ficbot Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Does anyone know how much the hotel will cost, so I can prepare myself? :) Quote

Jern92 Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 £89.99 or around $99.99. Argh time to start saving up! Quote
Poisso3 Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 *fapfapfap* New pieces are always welcome! Quote
El Garfio Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 I hope finding the hotel next Xmas at the same price the shopping mall was last Xmas €70-€80 and take profit of early buys discounts (20%-30%) and have it for a little less of €60. If it happens, probably I will buy 2 and modularize it. Quote
CM4Sci Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 The Toy Fair people have put their video up! Those boxes look awesome! Quote
danimarroquin Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Feeling a little disappointed with that jet , it doesn't look anything like a real jet at all . Quote
wooootles Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 So really the only thing keeping the Grand Hotel from being a CREATOR expert kit is a back wall, and perhaps a few plates in between. That looks like it has an elevator shaft there. It'd be funny and sad at the same time if the Friends line beats the CITY line to a skyscraper condo-style building. Quote
Bricknblue Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Feeling a little disappointed with that jet , it doesn't look anything like a real jet at all . It looks like a plane.... Quote
danimarroquin Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 More like a rocket with that small elevators , vertical stabilizer and still no doors for planes in the Lego world yet . Quote
Soupperson1 Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 More like a rocket with that small elevators , vertical stabilizer and still no doors for planes in the Lego world yet . I think the set had to small of a budget to feature doors. Quote
K4kitty Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 I would have much preferred the jet to be around the same price point as the dolphin cruiser Quote
Bricknblue Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 More like a rocket with that small elevators , vertical stabilizer and still no doors for planes in the Lego world yet . The huge jumbo jets LEGO makes has doors. Quote
DD840 Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 http://brickset.com/article/14226/friends-box-images more pics but no grocery store yet :( Quote
Bricknblue Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 The kiosk is stunning. You get skates in orange, some of those new tan pieces that the hotel has. All the little titles that are most likely printed. It's very very nice! Quote
jonwil Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 The jet looks to me like a Friends version of set 3181 (although with crappier wings and engines) Quote
Bennemans Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 I'll just place this here for easy viewing: courtesy of Brickset: http://brickset.com/article/14226/friends-box-images The kiosk is stunning. You get skates in orange, some of those new tan pieces that the hotel has. All the little titles that are most likely printed. It's very very nice! I agree! I think this is gonna be my go-to set, like the Lemonade Stand has been the past year. Loads of nice and useful parts! Quote
Bricknblue Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 The little Jungle hut with the squirrel and the Lemonade stand were probably the winners of best pieces in a cheap set last year, this kiosk is up there. I'm glad LEGO isn't making us buy the (I'm guessing) $130USD hotel to get the nice little detail pieces. I'm also glad LEGO made a new piece like that because the Castle lion head piece is a little useless, too big looks weird in a lot of sets. Can't wait for that piece in a grey color. And what is the piece name? Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Looking at a Brick Show video from NY Toy Fair that hotel is just the best Friend's set produced so far in the whole theme but I have an issue with the private jet.......the tail.......I can see this one ending up on Air Crash Investigations ! Quote
just2good Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 (edited) I can see this one ending up on Air Crash Investigations ! Don't worry, they're safe- there's no pilot included in the set. Edited February 15, 2015 by just2good Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Don't worry, they're safe- there's no pilot included in the set. Perhaps the plane uses this........ Now to keep on topic.......no sign of the grocery store......makes the tiger think - retailer exclusive. Quote
tafkatb Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Interesting new piece - check out the spinner rack in front of the kiosk and the countertop in front of the mirror in the dressing room. A 1x1 round tile with an extension that holds accessories like hair bows and sunglasses! Quote
dr_spock Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Oh cool. The rear of the tour bus slides out to make a stage in the mid-front of the bus. Quote
Sir Brickalot Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Those crane hooks are great part usages for hangars for the dresses in the Dressing Room set! Quote
