Onslaught Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 The Alien trooper also looks like Crainiac mini figur in the Space Police 3 sets. I have one and I maked him a Castle dark lord for my skeleton army. Quote
8BrickMario Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Indeed it does, but it's much less skull-like, more organic, and more obviously Lovecraftian. Quote
SirBlake Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 I'm really happy with what we've seen so far. The King is great, and a decent crown has been needed for years. Very exciting. I'm still looking for an evil sorceress and some more variety in elves, but I can't complain about this series. Quote
Mike S Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Now this is more like it! Looking forward to seeing better pics but looking like a solid series... Gotta get me that king for sure! Quote
8BrickMario Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 I'm warming up to the Disco Diva. She's a fun counterpart, and a neat "dated" character like the Disco Dude, Hippie, and Diner Waitress. I just hope that afro is dark brown. And I think the Lady Cyclops could be truly funny. We know LEGO's formula for making nonfeminine head moulds feminine is ridiculous makeup and other silly tertiary sexual characteristics, but with that grumpy Cyclops mask, blush and any eye makeup would be hilarious, since it would be so deliberately out of place, and call attention to the bizarre concept of a Cyclops with eye makeup, since there's only one eye. Printing would be feasible on the cheeks and eyelid of the mask, too, so I have good expectations. It's obvious "part mileage" (whenever LEGO tries to get as much usage out of a mold as possible) but they could make her a silly minifigure that doesn't scream "lazy". Also hoping for a new color here. Quote
Jern92 Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Maybe the Lady Cyclops is Leela from Futurama Quote

Also hoping for a new color here. Im actually hoping that the designers made the feminine characteristics as subtle as possible, so the figure would still be at least semi-serious. Maybe the Lady Cyclops is Leela from Futurama We actually know that she uses the same mold as the original Cyclops, so no Leela there; we just havent seen the details yet. Quote
Itaria No Shintaku Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Do you think the alien has an Head like chima figures or that its just a mold all together? Quote
Cagast Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Do you think the alien has an Head like chima figures or that its just a mold all together? It is probably a mold. I have also noticed that there are few minifigures on the other side of the right box. If that box was little rotated right we would see them Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 (edited) They never made a regular male scientist to be coupled with the S11 Female one. And the female paleontologist in LEGO ideas it just a generic female figure with a same parts from LEGO City or Creator. She looks great near City scientist from Arctic base :) Can't wait for this series- the "Lady Oneeye" was fig from my dreams! I'm really delighted with all that castle figs! And I'm really curious what fig is presented on right sideof the front of the box- it could be evil magician (I can see cape) or the Space trooper(seems to be too bulky for wizard-character). 8BrickMario Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 What's Rokit doing in the background? But yes, that picture shows off her mane and tail nicely. Quote
Cagast Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 (edited) It looks like Rokit is attacking them! Is this full picture? It looks like its not Edited November 9, 2014 by Cagast Quote
Borador Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 If the Lady Cyclops has a printed head like the male, I wonder if it wouldn't work well for Likho? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Likho (I wish I had a picture. Stupid Wikipedia!) Quote
Sir Walter Maugham Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 (edited) Wow, that king figure is amazing. I've wanted a crown like that for years and years... and years. The new cape is just icing on the cake. The Egyptian Warrior looks good. I can't tell from that picture, but I hope that his khopesh is metallic silver, just for variety's sake. No images of the three most anticipated minifigures for me yet: Goblin, Samurai and Fencer. I'm really hoping that the samurai figure is actually a miko/shrine maiden, not just an evil samurai. It would be a very unique and interesting figure IMO. But perhaps too religious... That didn't stop TLG from making a Battle Goddess though. A figure just called "female samurai" with miko-like clothes would work too. Hell, it happens in anime and manga all the time. (Never have understood why) Edited November 10, 2014 by Sir Walter Maugham Quote
Robert8 Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 (edited) About the Samurai.... In Series 3 we got a "Samurai Warrior". This one is just a "Samurai". So... It's a Samurai that is not a warrior... Is that even possible? If the minifigure is an evil counterpart for the S3 one, the name would be "Evil Samurai", just like the S11 Evil Mech, the S8 Evil Robot and the S13 Evil Wizard. I'm guessing a woman: an "Onna-bugeisha" If the Lady Cyclops has a printed head like the male She does. She is a recolored S9 Cyclops. A cheap way to reuse a mould, just like the S11 Lady Robot. I'm guessing the next one will be the Gingerbread Woman.......... or Lady Yeti Edited November 10, 2014 by Robert8 Quote
Artanis I Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Yeah, so looking at it again, it is very possible that the bags/packets only look like cardboard because of the non-fluid nature of digital images. Phew. But they look very consistent in their spacing, so I hope you can appreciate how I got that impression. I thought it was a photo. The red text says "Enter your code & WIN" with Lego Minifigures logo in the red box underneath. So I'm guessing that the grey stuff is related to that. Quote

I think that grey stuff is the goblin hanging upside down, and that little red thing next to its head has the shape of Pinocchio, but that's probably wishfull thinking :-p Quote
Venkefedo Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 That crown looks great! Nice to get a change from the one we've had for so long, with hair attached...and a brown Gnome/Santa beard, it seems! More dwarven variety, coming right up! ...now if only they'd find a way to give us a tankard... Quote

