Faefrost Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 I think the Olaf head would have looked better on a traditional minifig torso with short legs. At least that way it could hold things and have a bit more interactive ability. Quote
legopiratelord Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 (edited) Love the sword wielding Jasmine pic! Reminds me of when she was allowed to take more active roles in the animated series, like this episode. And I'd love to try and make a custom Scourge minidoll to look like this, but then who would she have adventures with? I'm pretty conflicted about this set. The Jasmine minidoll looks great, and I'm happy to have a magic carpet, but everything else about this set is dissappointing. Her 'castle' and surrounding scenery is very mediocre. What exactly is she supposed to do besides eat turkey legs and fall into a fountain? I guess she can fly up high to admire the tiny part of her castle left standing after an apparently devastating earthquake destroyed Agrabah and everyone in it. If only this set would have come with Aladdin....argh! I'm so close to having all the main characters from Aladdin. This set comes with Jasmine and Carpet, the Genie from CMF series 6 pretty much IS Genie from Aladdin, and any of the pirate monkeys make a very servicable Abu. Now I just need the person the movie is actually named after. Is anyone else bothered that there are no males in the 2015 line? Apparently it's just women and their animal / magical snowmen companions. It feels like such a step down from last year when we got Prince Eric,Prince Charming, and Flynn Rider. I guess the larger sets that the guys came with didn't sell as well? I don't know, I've given up trying to understand what Lego is doing with the Disney Princess line. I know I certainly wouldn't have released 2 Duplo and 3 System sets based on The Little Mermaid in the same time frame it took to release just 1 system Frozen set, I would have done the reverse. Anyway, it's clear I'm not Lego's imagined audience for this line. I grew up when these were all just Disney movies rather than part of the Princess Industrial Complex. Dorayaki Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 I feel ya. I mean, for $20, it's alright. Just wish they would have maybe switched it with the Little Mermaid set and maybe make it $55. Great review, I believe that we'll see an Arabian palace set in the future along with Aladin (along with Genie, hopefully). I think the Olaf head would have looked better on a traditional minifig torso with short legs. At least that way it could hold things and have a bit more interactive ability. Microfig instead? Is anyone else bothered that there are no males in the 2015 line? Apparently it's just women and their animal / magical snowmen companions. It feels like such a step down from last year when we got Prince Eric,Prince Charming, and Flynn Rider. It depends on the amount of sets LEGO decide to make in this wave, and the factor that determines characters are scenes. The main problem for this wave could be the lack of King Triton, suppose that the undersea palace is the final version of Little Mermaid castle. As for the Frozen one, LEGO can actually include Hans and the army if they treat it as a licensed action set. Darth Punk Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Target seems to be in full 2015 release mode. I found all the new princess sets today at one of my local targets and was able to pick up Elsa's Ice Castle. A welcome surprise for a certain girl this Christmas. They also had most if not all the new friends sets including the hot air balloon and light house. I didn't have much time so I didn't make a thorough examination. I didn't see any new sets from the other lines. Quote
sunhuntin Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 love love love the frozen set! cant wait to add it to my winter village display next year. would have been nice if olaf had hands, and even printed "hair" would have been better than none. but other than that, love it! hopefully we see kristoff, marshmallow and maybe even hans in the future. TheLegoDr Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 I'm interested in seeing how the Anna cape fits on a regular figure. It looks longer to accommodate the taller figure. But I like the wrap around the neck area. Quote
8BrickMario Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Since the minidoll neck post is smaller than a minifigure's, I don't know if the neck holes in the cape are large enough for a minifigure to wear. Can anyone confirm? Quote

Can anyone confirm? Here's my review: http://www.beardedne...e-castle-41062/ I hope you guys get an opportunity to officially get it before Christmas too. I'm guessing Lego are doing everything they can do deliver this in time. Sadly no, but luckily there are other similiar ones. Edited December 20, 2014 by Dorayaki Quote
EdWebhead Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 My local Toys R Us has all of the new sets EXCEPT the Frozen set. Really bummed that I just missed it. Quote
8BrickMario Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 The Target I went to had some 2015 Friends, but no Princesses. Quote
skelliesgang Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Finally picked up a Frozen set this morning at my local Target. They had a full assortment of 2015 items. I was hoping to score double vip points today but the Lego store on the opposite side of the mall was adamant to the Jan 1st release date. Seems absurd, but their loss. Quote
EdWebhead Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 I had to cross the border for it, but I finally got Elsa's castle. I had to ask the staff at Target to pull one out from the back for me. Quote

I had to ask the staff at Target to pull one out from the back for me. i'm in UK and to get one i had to buy in the little shop in Poland (thankfully they have online shop as well) get it send to my mum (no international shipments in the shop) and ask her to send it to me. took extra 3 days, and i paid for international express parcel, but it was still worth it, as it added up to much less than UK ebay. suppose my daughter will be very happy this christmas :) Quote
swe3t23 Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 they had the jasmine set at my local target Quote
rollermonkey Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 My local Target had ALL of the 2015 Disney Princess sets on the shelf today. There's a 5 year old who will be very excited to build Elsa's Sparkling Castle tomorrow. :) Quote
Sandy Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 I also bought Elsa's Sparkling Castle last weekend, and I've got to say it's the bee's knees! The capes don't fit regular minifigs, but at least there's two new hairpieces and Olaf's head that can be fitted for figs as well. There was also a new fancy, sparkly crystal piece I just had to incorporate into Heroica RPG: Quote
kaiju Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 The Lego shop in Manchester, UK, had all the new Princess sets on sale today. Quote
Soupperson1 Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 I think the ekes from the little mermaid could've been included in the palace we did get Lucifer after all Quote
Douglas_Jon Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Lego Store Newcastle (UK) has all the new Princess sets apart from Elsa's Castle which will be in on the 2nd Jan. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 Cardiff can't or my sister would have sent a teasing photo through to me when she visited on Friday. (She's a real meanie). It means my bank balance is safe for a while at least! Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 Does anyone have Aurora's Bedroom? I'm wondering what her hairpiece looks like on minifigures. Thanks. Quote
8BrickMario Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 I saw the Aurora set today, but her hair also appears in brown in the new Friends hair salon. I'd like to see it on a regular fig myself. I saw a lone Frozen set at TRU today hiding behind several Cinderella castles. Must have been the only one to survive the stampede! Quote
Mr Meleca Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 I could not believe in what I saw 4 days ago, in Lego Store Orlando. In 3 minutes or less while I was in the queue to pay for my star wars sets: I saw the employee putting 8-10 boxes of Elsa´s castle. 1 minute later I saw my wife running. 2 minutes after, no more boxes. She said the expressions of the girls were between afraid of loose it and ecstasy to have it. She showed the box to my 2 yo girl (who doesn´t know the movie) and the girl did not loose it until I payed for it ( I did not want the set, just the mini figures are good, the set is the worst since the release of the friends). Cloveapple Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Bonus pic: Thank you for all those images. I should recognize the torso you used for the bonus picture minifig... but I just can't place it. Quote
