Posted August 28, 201410 yr Hello folks, I am collecting parts for building the MB Actros 4150K from Brickforge.de. I have a view questions about that. If you more experienced builders could take a look at the instructions, could someone tell me how I can fit P.F. motors, switches and rechargable batterybox in sted off the old electric parts? Maybe someone could make newer and more easy to follow instructions.
August 28, 201410 yr I dont know that model... A picture or link might be usefull... Link. To OP: if you like building trucks, make sure to check out Designer-Han's excellent work. Edited August 28, 201410 yr by jantjeuh
August 28, 201410 yr Author I have seen huis work. I would like to build one of huis models, especialy the dumptruck and the truck with low loader. But those are expansive to build. And I like the old school design of this truck.
August 30, 201410 yr Author What are the dimensions of the regargable P.F. batterybox. Same width and hight? It is shorter, that I know already.
December 6, 201410 yr Author Hello AFOL’s, I am trying to find the parts to build the actros, used Brickficiency, but even by parting the list in to Technic and non-Technic parts, I can’t even find a combination of 5 stores in 5 different countries. And if I try using my bricklink wanted list and search by store, the price is going through the roof, with only half of the parts I am already over €400,-. Is there no other way to collect parts, but cheaper????
December 7, 201410 yr Author And where can I find ribbed hoses 7mm d.? On Bricklink there are none. Edited December 7, 201410 yr by Dafgek81
December 7, 201410 yr Ribbed hoses 7mm is an own category on bricklink, and even if you couldn't see that, a simple search for "ribbed" would find it for you Edited December 7, 201410 yr by D3K
December 7, 201410 yr Author I know and searched for them, but aren't any for sale. Not in Chrome Silver
December 7, 201410 yr I know and searched for them, but aren't any for sale. Not in Chrome Silver Probably because these were never available?
December 7, 201410 yr Author That would be strange, because the green original has a bullbar with Chrome Silver ribbbed hoses.
December 7, 201410 yr That would be strange, because the green original has a bullbar with Chrome Silver ribbbed hoses. Metallic Silver.
December 30, 201410 yr Author Hello People, Still collecting parts for the Actros, I have a question about the shocks on the front and rear axles. The pictures below show the shocks and I would like to know whitch ones are placed there. February 9, 201510 yr Author Hello guys, Have another question about what pneumatic pump is better to use in my Actros. The old type x191c01 or the new slightly longer 99798c01? Is the new one better and would it give a better airsupply? There are two pumps used in the instructions. Edited February 9, 201510 yr by Dafgek81
February 9, 201510 yr So you're still pursuing this? How's it coming along? The newer (grey) small pumps have a longer stroke, so in effect you will get a better air supply.
February 9, 201510 yr Author Yes I am, have about 2000 of the 4000 parts requiered so far. Hope to build it before the summer, but money supply is slim.
February 9, 201510 yr So you're still pursuing this? How's it coming along? The newer (grey) small pumps have a longer stroke, so in effect you will get a better air supply. Stroke is exactly the same by both pumps, 2 studs the grey one is just half a stud longer.
February 9, 201510 yr Stroke is exactly the same by both pumps, 2 studs the grey one is just half a stud longer. Ah, yes, you are right. The new pump was introduced to make it easier to install right? Sort of what the new transmission driving ring does I thought it had a shorter stroke due to the engine crank shaft piece used in the compressor in 8868
July 7, 20159 yr Author And still collecting parts for my Actros, have al the tires even for a side tipping trailer. But another question, whitch motor is better to use, the older heavier mini 9v motor or the newer lighter version? Or are the the same. Sariel's chart doesn't show both motors, only the older heavier one. Have ordered some hinges I need, hope to get them tomorrow. So think I will start building soon, but have to get a least 1800 parts yet.
July 9, 20159 yr Author Started the build last night, but fit not get that far, due to lack of parts I still need to get. But does nobody have an answer about the motors?
July 9, 20159 yr Are you referring to these motors? Supposedly the right-hand one is stronger and better. However, I have 7 of the left-hand ones, which all still work, and the single right-hand one I have is stuck. I already had it replaced once, because the original also got stuck after being unused for some time. I don't know why though, maybe the internal gearing got rusty or something...
