MrTekneex Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Thank you so much Paul for these precious info. August now seems even further away ... Quote
Conchas Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 If I can get any conclusion from the very blurred images that I saw, I would say the MB also has new pneumatic cylinders and... longer ones!!! Now we have some very happy Technic fans! But remember these can always be an illusion or something that changes until we get to see the final artworks... Quote
jorgeopesi Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Large cylinders I will have to redo all my machinery MOCs with them, I can´t wait Quote
Saberwing40k Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Pictures. Pictures Pictures. PICTURES. Can someone post links to the pictures, cause that's allowed, right? We just can't post extreme preliminary pictures, but links are fine, right? If we are getting longer cylinders, and lots of pneumatics, I'm skipping 42030, and going right for this. Quote
Rishab N Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Ahhh This sounds so awesome. Can't wait for the first public pics to surface. Quote
jantjeuh Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Inventories for the 1H Technic sets are now all up at Rebrickable, for those wanting to build them using their collection. Quote
falconluan Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Inventories for the 1H Technic sets are now all up at Rebrickable, for those wanting to build them using their collection. Great news! I have been checking for them several times a day Many thanks for Paul's info, and I think it is this one in black and white: Quote
Conchas Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 And lower tipper. And crane is based on little different design. Quote
falconluan Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 And lower tipper. And crane is based on little different design. So, it's more like this with a red crane Quote
Anio Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Brace yourself. The MB truck apparently has a couple of longer pneumatic cylinders. Quote
maras Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 I hope lego design a small compact Pneumatic autovalve! Quote
jantjeuh Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Brace yourself. The MB truck apparently has a couple of longer pneumatic cylinders. Source? I was told that they're the same old cylinders. Would be (very) glad to be proven wrong. Quote
Saberwing40k Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 If there are pics, or any other information right now, would someone please post the link to it? Stop tormenting the rest of us!! Also, I hope we see the 2H models at the Nuremberg toy fair. Quote
Richard L aka Scooby Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Please...can some one put a link on here...... Quote
GoldVillage Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 (edited) I highly doubt that it is RC... There is only one motor being shown... This set is more in the style of the 8258 or 8110... Hopefully it has suspension... RC is still possible, one motor could handle everything, and if the model is pneumatic - it would make sense to only use one since it just have to drive a gearbox and a compressor. Or the motor only driving a compressor system, thats fine too ;) Edited January 2, 2015 by GoldVillage Quote
Anio Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 The model is not RC. 1 L motor. With gear box, you can switch between : - mechanical function(s) (tipper, and maybe rotating turntable like 8110 ; I'd prefer it is manual though) - pneumatic functions (arm) Quote
davidmull Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Longer cylinders would be a dream come through :) were years looking for this. Anio is the tipper not pneumatic ? Where's allanp lol Quote
Freekysch Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Another truck like 8258 ? That is wonderful . But one question tho, i am looking at 8110s crane and it looks much bigger then 8258 crane, so if the Mercs crane has pneumatics too (like 8110) will it fit ok at the scale of 8258 ? Quote

It's going to have to be a more compact foldable crane like 8258 i would imagine. Quote
andythenorth Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 The crane from 8436 is pneumatic and works fine at the right size for a truck with 62.4 tyres ;) http://brickset.com/sets/8436-1/Truck Quote
MrNumbskull13 Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Any sign of a fake engine in the truck? Quote
Anio Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Anio is the tipper not pneumatic ? I don't know. It maybe be executed with LA. But not so sure TLG will combine pneumatics and LA on the same model (remember 42008 :-S) It may use the new long pneumatic cylinder, or some liftarm (with worm gear etc). As far I can see, the telescopic section on the arm is done with the long cylinders. As for the outriggers, there are 2 of them. Located just behind the 2nd axle. Horizontal movement is made with rack (motorized, maybe). Vertical movement is made with worm gear + 8t. Not a clue regarding fake engine. The model seems to have full suspension on every axle. This may joepardize the design of a fake engine given that suspension + transmission take a lot of room. Quote
