Hmm. Taking apart models CAN take forever, especially the huge 1000+ part models.

Well, I disassembled Sheepo's Mustang recently. It took approximately 4h of pure disassembly. Then another few hours sorting all the stuff back into my storage.

J2G, thanks for posting. Lots of good details.

Does the 42039 look really odd in the front? Looks like a gaping mouth to me :cry_sad:

However, 42038 looks great to me, a nice accompaniment to the City Arctic theme, whether intentional or not. The 42032 Tracked Loader and the 42035 Mining truck could be the stars of 1H2015 release.

What is up in that video with the 42041..? Are they bringing the Race Truck back again..?

42039... Sooooo many panels

Looks ok from top view on box but a bit odd otherwise.

This set looked so good from the prelim pics and has completely changed 180 degress...

From my understanding, the limited release Race Truck is getting a wide re-release.

What the heck happened to 42039. it went from promising to eh. I can see some yllow in the chassiswhich I'm assuming are shock absorbers?. The 42038 still looks good, but why the rerelease of 8041/ it was already a bad set

No rocket car..? Or wasn't that pic available..?

I do not like the way this flows at all... The prototype looked so good...

I wonder why..? Lego clearanced out the 8041 for $34.99 USD... Great set for parts...

To my knowledge, this part hasn't existed in green before... 42003.jpg

Isn't it something how they'll make a part in a new color, but won't bring an existing color back..? For example the front of the 42029 should have had #3 connectors in red in it instead of LBG...

42039 looks like a mix of two Le Mans cars: it looks like half-Toyota TS040 Hybrid (Front) and half-Bentley Speed 8 (rear).

Makes you wonder why they would make a poster of one model, but release a completely different one...

Any enhanced version of that? Edited by XAxles

They totaly blew it with the 43039! So much uglier than the preliminary model! At least the front part is totaly messed up. I feel so disapointed :-(

Look at this:

2014-toyota-ts040-hybrid-lmp1-profile.jpg

and then this:

LOGO_BentleySpeed8LMS_2003_Side.jpg

squint your eyes when you look at both of them, then look at the picture of 42039.

If you see it, let me know.

For me, 42039 represents what kind of Le Mans rules I want.

I love new 42039 (really).

So do I/

Let those who diss it diss it; that's none of my business.

Woah... What happened here..?

Porsche 919/Toyota TS040 met Bentley Speed 8. Is that enough?

NOOO, why did they do this to 42039?! I was so beautiful, and now this ugly duckling :sceptic: And no more flat silver panels as well. And what's the point of flat fender instead of rounded. There are so many "NO" about this changes. Disapointed

42038 looks quite nice. And really like the color scheme for 42037 and 42036.

Another reason to be a garbage collector in the same neighborhood as the lego HQ

You don't need to buy pieces when you can get them for free!

Let me know. I need a job.
