I have been through 4 different cases at least, have 10 each of the goblin, Egyptian Warrior and Space Trooper, and there have been NO hot dog men! I figured this would be popular, but not like this. All but one of the case were at least 2/3 full (or maybe multiple cases combined) so I really expected to have one in hand by now.

Too bad at my local TRU, they restock Series 12 instead of 13. It's just released this year, but it finished fast.

They have still Series 12. Interesting. It should be sold out, so they must have found some old stock.

Btw Series 13 seems to sell very fast. Consider it went backorder on Lego Shop (at least here in Europe) after just few days :classic:

LEGO uploaded this video on their official You Tube account: "How to Trick a Hot Dog Man"

I don't recall a minifigure being so highlighted on a CMF series as the Hot Dog Man

Almost every store (Target, TRU, Wally World) in my area all restocked with series 12 in the last two weeks and poor Walgreens is still sitting with a peg full from the first and only box they got last fall.

I even found some Simpsons. But I didn't pick any up.

Maybe Series 12 didn't do as good as they were expecting.

But Series 12 was the first regular series at $4 and was the only series of 2014 with just 3 months on the shelves before the next one, so I think it's understandable...

It also called my attention that the video shows the S13 minifigures heads being "stud hollow", despite they actually being "stud recessed"

I knew about the Series 8 one, but I didn't know it was made by LEGO.

I've never seen the Series 6 one before. It's kinda weird. I've never heard the CMF's actually speaking, just making funny noises. None of them even said a single word in The LEGO Movie, as far as I can remember.

Err... no they are Mind Flayers, a very well know creature in the D&D universe.

Well I just said they remind me of that "Skyrim thing" :classic:

I'm not very expert about D&D. All the RPG I had the chance to "explore" were set either in Warhammer 40K or Star Wars universe and so they were published by Fantasy Flight Games not Wizards. There is never enough time for every interesting hobby :classic:

I was looking at the box from Toy Fair, and I can't tell if the series color is black or a dark eggplant purple color. The lighting makes it look dark purple, which is great, since it's a new color for the series, unlike the recycled yellow and green colors from Series 12 and 13.

Hail the mind flayers.10964678_10152771742748440_1043802763_o.jpg?oh=9e00493d1132449f6f62de7ca4035c7c&oe=54D403B9&__gda__=1423178920_cf7d948f995ecb9824b187a35402e161

That's exactly what I did, but only once.

I picked up the king, a goblin, the space invader and evil wizard from Target. The end cap price was $4.99! They rang up at $3.99, though, so that was a relief. I had a giftcard I'd been saving since Christmas, so I was getting them either way.

I found 2 hot dog guys, and gave a woman one for her husband. I don't care about hot dog guy. The Goblin was surprisingly hard to find, (or identify?) couldn't find the female samurai, her and more goblins are the only ones I'm after. It seemed like every third figure was a space marine guy, or female cyclops.

I think you sadly run into some "left over" from someone who "felt" for those Minifigures inside that box. Lady Cyclops shouldn't be that common. Actually a box contain more Goblins as well Kings and Alien Troopers than Cyclopses.

Regarding the Samurai there are three of her in a full box (but then there is the left over issue, unless you buy a sealed box)

I made few calculations and since I wanted multiple of several Minifigures I came to the conclusion I would have spent less money buying a full box and so I did but, of course, if you want just one of each a full box it would be a very high investment :classic:

The front and back printing on Egyptian Warrior's torso is identical.

I don't know if it's been said, but I just noticed it... Doesn't really bother me, but I found it interesting.
