CMP Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 The Fantasy Era trolls will be useful for that. Luckily, I have plenty of those Those are the wrong color. I'm loving that goblin hairpiece. Looking forward to the rest. Quote
Robert8 Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 (edited) Hoping for the Hot Dog guy's torso and legs if he removed his hot dog costume. He should be a hot dog vendor who dressed in Hot Dog costume like the S3 Samurai has it. I think the Hot Dog Guy will have black legs and a black plain torso, like the picture (with white hands) And as for the accessory, I think he will get two tiles to represent pamphlets. Those are the wrong color. Oh, I just checked and they are of the same shade of green of Lady Liberty I think my Goblins will be of a weird species with olive green ears Edited November 16, 2014 by Robert8 Quote
strangely Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 (edited) That goblin hat is too vertical to be Green Goblin's, at least not in any of the versions that wore the purple floppy cap I remember. I will agree that the cap length is shorter than usual, but other than that it's almost completely a match (And the exact length of the hat has varied from artist to artist). I mean the widows peak seems awfully specific. They could have just recolored the elf hat since it's just the same type of hat except shorter and with a rounded brim if they just wanted to throw out a generic goblin. I think it's pretty likely that Lego designed this piece with multiple uses in store. And it wouldn't be the first time Lego used the CMF to introduce a piece that ultimately was used in a licensed set. The forest maiden's hair was used for Leia within the same year even, and otherwise that piece hasn't been used at all. And we know Lego has a limited budget for each set, so introducing a new mold in the CMF would be a good cost cutting measure. On another note I think the hot dog guy might be my favorite CMF to date. I've been tiring of the animal costumes and this has been a welcome and unexpected change. legofanatic12 Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 (edited) Since the hot dog guy in this series is a guy in hot dog suit, soon the Hot Dog Vendor will probably in Series 14. I think the Hot Dog Guy will have black legs and a black plain torso, like the picture (with white hands) Black legs and black plain torso with white hands?? Those parts could reminds me of a non-clown or mime black and white character like the Spooky Girl in S12. Edited November 16, 2014 by legofanatic12 Quote
sunhuntin Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 loving the hot dog suit guy and unicorn girl. 2 must haves, until the pretty pictures on the box convince me other wise... Quote
SirBlake Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 This is great news. Hot dog suit is hilarious, but that goblin piece is fantastic. The continued execution ov the Boudon designs is a wonderful thing and I can't wait to see the rest of the fig. I've said it before, but we really need those Boudon elves too. Quote
Venkefedo Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 I think my Goblins will be of a weird species with olive green ears The CMF Cyclops and SW's Kithaba have olive green heads, too... Both would probably look great in this hat! I particularly like the thought of some Kithabas wearing the hat to make em another species of goblinoid. Came wait to see the full thing! My own custom TCW Weequay goblins could use the company Quote

Looking at that Leia / Forest Maiden hair, it seems abundantly clear to me it was designed specifically for Leia, even if the Forest Maiden actually appeared with it first. This new cap with ears fairly screams "The Green Goblin" to me. (Actually, do we know that it's being used in the Minifigures line at all, and isn't meant just for a Spidey set in the Superheroes line?) Quote

This new cap with ears fairly screams "The Green Goblin" to me.I think as long as it's available for a nonlicensed set, it can still be for another one in the future. I can see the both FM and the Goblin piece for a Castle/Fantasy/Elves set in the future, like the Fortune Teller's cas.The difference with the video game GG is that his ears weren't seperate. But would it take time before we can see other non-TASM Spiderman sets? Edited November 17, 2014 by Dorayaki Quote

telaruhn Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 I doubt the Goblin headpiece is going to be used for the Green Goblin, at least for the time being. It may look similar, but the cap is brown. Green Goblin's is purple. His ears are also more of a bright green than the green in the picture. So I think (hope) this headpiece is for the CMF Goblin. On another note, I might buy that Ultra Agents set, if not only for that new helmet (the rest of the set is pretty awesome too). Then, if the Galaxy Trooper gets a helmet I don't like (aka if it's like the Space Miner's) I can switch it out. That is, considering the Ultra Agent's helmet will match the Galaxy Trooper. Quote

