Argh, so it is a truck again, not 6x6 G-class :sceptic:

It makes all the sense! So we get a companion for this year's Volvo and gives a push on sales.

Hopefully they will have similar scales.

Looking at the size of MB truck, I doubt it will have unimog tires - looks more like it would be in scale of 42009, with same tires.

I hope for something like this, in this color scheme, working suspension (?), no yellow, no red, no black again, please...

A tipper truck would be also great, but maybe just too few functions are available for a flagship model.

It probably (most likely) will have the same tires as 42009, but that doesn't mean it will be in that scale.. in fact, those tires on a truck like this, will more likely be of a somewhat comparable scale to the 42030.

If the set numbers and -names are now considered as confirmed information, I hope the truck will indeed be a four-axle one, hopefully with some interesting stuff on the back. I highly doubt it will be an RC model, and I also doubt it will feature suspension. But looking at the sets from the past couple of years, I think it will ship with PF, and I think it will feature four powered functions, selectable via a gear box (similar to 8258).

On a side note; I really don't like the front of the new Arocs trucks, I much more like the Actros style (is that an older model pehaps?).

As for the fire plane, I hope it will be somewhat similar to the Grumman Albatross, or something like that :thumbup: Love that plane, would like to buy one and travel the world with it :grin:

The type 3245 says 32 tons of maximum vehicle weight. This is in real life a 4 axle truck. So the lego one has to be a 4 axle too. And to the scale of 42030, it is definetly different to a 3245 with 62,4x20 tires.

Actros is a truck mainly for road, arocs is mainly for construction and similar.

Like effe said, 3245 is 32 tons of maximum vehicle weight and 45 is for 450 BHP.

@D3K

Actros is actually more of an motorway truck for covering the long distances, when the Arocs is construction site truck or many diferent heavy-duty vehicle ...

Please let it be pneumatic with some new pneumatic parts,auto valves and longer cylinders :) dream come through. I'm thinking something in the line of 8258 but bigger with pneumatics.

Maybe I'm not far off so :) hope it will have pneumatics.

We'll see in a month and a half, probably. Have to say I also wouldn't mind seeing pneumatics making (another) comeback in one form or the other. The lack of technical complexity in recent Technic sets is a bit disheartening. It seems like we hit a peak in 2010 with 8043, since then the sets have only become more and more simplistic, seemingly. I blame RC, but hey, it sells. Yet after all, we still have MOCs (thank god).

Not very likely as the green one is still available on S@H.

I just really wish the truck at least has suspension! Because as I've seen on youtube this is more of a working and less highway truck.

You red my mind, if you ask me there could be just one driven axle, but new suspension parts are just what we need since there are so many great truck bulders who need only propper suspension to reach perfection with their MOCs (and I can use them for my MOCs; some ammount pf selfishness is in all of us)

Hope this will be true irw introduction of new parts and re-releases of a crane or a truck....

MB Arocs = large size LA or pneumatics

Crane = XL size turntable

That would make sense. Probably not to bet on it...... ;-)

well the colour scheme certainly matches the new bright green parts/panels from the 24 hour race car. TLG dont just introduce new colors/parts willy nilly without having a bigger plan for these colors down the line, to be used in other sets etc.

Two main sets with same colour doesnt seem possible.

Just got back from my local TRU! They also had the 42031 and 42035 available, but since I just spent $1,500 on a new camera lens, this was all I could get at the moment 800x600.jpg

Happy building :) Can't wait to get my hands on one mid Janurary. I don't think I'll get any other 1H2015 set, I might stock up on 2 of the 42038 kits. Nothing else really appeals to me. I'm sure 2H15 will be more exciting!

Does anyone have grinding gears in the arctic vehicle gearbox? It seems to be the large tan gear on the tan pin, but I don't see what is causing it. (Besides the fact that the spacing of the beams next to each other in the gearbox is very tight)
