jonwil Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 The last use of the Turban for a product from the China factory (where the CMFs are made) was (AFAIK) the Series 6 Genie from a few years back. The question is, could they have re-used that mold for the snake charmer instead of making a new one? Its possible they needed to make a new mold anyway and so they took the opportunity to re-design things. Quote
nivam Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Do we know they are going to be released? Quote
Itaria No Shintaku Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Do we know they are going to be released? January as it has been stated no more than three posts ago :) Quote
MAB Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Wow, that king figure is amazing. I've wanted a crown like that for years and years... and years. Hopefully the crown and the beard are separate parts, and not like the combined one from Abe Lincoln. Quote
AmperZand Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Hopefully the crown and the beard are separate parts, and not like the combined one from Abe Lincoln. It's hard to tell from the picture, but it looks like it may be one piece. I too would prefer if it were two parts, but I don't think it will be. Quote
tafkatb Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 It looks to me like the beard is a recolor of the one from the Fisherman and Santa figures, maybe? Quote
TheLegoDr Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 I assumed the beard was the one just stated above. I don't see why they'd make a mold similar to that beard and attach it to a crown that they could never use again. I think they will be separate. As far as the evil wizard, he can be seen on the box in the picture on that website. It is a small picture, but he definitely has the wizard/dracula cape in a dark color. Quote
Cagast Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Can somebody show the full new 2015 picture with Rokit and Unicorn Girl and crocodile to see are there more minifigures on that picture? Quote
gedren_y Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 The beard on the King does look like a recolor, but there looks to be hair as part of this crown mold. Quote
Mencot Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Judging from what we have so far, the king fig is the only one I look forwards for. But that can change when we see the final official images. The King is a blast, and a new crown piece. Finally! It has been long overdue for a new one, the old one hasn´t ever been a good crown for any other than war and battle use. Quote
Pulp Detective Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 probably I'm the only one who looks foward seeing the new samurai minifig Quote
Ardelon Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 I assume the gnome beard, and a crown+hair mold. Im not as thrilled about the new crown as some, as I find it more limiting than the old piece - limited to brown-haired characters. Quote
Sir Walter Maugham Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 probably I'm the only one who looks foward seeing the new samurai minifig Nope! I'm really anticipating the samurai minifig too. Even if it's not a miko like I want, there's still the possibility of TLC reusing that LoTR spear in a different color for a naginata. (It would be so perfect) Or maybe a new kabuto crest even. Quote

Amazing Bricks Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 (edited) I'm not able to put better pictures of the snake charmer and the unicorn girl right now, but the cobra is DARK GREEN. Edited November 11, 2014 by amazingbricks Quote
figura Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 I will wait for proper pictures before judging them. For series 12 even those didn't do them justice, having them in hand made them appear a lot greater than I would have anticipated. Quote
Dorayaki Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 This is the full picture:Nina! Offtopic, is that sheep a Duplo mold or a possible recolor lamb in 2015?Just like the previous leak pic, Unicorn Girl was the only leak in these issues and it should be intentional. Quote
gedren_y Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 The sheep is the current Duplo model. The Unicorn Girl is obviously an appeal to the My Little Pony fans. Quote

I don't see why they'd make a mold similar to that beard and attach it to a crown that they could never use again. I think they will be separate. I guess it depends where the existing molds are. The CMF are manufactured and packaged in China, so it will probably be cheaper for them to make a new mold for a hair plus crown plus beard, than it is for them to make a new crown plus hair mold and a new beard mold. Remember they make a lot of new molds for the CMF, especially headgear - we now have many types of exotic headgear due to this range. I'm really hoping it is separate, so the beard can also be used for dwarves and the crowns for castle themes. Quote
telaruhn Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 The man in the 5 looks kind of looks like a carpenter, but I doubt that's the case since he doesn't look too special (no new moulds/pieces). The King's beard is most definitely separate from the crown/hairpiece, I don't think we need another Abraham Lincoln (cool as it was, I wished for his hat to be on its own). Is the King's gold sword new? Or is it just a gold version of the Hun's sword? Quote
Sir Walter Maugham Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 s). Is the King's gold sword new? Or is it just a gold version of the Hun's sword? The hilt looks angular like the KK2 greatsword to me... But the tip of the sword is more pointy like the current greatsword. I can't really tell. The Unicorn Girl is obviously an appeal to the My Little Pony fans. Yep. As was Unikitty. ... Quote
telaruhn Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 (edited) The hilt looks angular like the KK2 greatsword to me... But the tip of the sword is more pointy like the current greatsword. I can't really tell. That sword style hasn't been around for a while, so this would be a great place to put it. I'd be disappointed if it was just a gold version of the more recent longsword. Also, just because I keep looking at the leaked pictures... On the visible portions on the boxes inside the display case, it depicts from left to right: Disco Diva, Lady Cyclops, Paleontologist, ???, Sheriff, ???, and Evil Wizard. The figure to the left of the Sheriff has a lighter blue torso with darker legs. I'm thinking it's the Carpenter. Could it be a handsaw he's holding in his right hand? The figure to the right of the Sheriff looks like the Goblin. It appears to have short legs and one of those dwarf helms (or maybe even a new helm?) with the huge wings on them. I'm not sure what else would be so wide, because from looking at the names only, none of the figures in this series would have wings or the like. The Evil Wizard looks to have a two-part cape like the Wizard and Alien Villainess, but I cannot make out the color. My gut is going with black. His headpiece also appears to be different from a normal Wizard cap. Edited November 13, 2014 by telaruhn Quote
Hive Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 The beard on the King does look like a recolor, but there looks to be hair as part of this crown mold. I really wish they would stop limiting usage of certain headgear by combining it with hair in a single mold. Quote
Mencot Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 I assume the gnome beard, and a crown+hair mold. Im not as thrilled about the new crown as some, as I find it more limiting than the old piece - limited to brown-haired characters. I think TLG will start using this crown in Castle line instead of the old one. And the color of the hair isn´t a problem, TLG can always change it to another color fitting for the king in the line. But it I can agree on that it would be better with a separate hairpiece witch the crown goes on. But then again that kind of a piece couldn´t be used really anywhere else. Quote
Dorayaki Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Offtopic: not saying that I don't care about the King, if there is an option for seperating the hair from other molds, may I choose Simpsos? I think hair with hat is pretty much like a trend. LotR has given many figures like that. Quote
