jluck Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Another picture of the S13 Unicorn Girl: [image] Look, if that is indeed the unicorn, and I feel nearly certain it is, it's gonna be one of the most popular CMF figures in the last several series. I'd say it's very possibly inspired by the popularity of the unikitty, which continues to draw attention of collectors. Quote
just2good Posted November 4, 2014 Author Posted November 4, 2014 I just noticed the Unicorn Girl has a purple tail piece! A purple tail with white base? That's a rarity to come by! Quote
rodiziorobs Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 A purple tail with white base? That's a rarity to come by! I see what you did there... Quote
Faefrost Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 The Samurai in this series could be either Miyamoto Musashi or a regular Samurai without an armor and helmet. The Sheriff will be another western minifigure. A Paleontologist will be male, but it could be resembles Dr. Alan Grant from Jurassic Park since we had a female Dino Hunter in S12. Another Galaxy Trooper and Alien Trooper? Maybe they would be a female counterpart of a S7 Galaxy Patrol and S9 Alien Avenger since the S6 Intergalactic Girl is a female counterpart of S1 Spaceman while the S6 Alien is a heroic alien minifig. And the Unicorn girl is really cute. I really want her. I think this is probably fairly close to what we will be seeing. Remember at this early stage we tend to get some rather funky translations. also do not assume 5 females. The number can probably vary some. Also remember that many CMF's tie into past or recent past lines. So Galaxy Trooper probably has some aesthetics from Galaxy Squad. Alien Trooper may be using unused or leftover GS bug alien parts or AC parts. The Samurai may be a misread on a Chinese warrior. (Wasn't there a rumor of a tera cota warrior fig at some point?) Quote
legofanatic12 Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 It think a Samurai should be probable either a Chinese Warrior or any Japanese Warrior. Quote
Roebuck Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 The new Indian cobra (Naja naja) mould looks excellent Quote
Itaria No Shintaku Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 I knew that previous list was a fake. I also foretold the snake charmer in my guessing game. I would Say that fencer and paleontologist will be the remaining females but I wait to see if this is real. Too few city characters to me... Quote
MAB Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 I hope the paleontologist is not female. The research scientist was female. All the minifigs in the Research Institute are female. Whereas the crazy scientist is male, the MF crazy scientist is male. Will lego do a "normal" male scientist? The only ones so far seem to be old space engineers or the arctic ones. I doubt .... the Hot Dog Vendor would be female, as they stereotypically are male jobs, but there's nothing that says they couldn't be. Really? Loads of hot dog vendors are female in the UK. Quote
lifeinplastic Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Does anyone else think that in the pic of the snake charmer his arms are manipulated in any way? To me, the angle of his elbow looks more acute than obtuse and the hands look closer together than is usually possible for a minifig. A camera trick, photograph editing or a specific mould to allow him to play his instrument? There are many more animal costumes I'd have preferred above a unicorn and I am certain that the fencer will be female. There is a quite a decent mix here (I like a selection of themes). However, I am hoping the palaeontologist will look great as this holds my interest the most. Two that have yet to be discussed much are the King (medieval, Tudor, modern day...) and the Egyptian Warrior (hopefully something without much armour to be used in an Ancient Egyptian civilian diorama). parsom Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Lady Cylops? What a stupid idea. Now I'm waiting for Lady Minotaur. Quote
Itaria No Shintaku Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Lady Cylops? What a stupid idea. Now I'm waiting for Lady Minotaur. They had to reuse the mold after all Quote
SMC Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 ^ But we are now paying £2.50 for reused molds, I now look at these list hoping I won't want many. Quote
robuko Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 This list has me much more excited than the lacklustre s12 figs. Unicorns and space troopers! Quote
Robert8 Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Two that have yet to be discussed much are the King I'm hoping for a printed cape and a new crown mould, maybe like this: Of course, without the cross symbol. Quote
