HJR-Holland Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 (edited) Since 2004 I've been making custom minifigs, and have recently (re)made pictures of them. I have 250+ unique characters, so allow me to place them here in batches in the next couple of months Great help in making these minifigs are two source: - The book "Star Wars: The Ultimate Action Figure Collection" by Steve Sansweet - The website jedibusiness.com which also contains prototypes, and also shows the accessories that come with the figures. So here's the first batch: Such as easy custom; still don't understand why everyone yells for an 'official' minifig... not my own design, but lovely! Notice the tear in her right eye? Long live Arealight customs! Robby! The first robot with a conscience in US cinema :-) Don't worry, I also made his army ;-) Yup, it's Han's clothes, just as in the movie! Great decals from Kaminoan; 8 years old and still no colour loss More to come, watch this space :-) Edited August 28, 2014 by HJR-Holland Quote
AwesomeBantha Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Great customs, HJR! Are some torsos custom printed (other than the AL one)? Quote
Yzalirk Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Nice minifigs but should this be in the Minifig Customization Workshop since not all of the are Star Wars, like Wall-e? Quote
AndyRiley8 Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 some very nice figs in there! Who's head have you used for Wuher? Quote
HJR-Holland Posted August 28, 2014 Author Posted August 28, 2014 (edited) Nice minifigs but should this be in the Minifig Customization Workshop since not all of the are Star Wars, like Wall-e? Of the 250+ minifigs, roughly 5 are non-Star Wars :-) Besides, :-) Edited August 28, 2014 by HJR-Holland Quote
GallardoLU Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Great customs, HJR! Are some torsos custom printed (other than the AL one)? there are 3 Arealight ones I recognize Ayy Vida, Shae Vizla and Maris Brood. Quote
HJR-Holland Posted August 28, 2014 Author Posted August 28, 2014 Thanks for the feedback people! Here's batch II: Quote
Borex Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 The icecreammachine guy and 8d8 are my favorites Quote
Phoib Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Garindan looks cool! You make some of these yourself? Quote
Venkefedo Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 Gotta make myself a Wuher and Tholme based on these, I think! Also love seeing a Winter. Old Anakin Skywalker looks terrific, and I love that helmet for Klaatu! Quote
Blackice200 Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 Besides, :-) That wasn't actually wall-e. It was- http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/WED_Treadwell_repair_droid Anyways, amazing minifigs! Quote
HJR-Holland Posted August 29, 2014 Author Posted August 29, 2014 (edited) It's Q&A time Great customs, HJR! Are some torsos custom printed (other than the AL one)? There are some arealight customs I used, but another big supplier is Fineclonier who makes custom decals. I used to buy a lot there for various project, but ever since he quit sending doubles of each design, and I'm not a star in applying decals, I stopped buying these things. Couldn't bare it anymore to spend $2,50 on a decal at 1/4 stamp size and then completely £%@# up the application... Ever since Fineclonier no longer sends backup-decals I've gone for alternatives such as the beloved kitbashing. Some of the arms come from little armory although that has also become less ever since LEGO switched from loudhailers to proper guns :-) some very nice figs in there! Who's head have you used for Wuher? Yes, that head is a great one isn't it? It's jackpot for all Wuher fans out there The minifig head is this one from the Lone Ranger license. Garindan looks cool! You make some of these yourself? Errr... I made all of these myself? The Garindan consists solely of LEGO parts; I'll make a picture this weekend to show how it's done Edited August 29, 2014 by HJR-Holland Quote

Slurpifier Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 I'm really liking these customs! My favourite out of all of these has to be the 'Cloud Car Pilot' Quote
Geno Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 Wuher and Garindan really do it for me. I'm also a big fan of The Force Unleashed customs. Quote
Jdurg Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 I'll definitely need to make a Wuher as I'm currently working with a second Cantina set to MOC it like another user has posted here. So a Wuher is definitely needed for that. If you don't mind me asking, what BrickLink part numbers are Wuher made from? Quote
Borador Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 These are some awesome customs! Especially love that Robby! If you don't mind, do you have instructions for it? But really they're all fantastic. Keep it up! Quote
addemlit Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Where did you get your Darth Nihlus? It's amazing!! And what legs did you use for Darth Maul?? Quote
