after the comic book store. I so hope they make that.
The Kid Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Interesting that the press release refers to Snake as 'exclusive for Fall 2015'. So we can expect to see him again next year, reusing the mold... Series 3?
skelliesgang Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Love series 2 but why is Marge still barefoot (and it seems Patty and Selma are also lacking shoes)? You'd think after a year Lego would rectify this. How hard is it to put some printing on the feet like the CMF Spartan?
8BrickMario Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 I'm questioning whether or not I should consider the Kwik-E-Mart. On the one hand, it's really detailed, and I could get a black robber's bag, purple Squishee, and milk cartons up the wazoo, but on the other hand, the build looks really repetitive/time-consuming with the fridge cabinets, and it's a less interesting structure than the House. The play value's not great either, amounting to posing people at the shelves and counter and putting the figs in the police car.
EdWebhead Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 This is a great series! However I was kinda wishing of this for Maggie.
Dorayaki Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 (edited) I must say this set is what almost everyone would like to see. It wins over most of the MOCs I've seen so far. The major shame is despite an exclusive character is included, sadly we couldn't see more recurring customers beside the Simpsons whose original versions were already in CMF series 1. If one of Sherri and Terri is in CMF series, the other one could fit better in the store set. Coming to CMF series, I truly like the formal dresses for the Simpsons, sadly it couldn't catch up for White Valentine. Maggie's same print is just too lazy in this case. Kez Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 (edited) Awesome! Thanks for the links guys, I'm in love with this set, looks like a day one purchase, it's just a shame that I can't fund the Helicarrier set (unless someone is willing to donate one to me ). Edited March 12, 2015 by Kez
Risgrynsgrot Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 I can't believe we're getting a Duff Beer Can. LEGO pushing their own boundaries?
Fairsy Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Who needs the Kwik-E-Mart.......I doooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Kez Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Haha just noticed the CMF too, I can't wait to get my hands on these. I love the frozen jasper on the fridge too, this is a detail that I predicted when we first heard the rumours.
incognito Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 I can't believe we're getting a Duff Beer Can. LEGO pushing their own boundaries? I can only see Buzz Cola cans. Where is the Duff Beer can?
