Why do people think the single piston block will be chain driven? There's not even any reason for there to be a piston at all... If I were to guess, the block just represents the engine.

I doubt they would have bothered to include a chain on it if it was not going to move something... Plus you can see a tan bevel gear on the rear axle, so the drive shaft must be going to move something...

I don't think Lego would include a cylinder block in one of their Technic models just for show...

It is quite obvious there is a chain behind the front grill...

Uh why does the dump truck have a 1 cylinder engine beside the cab?

Cost cutting....now where have I heard that excuse before?

Those panels do look cool. You got plans for them?

Yeb,I have plenty of uses for those.

It will be a good year for panel lovers....

Yikes ,,, the 42039 has instantly gone from display model to parts pack ....

Also, it seems there is less and less of Power Functions. Are the motors being phased out?

Yeah, I don't think Lego wants cylinder blocks for show ever (nor do I). Only set I remember where the cylinders were used as "decoration" in a Lego set, was in 8414's B-Model. I can't think of a single main model where it was just there for show.

I know the new Agents sets won't be of much interest to anyone here, but it almost looks like there is a pin bushing in one of the sets, like that one that appeared in 1995 for one year then mysteriously disappeared. You can see it on the Helicopter's crank at about 1.17 in the video:

(Also, I dunno how to embed videos  )

I think I know what he's talking about... At the 59-second mark of this video, and on the side of the helo, there's what is issentially a DBG 1L liftarm. On the helo it's on the trans-clear blue wheel next to the cockpit canopy, and in the video it's pinned to a white liftarm on the left side of the garage.

Yes, that's it. Thanks!

Well, that's a pretty useless part  Probably only useful for cranks or something like that.

I sometimes use it to fill a 1 stud gap and the double pin with bush cannot be used... otherwise yeah - cranks
