8BrickMario Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 Their other toy lines for figures last for TONS of series, so many characters we don't have yet.... Moe, Lenny, Carl, Skinner, Sideshow Bob/Mel, The 3 Bullies, Duffman, Eleanor Abernathy (Crazy Cat Lady), Lou/Eddie, Jasper, Marge's Mom, Bumble bee man, Apu's wife/kids, Otto, Dr Nick, Sea Captain etc etc But some of those characters are more obscure. I don't think LEGO would try to make all of those characters because they're less essential and less likely to sell.
SMC Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 ^ There is enough for one more at lest if we get the family yet again then I think the others could all be well known.
Robert8 Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 If it continues, it's got to be Moe's Tavern. Size, associated characters, importance to the show, little references to episodes - it's perfect! Come on Lego, it's time to relax the rules a little bit! Even Mr Burns Manor has more chances to be released than Moe's Tavern. and then Disney Minifigures come out May 2016. I thought you were kidding about that
8BrickMario Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 I can't believe in a Disney CMF series. There isn't even a broad Disney theme for it to go with. Unfortunately, almost all LEGO rumors are true, especially if reported by J2G... Whatever happened to a whole year of normal, assorted series? Now we're down to one a year.
skelliesgang Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 I'll be lucky to find them loose at retail, since my TRU puts the CMFsn DVD cases to prevent cheapskates from opening them without buying. Unfortunately, it also prevents feeling the bags, so I'll go to a LEGO store to buy them. WTF. My TRU displays the CMF cases at the customer service desk to prevent the five finger discounters.
8BrickMario Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 Yep. Ever since S12. S13 eventually got boxed up, too. They're putting three or so in the cases, though.

Unfortunately, almost all LEGO rumors are true, especially if reported by J2G... Don't mention it, no Targets will sell jack to me. Actually, from what I've heard, it's been the same with everyone... except a select few on eBay. I'll have some by Wednesday though, don't worry. I'm a man of my word, just took the eBay route. Smithers should have been in Series 1!
8BrickMario Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 (edited) The pets looks excellent. Or should I say... Excellent.... Edited April 21, 2015 by 8BrickMario
Robert8 Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Finally a closer view of the minifigures! Martin headpiece looks ugly. I didn't know Marge has earings! Looks pretty cool! And Willy's torso lacking backprinting is just lazy
just2good Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 I didn't know Marge has earings! Looks pretty cool! An odd but nice addition- odd because all the other minifigures with earrings have them moulded, so it's weird to have one printed. I know it's so they won't have to make a new mould for Marge, but it just is a little inconsistent.

If they produce a new headpiece for Marge, I hope it will be teenage Marge I wonder if we'll get a Ned Flanders variation, like Milhouse

eldiano Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 The simpsons are the like the Friends' equivalent in playbality which is scary. Assembling the Kwik E Mart made me stop and play with the racks, cofee and pretty much everything in between.
skelliesgang Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Right after watching just2good's video I could almost imagine Nelson pointing and taunting, "HA-ha!" Shame about the distribution of your packs.
LegoThomas Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 I got the Simpsons house at TRU (germany). Same with the Kwik-E-Mart?
Swampthing Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 I found 2 random Series 2 CMF packets at Target last night, when I went to ring up the cashier got a message saying they can't sell until 5/1 so she took them away...so close...

TheOneVeyronian Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 (edited) I can't believe that all these stores in the US are putting the CMF's out on the shop floor only for people to be told that they can't be sold - what's the point of even putting them out? That's like dangling a carrot in front of a donkey and pulling it out of reach just as it was taking a bite... Same with putting the CMF's in CD cases, seems a little overkill to me, but I've seen it for myself in at least one case with some S11 figures, so that practice is not exclusive to the US... That said, I haven't seen any sign of them in the UK yet, not even in WHSmith (UK chain newsagent) which normally sells the CMF's before their street date. But I'm waiting until I'm next going to a LEGO Store anyway. EDIT: Apparently they've been spotted in Toymaster in the UK - shame I live nowhere near one Edited April 22, 2015 by TheOneVeyronian
MicroJow Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 It happened again at a second Target this morning - there was a fresh box out in the Lego aisle and when I took them to the register, they were alerted not to sell them. I asked for a manager, explained the situation, and the manager told me she couldn't sell them because if they break the street date they will get fined. However, she gave me a couple "$3 off your next purchase" coupons in apology and then proceeded to cover the box with post-it stickers reading "DO NOT PUT OUT UNTIL MAY 1st." Then she told me to take a picture of the bar code, come back in on May 1st, show them the bar code, they will scan it, and chances are the box will still be in the stock room waiting for me. So that was nice. - MJ
Robert8 Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 If anything, it'd be ski Flanders, and I bet they'd do it without a new headpiece. Or Grampa in his sunday best.... those 2 are the only ones I see getting a second CMF version
Blondie-Wan Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 I think I could see this theme lasting longer than many people who do not believe that it will. Heck, it already has - aren't there plenty of people who thought last year's stuff would be it? (For that matter, there are plenty of us - including myself, I have to admit - who thought this theme would never happen in the first place, so...)
alohamitsu Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Does anyone have any ways that they put the stickers on? I usually start from the top right of the sticker than slowly work my way across, ensure that it is in a straight line on the top before I finish putting the sticker on. There is so many stickers in this set but I am having so much fun building it regardless!

I find the best way to put stickers on so that they are straight, free from dust and don't peel is to rant about stickers whilst applying them. At least that's what I do.

There is so many stickers in this set but I am having so much fun building it regardless! I use a pair of scissors with small, sharp blades. I then cut around each sticker and when I'm ready to apply the sticker I remove a part of the backing and place it onto the piece from a corner, this is to avoid any finger prints on the underside of them; this also improves the accuracy and look of the sticker imo. On a side note, it shouldn't be long until I get paid then I can finally purchase the whole lot of this Simpsons wave, I can't wait!
