aminnich Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Do you think that the crawler crane is going to be anything like 8288? If so, what do you think? Quote
Conor Hyland Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Info from brickset, arocs have 2700 pieces. Excellent, it will hold the new record for parts count for the technic theme so, beating 42009's 2606 part count. Quote
aminnich Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Did anyone see the new pieces on brickset? 5003163: Technic Studless Beams 5003164: Technic Angle Beams 5003165: Technic Beams with Snaps 5003166: Technic Crossblocks Quote
1974 Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 (edited) Somebody said something about a new panel on the crane boom, is that maybe the end piece of the Arocs arm, or are they referring to the crawler crane? If that's the case, then the crawler crane in the preliminary image is very unfinished. I hope we do get a better lattice. No, it's clearly visible on the last section of the truck's crane arm (red piece), but if it's just one panel, similar to this : Or made out of several new panels/liftarm type of thing, is unclear I think the crawler crane's lattice boom is going to be just like what we see on that pic 2700 pieces sounds great :) = 1207 pins, 642 axles, 48 panels and .. you know the drill Did anyone see the new pieces on brickset? 5003163: Technic Studless Beams 5003164: Technic Angle Beams 5003165: Technic Beams with Snaps 5003166: Technic Crossblocks Well, nothing to see, just something to read Edited January 20, 2015 by 1974 Quote

It seems to be a new sliding panel on the last section of the red part of the Arocs arm, the part in which the extendable section slides on. I'm guessing it could be a new panel on each side joined to make that slider section, just thinking of it from an injection mould point of view. Can't see any recognisable new parts on the end of the crawler crane boom. Quote
OG_technic Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 (edited) As HUW from Brickset stated: Truck is the flagship 170 pounds, 2700 pieces. Motor, 4 pneu, pneu pump, tipping back, grab arm, new scoop pieces. Cab is white. Merc logo printed on 2x2 boat stud. So ... we will get biggest (by pieces) Technic set ever ... can't wait ... . This will be a day one hour one buy for me. This is my chance to make up for missing out on so many great sets. When do 2H sets go on sale usually? Mid spring? OG_technic Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Usually 2H sets are released in August each year. Damn it. All we have till then is that ugly green LeMans car? Quote
allanp Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 (edited) Usually around August. Edit: Too late! Edited January 20, 2015 by allanp Quote
allanp Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 (edited) I can't see any of these reports on brickset or anything about technic in the toy fair report. I assume all the interesting stuff has been reported here already, right? Edited January 20, 2015 by allanp Quote
1974 Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Yes, I've done that, just for you Info is from here : http://www.bricksetforum.com/discussion/18363/london-toy-fair-2015/p1 Quote
Conor Hyland Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Damn it. All we have till then is that ugly green LeMans car? I hear you OG_technic! I have to agree with you on that one! None of the 2015 1H sets stand out for me either. I'll get them all anyway as they are technic sets and they have lots of parts in new colours. Will I get 1 of 42043? No, I'll get a few of them! Anyone buying 42043 for parts, but aren't pneumatic fans - can I buy the long pneumatic cylinders off you please? Quote
aminnich Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 how much do you want the cylinders for? Quote

Just a thought: Could it be possible that this new sliding panel is also part of the chassis to support the outriggers in this truck? Quote
Blakbird Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 My dream for the fire plane would be a Martin Mars. These are based out of Vancouver and I see them occasionally. Quote
1974 Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Then they'd need to be inside the truck body. And it's not likely TLG are gonna do them in black (no red parts sticking out that I can see), so I guess the outriggers will be very conventional (and I very much dislike that hand operation of the final stage of the outriggers) Quote
Conor Hyland Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 how much do you want the cylinders for? I'll give you fair prices for them. Whatever they are worth new on bricklink I'll give. Quote
aminnich Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 well if I do buy the set, they will be for sale, because I will convert everything to LAs Quote

Can't wait for the toyfair pics, I flipped a bunch from C-net hoping for atleast a general shot of the Lego booth but I saw none . Quote
Conor Hyland Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 I will sell them to you for 130 Euros each or change both of them for a new set. I can see these long cylinders fetching a reasonable price on bricklink, but not that much! Quote
1974 Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 well if I do buy the set, they will be for sale, because I will convert everything to LAs And why would you do that? LAs don't have the stroke anyway I guess they intially will hit the 30-40EUR mark Quote
