December 17, 201410 yr German Brick and Pieces says no orders possible until the end of January. So guys, we'll have to wait before we can order new parts. I've just seen it.... :cry_sad: :cry_sad: :cry_sad: :cry_sad: :cry_sad: :cry_sad: How can I wait till the end of january????
December 17, 201410 yr Btw, can someone confirm if similar Bricks and Pieces closure existed year ago? I'm afraid they are closing it to bring some changes or updates.
December 17, 201410 yr Btw, can someone confirm if similar Bricks and Pieces closure existed year ago? I'm afraid they are closing it to bring some changes or updates. Yes, they always close it down for several weeks during the holidays... Since everyone is having trouble getting the parts and I got several messages and emails about people needing them, I threw some of my new parts into my wife's bricklink store... These are in a very limited supply though as it turns out that I only got 1/2 of what I originally ordered... I also ended up ordering a few of the yellow panels even though I didn't originally plan on it... Hope this helps...
December 17, 201410 yr 3 euro for those yellow panels? Damn, I'll wait till they come down in price then. Not sure how useful they'd be anyway.
December 18, 201410 yr I would gladly pay $250+ for a 1:8 scale W05. Mercedes have a lot to be proud of with their Formula 1 team and I cannot think of a better way to celebrate the WDC and WCC wins than a giant LEGO model. I can imagine the box and everything...

I can imagine the box and everything... $250 is a lot for an F1 car, even for a 1:8. Weren't the Williams F1, 248F1 and the SC around $140? I would gladly pay $250 for a 1:8 Laferrari or a 918 though... Edited December 18, 201410 yr by AssembleToDissasemble
December 18, 201410 yr Shame we don't have a BMW license, cause I would buy an 1:8 i8 in a heartbeat. Same goes for the F70 (LaFerrari), but not the 918, which I think does not look as good. But according to the rumor, it's a Mercedes truck, which means we're not getting another racing vehicle. (thankfully. all of the racing sets for this year look like they came out of the reject bin, or are the b models for something cooler, save 42034.) I did a quick google search, and it turns out that Mercedes has an Axor Formula truck. Maybe we could get something like that, in silver, and have the B model be a Mercedes F1 car, kind of like 42000 in reverse. But, if that were the flagship, it better be a fast RC set with new, bigger motors, and a new radio control system , or insanely detailed, with a working, replicated sequential manual transmission. Personally, I want a silver, or black G63 AMG 6x6 with new wheels, that look correct, a proper gearbox, and six wheel drive. Wait, if that happened, wouldn't it be the first 6x6 Lego set, ever?
December 18, 201410 yr Off topic but once I acquire enough parts my ultimate goal is to build a 1:10 E92 M3. I love bimmers ^

December 19, 201410 yr I'm surprised to find that the 42028 Arctic Truck was designed by Aurelien Rouffiange; seems designers at LEGO go from designing small models to absolutely massive ones! The same with Lars Thygesen going from his tiny off-roaders to the massive 42029! Which is no bad thing...
December 20, 201410 yr i've a feeling that the designers are doing all sorts of things from tiny to huge - but only some are picked for production, giving the impression of big steps.

December 21, 201410 yr Finally got around to doing the other pullback (the quad), it's ok. I really like the record breaker better. More than anything it inspires me to want to make a better quad.
December 22, 201410 yr We're getting a $230 USD Mercedes Technic set in Summer 2015. No other info at this time.
December 22, 201410 yr Yesyesyesyesyesyes!!!!!!! Oh, and if it won't be fully motorized, it will be contain (i think) at least 3000 pieces, or a lot of pneumatic. We're getting a $230 USD Mercedes Technic set in Summer 2015. No other info at this time. Do you know when can we see some pictures?

December 23, 201410 yr 3000 pieces for $230? Are you hoping for a big box of nothing but pins? I don't. I feel as if some flagships could deal with a lot fewer pins. I want a lot of pneumatic. Even if the part count does not exceed 42009, it's going to be a very large set.

I didn't think too much of the quad until today when I discovered a TV show all about quads. It is actually pretty close (in form) to a Honda Fourtrax or 500. Not sure what the name was. (I still like the Record Breaker better. :) Edited December 23, 201410 yr by m0dulo
