The body seems to be more in size with 8043 (apart from the big boom), although it looks like it has a few more track links on each track. The cab however looks smaller when compared to the rest of the model, which suggests to me that the real thing is in fact a lot bigger than the average excavator size in the real world. At the minute we can only see what appears to be 1 L motor (although there is plenty of blank space for other stuff on the orange part of the box), which could mean a gearbox to switch between a few functions. Nobody knows what other functions they will add to that blank orange part of the box. Brickset have just the 3 models listed for 2015 2H, if that is anything to go by.

Sariel did this in one of his cranes. Tedious if a manually cranked feature, only needs one axle going through the turntable. Might be bad on carpet (tracks don't like sideways motion, drags them off the rollers). Motorised winch seems obvious, manual winches are boring. Motorised slew is a bit less common afaict in technic cranes. And eh, you could have someone's eye out with a rotating boom... Motorised boom up / down? Edited January 20, 201510 yr by andythenorth

The only other things I can think of would be a pipe layer, a bulldozer looking thing with a boom on one side, like so: The only other thing I can think of is a bucket wheel excavator, using the pieces from the grab as buckets. Some nice suggestions there. A bucket wheel excavator could be an option, although there wouldn't be much modification needed between the 2 models. The b model could be absolutely anything with tracks. Looking back at the b model for 42006, did anyone predict that it was going to be a tracked tractor with a fork on the front and a plough / ripper on the back? With 42043 being the flagship for 2015 2H, I'd say we can probably assume that the crawler crane will only have a few functions motorised, but which ones? My guess would be the lifting of the grab and the up and down of the boom. That top pulley for the up and down of the boom doesn't appear to have any motor or gears attached, but the winch for lifting the boom could be below that in the body of the crane.
January 20, 201510 yr The first association I have with a "fire plane" is the Canadair CL 215 or CL-415. This aircraft has been on my MOC list for a while, so I hope TLG has done a lot of the work for me . Not the prettiest of planes, but I like its though and rugged looks.
January 20, 201510 yr Looks a bit like the last helicopter ... and that white one looks like the last plane It's probably going to be a sub 300 piece 15cm mini model

January 20, 201510 yr Info from brickset, arocs have 2700 pieces. Mobile crane is 110£ and boom is about 1 (!) meter long!seaplane is white and red.
January 20, 201510 yr As HUW from Brickset stated: Truck is the flagship 170 pounds, 2700 pieces. Motor, 4 pneu, pneu pump, tipping back, grab arm, new scoop pieces. Cab is white. Merc logo printed on 2x2 boat stud. So ... we will get biggest (by pieces) Technic set ever ... can't wait ... . Edited January 20, 201510 yr by AndroTech
January 20, 201510 yr And he reports a new panel/"boom piece" sorta thing on the crane arm. Looks very specialized (that's the cool version of <insert that tiresome argument>, btw) Hey, pretty crappy that EB won't allow that word ; juni0rized Are there any Jack Stone reviews here?
January 20, 201510 yr Well, they used trick. Boom is very long, so, if shown in full size, details would not be well visible, so they put one (or two) lattice sections out and picture the crane lifting that segment. Boom looks like it has 5-6x15L sections which is around 60-70 centimeters, but they are showing picture with height marked together with crane, which would make it close to 1 meter.
January 20, 201510 yr Mercedes logo is printed on a boatstud, great for 8110 owners! First boatstud print? Man, I'm gonna get loads of that truck and flog the useless parts of BL Free pneumatics + profit = ca-ching!! On 1/20/2015 at 7:53 PM, Cwetqo said: Well, they used trick. I don't there's six 15L liftarms? 5 max. But with the extra lattice part on the hook shown on the box + crane body, yeah it *might* be one meter, but that's a rather poor way of measuring it and wouldn't fly in the real world at all

January 20, 201510 yr Somebody said something about a new panel on the crane boom, is that maybe the end piece of the Arocs arm, or are they referring to the crawler crane? If that's the case, then the crawler crane in the preliminary image is very unfinished. I hope we do get a better lattice.