Is the Cyclops purple? If so, I hope the face is just a bit feminine, yet still scary. That would work perfectly. Gingerbread Woman would be cool. Lady Yeti isn't really needed, since female Yetis (I assume) don't look different from their male counterparts. Quote
rodiziorobs Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Lady Yeti isn't really needed, since female Yetis (I assume) don't look different from their male counterparts. It would probably come with a plume attachment hole in the top of the headpiece, and a medium lavender bow accessory. Quote
telaruhn Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 It would probably come with a plume attachment hole in the top of the headpiece, and a medium lavender bow accessory. Or worse, the bow is just printed on the headpiece :( Some more in-depth speculation/observations: Sheriff: Looks like his hat is dark brown variant of the Lone Ranger's, with the printed star of course. It also looks to me like his holster printing on the front of his right leg might continue to the side of the leg? I also want to see the wanted poster more clearly, because it looks like quite the versatile print for Western themes. Alien Trooper: Still hoping the ray gun is a new mold, and isn't that megaphone-style piece like they used for the Evil Mech's blaster. I wouldn't be surprised if it was that piece, though. Also want a clearer view of the head and torso, It all looks very dark from that angle. Unicorn Girl: Based on all the pictures we've seen, I can confidently say she has no holdable accessories. Her "accessory" is her tail, akin to the Lizard Man. I love the fact that it's purple! Also pretty sure her horn is detachable, since looks like the Space Miner's drill bit. Egyptian Warrior: The printing on the new shield looks like... Some sort of inverted triangle? I wonder its significance. Disco Diva: I've warmed up to her, I think. Even though nothing on her looks like a new molded piece, it all looks very cohesive and appropriate. Paleontologist: I'm agree with others in that the non-bone accessory is a fossil; whether it's a new mold or a printed tile, I'm not too sure. Loving the short sleeves. King: Still my favorite of the revealed figures. Stoked for the headpiece. The crown even looks to have a red jewel in it. Such detail! Snake Charmer: Still not a fan of the lime green, but the rest of it looks great. From the looks of it, the turban doesn't have a spot to put a jewel or feather like the Genie. Hmm... Lady Cyclops: Based on the photo, she'll be some sort of gray, and darker than her male counterpart. Still wondering what they're going to do that will make her different from the other Cyclops, because the clubs look like the same color. Maybe she has a second accessory that's hiding behind the wanted poster? Carpenter: I hope he has a handsaw or an actual hammer, or maybe both! Not sure what they'll do with this figure, it could go a lot of ways. Samurai: Looks like they want to update the samurai armor/weapon arsenal? It is possible it's a female figure, which would provide a unique take. Goblin: Hoping for short legs, cool skin color and accessories! Fencer: My guess for a fifth female figure. We just had the swashbuckler with a rapier, so another male with a rapier wouldn't make sense. I wonder what the mask will look like, and I hope the rapier is non-metallic, because then it will at least be a unique color. Evil Wizard: Wondering everything about this fig: color scheme, what his hat, cape, beard and staff will look like, etc... Will he have a dress piece like the Wizard? Hopefully. Galaxy Trooper: Not sure what they'll do with this one. Maybe a new gun? New helmet? Maybe re-using the space-armor mould? And what color... Hot Dog Guy: Probably the figure I'm most excited about that with picture that have yet to be released. Though I expect him to have a headpiece like the Butcher's or something similar, I really want him to have a hot dog hat. Seems really quirky and (possibly) plausible to mold. Maybe the hot dog in his hat is removable? Also hoping for a holdable hot dog bun, though I'm not sure how he would hold the bun, considering the hot dogs themselves fit into hands. Or maybe the hot dog and bun are one combined piece? Or no bun at all? Quote
AmperZand Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Wow, that king figure is amazing. I've wanted a crown like that for years and years... and years. Kind of like this king's crown...? Quote
Johnnyeebaby Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 I know there is speculation to when this product is being released amd its pointing torwards jan15 But i was in my local shop last week buying some series 12 and the owner there said that the new series will be out soon ? Quote
Robert8 Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 (edited) Kind of like this king's crown...? The new crown mould is just wonderful. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than that Talking about new moulds. I'm kind of disappointed with the Snake Charmer. A new turban mould is not needed. I would like better a flute mould. Just a stick is a total let down. I know there is speculation to when this product is being released amd its pointing torwards jan15 But i was in my local shop last week buying some series 12 and the owner there said that the new series will be out soon ? The release date is January, 2015. And that usually means the 1st, just like Series 9, Series 6 or The LEGO Movie Series. But I wouldn't be surprised if they push back a little the release date of this series for being too close to Series 12. But, I wouldn't be surprised either if they appear in the shelves before christmas I'll bet that's exactly what the Samurai will look like, or at least, VERY similar to that. And cool, printed head. Is the Cyclops purple? If so, I hope the face is just a bit feminine, yet still scary. That would work perfectly. Gingerbread Woman would be cool. Lady Yeti isn't really needed, since female Yetis (I assume) don't look different from their male counterparts. I think she is purple. And she has a brooch with the same skull symbol the S9 Cyclops has in his belt. I don't think we will get a Lady Yeti, since they alreay reused the mould in the Chima line. That was just a joke. In the other hand, the Gingerbread Woman.......... Edited November 11, 2014 by Robert8 Quote