Itaria No Shintaku Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 If the Goblin is a good fig I am ruined Quote
Sir Gareth Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 If the goblin's anything like the old Fanasty Era orcs, I'm buying at least twenty. Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 The only ones that interest me really are...Carpenter and Hot Dog Guy. Now do you think we finally get a hot dog in a bun piece or a claw hammer for the Carpenter.....a chisel in his/her other hand be nice but that might be asking too much ! Quote
Onslaught Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 I'm hoping for a printed cape and a new crown mould, maybe like this: Of course, without the cross symbol. I hope so. Wizard was looking like Merlin. Maybe King will be a copy of King Arthur. We already have a lot of Kings in the Castle sets. So I want to see really special one this time. Quote
Dorayaki Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 (edited) Could it be the army man in the picture? Not to mention the previous prediction list, we can see that there are many existed regular figs in this pic so some of them aren't in this topic. (Ewa, obviously, no.)About the two in this leak: Unicorn girl: The very first mascot character based on mythical creatures. She's goodlooking but not sure if it's a popular design. I personally haven't seen this suit in my real life :p. Snake Charmer An Arabian addition is okay, but to me its individual visual impact isn't bigger than the genies. Cobra is the real star, obviously. About other possible additions: Galaxy Trooper / Alien Trooper Two new Space additions but neither names sound interesting. Hope that one of them is a girl. Evil Wizard / King So LEGO deifinitely give up making regular Castle sets and instead let this theme occupy the CMF line. I do welcome royalty----- but not the medieval theme again. What about something more cultural? Egyptian Warrior It's cultural, but not sure if its design is memorable. Goblin Depends. Lady Cyclops I'd like to see the original one get a mate, but soemtimes it could be relunctant (ex. Lady Robot). Sheriff We've seen some sherrif designs in The LEGO Movie, so hope that another one wouldn't be too familiar. Samurai HUH? Carpenter Uhmm..... anything you wanna say, Mr. Lumberjack? Disco Diva Sounds okay. City female personalities have been working well in CMF lines. Fencer Good. Paleontologyst Depends, just not be too similiar with the Explorer. ResIpsaLoquitur Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Never seen the unicorn suit in real life? Look up something called "Bronycon." Unicorn Girl should be very popular with that crowd. Quote
tafkatb Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 I'll come clean here - I actually knew about the unicorn girl months ago. That's why I put "brony" in my guessing game entry. Quote
Itaria No Shintaku Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 However, reading the names, this series promises to be the best one. If Goblin is a real deal, I'll buy an hundred of that. King and Evil Wizard are very promising minifigures. Also Egyptian Warrior is very appealing. Galaxy Trooper and Alien trooper are very interesting provided they don't mess with them putting a female character. (And alas it can be, since they already made a Galaxy Patrol and an Alien Avenger.... let's hope they don't. ) Sheriff is nice too, even if I am not into western. The others I'm not really interested too much in, but let's see! Quote
CptPJs Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NzY4WDEwMjQ=/z/rX4AAOxyYTRSW5VN/$(KGrHqNHJFIFJOUY6FKYBSW5VNNpQ!~~60_57.JPG And now you've seen a unicorn suit in real life! Well, in a picture of real life. Quote
legofanatic12 Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 (edited) Could it be the army man in the picture? No, its not an Army Man minifig. It's just a Swamp Police Officer from the 2015 City Theme. And it's not also a Sheriff from this series. Edited November 4, 2014 by legofanatic12 Quote
Blakstone Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Since we have already seen the Samurai, I wonder if they will just sprinkle some repeats in series going forward. The Galaxy Trooper and Alien Trooper sounded like repeats too but I double-checked the names and they are just derivative. Must Haves Evil Wizard King Sheriff Fencer x2 Goblin (Possible army builder) Egyptian Warrior (Possible army builder) Samurai (Possible army builder) Nice to Have Snake Charmer Paleontologyst Carpenter Hot dog guy Disco Diva Likely Pass Lady Cyclops Unicorn girl Galaxy Trooper Alien Trooper Quote
