Rogue Angel Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 I have been through 4 different cases at least, have 10 each of the goblin, Egyptian Warrior and Space Trooper, and there have been NO hot dog men! I figured this would be popular, but not like this. All but one of the case were at least 2/3 full (or maybe multiple cases combined) so I really expected to have one in hand by now. Quote
legofanatic12 Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Too bad at my local TRU, they restock Series 12 instead of 13. It's just released this year, but it finished fast. Quote
CoolerTD Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 (edited) I have made a video of speed unboxing and building box of 60 minifigures It takes 27 minutes :)) Edited January 30, 2015 by CoolerTD Quote

Interesting. It should be sold out, so they must have found some old stock. Btw Series 13 seems to sell very fast. Consider it went backorder on Lego Shop (at least here in Europe) after just few days Quote
Super Goblin Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 The king looks good without the beard. Quote
Robert8 Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 (edited) LEGO uploaded this video on their official You Tube account: "How to Trick a Hot Dog Man" I don't recall a minifigure being so highlighted on a CMF series as the Hot Dog Man Edited January 31, 2015 by Robert8 Quote

Consider it went backorder on Lego Shop (at least here in Europe) after just few days Almost every store (Target, TRU, Wally World) in my area all restocked with series 12 in the last two weeks and poor Walgreens is still sitting with a peg full from the first and only box they got last fall. Robert8 Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 (edited) Another Series 13 video uploaded on LEGO You Tube account: "How to Make a Sad Unicorn Girl Smile" Edited January 31, 2015 by Robert8 Quote
just2good Posted January 31, 2015 Author Posted January 31, 2015 With all these promotional videos, LEGO is really making this the most advertised series... Quote
Robert8 Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 (edited) Maybe Series 12 didn't do as good as they were expecting. But Series 12 was the first regular series at $4 and was the only series of 2014 with just 3 months on the shelves before the next one, so I think it's understandable... It also called my attention that the video shows the S13 minifigures heads being "stud hollow", despite they actually being "stud recessed" Edited February 1, 2015 by Robert8 Quote
SMC Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Pick up 7 today and they all look really great. Quote
legofanatic12 Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Maybe they will restock Series 13 at every local stores next month along with the rest of 2015 sets. I hope they don't restock Series 12 or Simpsons series again. Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 6 and 8 series was also advertised: Quote
Robert8 Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 (edited) I knew about the Series 8 one, but I didn't know it was made by LEGO. I've never seen the Series 6 one before. It's kinda weird. I've never heard the CMF's actually speaking, just making funny noises. None of them even said a single word in The LEGO Movie, as far as I can remember. Edited February 2, 2015 by Robert8 Quote
BrickSev Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Hail the mind flayers. It looks like something in the style of "Hermaeus Mora" from Skyrim Quote
Itaria No Shintaku Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 It looks like something in the style of "Hermaeus Mora" from Skyrim Err... no they are Mind Flayers, a very well know creature in the D&D universe. Quote
BrickSev Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Err... no they are Mind Flayers, a very well know creature in the D&D universe. Well I just said they remind me of that "Skyrim thing" I'm not very expert about D&D. All the RPG I had the chance to "explore" were set either in Warhammer 40K or Star Wars universe and so they were published by Fantasy Flight Games not Wizards. There is never enough time for every interesting hobby Quote
8BrickMario Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 (edited) I was looking at the box from Toy Fair, and I can't tell if the series color is black or a dark eggplant purple color. The lighting makes it look dark purple, which is great, since it's a new color for the series, unlike the recycled yellow and green colors from Series 12 and 13. Zarana-X Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 (edited) Hail the mind flayers. That's exactly what I did, but only once. I picked up the king, a goblin, the space invader and evil wizard from Target. The end cap price was $4.99! They rang up at $3.99, though, so that was a relief. I had a giftcard I'd been saving since Christmas, so I was getting them either way. I found 2 hot dog guys, and gave a woman one for her husband. I don't care about hot dog guy. The Goblin was surprisingly hard to find, (or identify?) couldn't find the female samurai, her and more goblins are the only ones I'm after. It seemed like every third figure was a space marine guy, or female cyclops. Edited February 4, 2015 by Zarana-X Quote

Lady Cyclops shouldn't be that common. Actually a box contain more Goblins as well Kings and Alien Troopers than Cyclopses. Regarding the Samurai there are three of her in a full box (but then there is the left over issue, unless you buy a sealed box) I made few calculations and since I wanted multiple of several Minifigures I came to the conclusion I would have spent less money buying a full box and so I did but, of course, if you want just one of each a full box it would be a very high investment Quote

telaruhn Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 The front and back printing on Egyptian Warrior's torso is identical. I don't know if it's been said, but I just noticed it... Doesn't really bother me, but I found it interesting. Quote
