Robert8 Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 (edited) Hot Dog Guy is great, though I bet Lego had a heck of a time justifying production of that single-purpose mold (unless a future wave has "Polish Sausage Guy" in a different color). I could see the Hot Dog costume mould returning on a City set. It's unlikely, but not impossible. Perhaps with some little changes on the printing and colors, to protect the exclusiveness of the Hot Dog Man minifigure Edited January 3, 2015 by Robert8 Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 The disco diva is really not so interesting. We tried to get the snake charmer but turned up with too many evil wizards instead Quote
Cagast Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 I would love to see Polish Sausage Guy! Or at least Hot Dog mould in different colors so the sausage becomes brown. Quote
Monkey Joe Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 How have people been attaching the Kings cape without getting folds in it? Quote
KCMatze Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Kings cape(s) are horrible to put on, I think... Not that I have any folds, but it just stands back hard with 2 cloth pieces PLUS beard AND crown/hairpiece. He always looks as if he is running real fast... Here the new capes might (I say might because I still have not had one in my hand) have been the better choice. You would not see the thick scarf neck area, because of his beard... Quote
Robert8 Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 He always looks as if he is running real fast... I think it was made that way so he can sit on the horse easily. That's the only explanation I can think of Quote
KCMatze Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Hum...did not think of that! Maybe, but still I do not really believe that it was planned this way Quote
BrickSev Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 I'm awaiting for series 13 to hit the shelves in my city (little city in what has become a forgotten country, concerning Lego sets releases, among other things) so I today I ordered 16 bags from Lego shop. I can't wait to see what they hold. Anyway, I just read the official background story for the Alien Soldier Minifigure: so brilliant Many funny references to classic Sci-Fi concepts. Really brilliant Quote
telaruhn Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 I'm actually very pleased with the bios this time around. Many of them made me chuckle. The Samurai's was refreshingly poetic, especially the last sentence. Quote

The Samurai's was refreshingly poetic, especially the last sentence. I agree Sadly I got bad news. I just got an email from Lego telling me they had to delete my order of Series 13 Minifigures because they are not currently available. Strangely the site list them as "out of stock, will ship in 30 days" (which usually means: "we'll send them to you later") but they have been removed from my order. I called the customer service and I talked with a very kind lady. She said she has no "official information" since "she knows what we customers know" but her personal opinion is there will be another production run. I'd really love to have those Minifigures. As soon as I notice them on the shelves (I hope I'll find them) I'll buy all I can, just in case It was going to be my favorite of the recent Minifigures series Quote
SirBlake Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 After one early sighting a couple of weeks ago, series 13 is nowhere to be found in my area. Targets reset the Lego aisle and all are restocked with series 12. :-/ Quote
Bricknblue Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Hot Dog Guy is great, though I bet Lego had a heck of a time justifying production of that single-purpose mold (unless a future wave has "Polish Sausage Guy" in a different color). CMF don't seem to need to follow the "Let's reuse the molds" rules. We had chicken suit guy too that's never really going to be used again. They are made in China so the cost out does the new mold costs. I called the customer service and I talked with a very kind lady. This happened with series 12 about a month or so ago, simply just went out of stock, now they are back and for only $2.99 (in the USA). Quote
BrickSev Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 This happened with series 12 about a month or so ago, simply just went out of stock, now they are back and for only $2.99 (in the USA). Series 12 is officially sold out here (at least on my country's section of Lego shop site) I'm sure Series 13 will be back soon. What puzzled me what the fact they "cancelled" them instead of treating them like "backorder" items. Anyway, I always check Lego shop regularly so I'll keep my eyes open for some "status" update on Series 13 Quote

And I can explain that! LEGO cancels orders for things if there is no idea for a date when something comes back. They rather cancel it now, then wait and then the item never comes back and they cancel it weeks or months from now. Quote

Probably cheap molds since these things are only on the market for such a short time resulting in lego Not being out that much for a single use thing vs regular made stuff that tends to remain on the market for at least a year or two. I'm hoping to find the figs on sale for really cheap since i REALLY want 2 Hot-dog guys so i can get my hands on a couple of those really epic plain torsos. The MVP in the lego minifigure world for me are plain torsos that have a million and one uses. Red bob torso is my favorite. I've used it to make a lego bob, a female bob, a pharaoh, a pilot, a replacement for an emmet that met the wrath of t-jo when he was snatched when i turned away for a second, and was a contender for being in a moc i'm doing. I only miss the Hun Warrior and Prospector from Series 12 and I really wanted to get them. They may not be the best of the series but I wanted to use the Hun Warrior as leader of a little mercenary group in a fantasy/historic project. With all the Series 12 bags I bought I found an army of player and swashbuckler Minifigures. Now they are gone from my local online Lego Shop and from any store in my city as well. Thanks for the info So I guess that means Series 13 won't be back in stock very soon. Well at least I'm quite sure there will be another production run Quote
Jern92 Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 This hasn't even arrived in NZ yet, and won't for another couple of weeks. But I did get a friend of mine in the States to get me a few packs, and he's flying over today, so keeping my fingers crossed that it's the figures I want! Wish I could've taught him how to feel for them, but he's not a Lego enthusiast and it'd just take too long :-P Quote

fred67 Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 Anyone seeing these showing up yet on stores ?? I haven't... my usual spots (besides the LEGO Store) either don't have them out, or are trying to get rid of old series 12 and Simpsons. Quote
samurai-turtle Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Anyone seeing these showing up yet on stores ?? I found them in two different stores (Target & Wal-Mart) in Fort Wayne, IN. Quote
Trace17 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 I found the last 3 bags from a case on Dec 24 at a Target, and have not seen them again since then. But I've only looked at 3 targets/4 Walmarts in the past two weeks. Have any been spotted at Walgreens or Barnes & Noble? Quote