Yes, the color is different than the Green Goblins, but that doesn't mean anything. The piece is probably going to be used in the CMF first, but that doesn't mean they can't make a differently colored version later. Changing colors is easy. Quote
Borador Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 I seriously doubt that they'd put the Green Goblin in a brown hat. In fact, I know they won't. It's a pretty safe bet that that is for the CMF Goblin, but even if it isn't, it's not for the Green Goblin. They'll probably reuse that mold for him, sure. That's also a pretty safe bet, but I'm pretty sure that the piece picture is not for him. The front ruins the hat for Link, at least for me. I agree, though I'm almost 100% sure that isn't going to stop anyone from using it. The situation is pretty desperate after the license was rejected twice, and I'm pretty sure this is close enough to satisfy people at this point. If I may be honest, I still don't think it'd pass. But I'm pretty sure the fans will try. Why not? Quote
jonwil Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 I think the main issue is that Nintendo is unlikely to be willing to license to LEGO even ignoring any questions about whether the right molds exist for Link. Quote
gedren_y Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Nintendo licensed with K'Nex and they have a competing line of figures. Official Lego Link isn't going to happen people. I think it is now possible to make a decent version, though. The Christmas Elf hat, CMF Elf face, Pizza Delivery Guy's arms, a Forestmen torso, Hula Girl skirt, and either olive green (tights version) or yellow (no tights version) legs. About the new figs; from what's available, I think I'll be looking to get quite a few of these. Quote

K'Nex isn't the major problem, Though they're indeed a competitor of LEGO, they only make Super Mario products and don't touch the rest of Nintendo franchises. And still it's too early to discuss a product of a non-existed license. We may just say that future Ideas members could use these elf hats and hairpieces for a fan Zelda project. Quote

Venkefedo Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 The Monster Fighters' Frankenstein's Monster! That'd be another great head to use with this olive-eared hat. I've already got one of those heads with some Moria Orc hair/ears on it for some sorta half-orc-type fighter among my Castle heroes. Quote
ToaDraco Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 (edited) There is also this picture in the pockyland.net. Is this the Galaxy Trooper or one of the minifigs from sets ? I would absolutely love it if that incredible looking helmet appears in other sets and colors aside from Agents. I for one would love it in black and trans apple green. Perhaps it will be used in another space minifig like the space trooper. Edited November 19, 2014 by ToaDraco Quote
AmperZand Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 The Monster Fighters' Frankenstein's Monster! That'd be another great head to use with this olive-eared hat. I had the same idea. I've got a spare one of those as well as some of the olive green Moria orc heads. I'm looking forwards to using them to add variety to my S13 goblin horde! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there are at least four goblins per box of 60 minifigs, hopefully more. Quote
just2good Posted November 21, 2014 Author Posted November 21, 2014 And cool, printed head. Is the Cyclops purple? If so, I hope the face is just a bit feminine, yet still scary. That would work perfectly. Nah, she's sand or light blue. Smiling face, eyelashes. Cute. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Nah, she's sand or light blue. Smiling face, eyelashes. Cute. How do you know this, have you seen other pictures of series 13? Quote

SirBlake Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 The cat is out of the bag on more than half of these figs, I wish they'd go ahead and throw official pics at us already. Last series was great and this one is looking promising too. Let's get to it. Quote
Robert8 Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 (edited) In their 3 quarter 2014 report, Funcom confirmed that S13 minifigures will get a code, just like S12. I guess that was kind of predictable, but anyway now we have a confirmation According to them, S13 will added to the game in a few weeks. Rumor has it, there is a Western World in the works, so probably the S13 Sheriff or the S12 Prospector will be the "hero" of that world. Edited November 22, 2014 by Robert8 Quote
