Posted June 16, 200717 yr Hi guys :-) This is my latest MOC, a medieval observatory. Pic is BS Link It was developed from an entry I made for the Harry Potter contest held on Millionare Playboy. Observatories didn't start appearing in Europe until the late 1600s, so I am using a bit of artistic licence here ;-) Edited June 16, 200717 yr by DARKspawn
June 16, 200717 yr *y* *y* Oooh! Very nice! I saw the contest on MP, but I didn't expect anything as good as this to be on there! I love the balcony, where did you get all those grey cups?! Great detail, excellent job! *y* Just one thing, Exo-force heads don't really go well with castle bodies... Edited June 16, 200717 yr by iamded
June 16, 200717 yr DS: you never fail to surprise me with your outstanding castle MOCs. I think you're one of the best castle "MOC'ers" out there. I like the height of this creation the most. Aside from the stunning towers, I love how you designed the bridge and the river/river landscaping. It actually looks real. How long does a MOC this size take you to build? Truly outstanding! *y* *y*

Sometimes I get to going a little faster than I can handle. DS NOT SD- although you guys do have some similarities. (I suppose like me and Brick Miner).
June 16, 200717 yr man that is awesome, do the towers actully have anythink inside to them (ie stairs etc), or is this just a MOC for show on the outside? the scenery looks great to, love that little river *y*
June 16, 200717 yr So much for my 1 foot tall 3/4 megablocks tower.Yours is astounding. It looks lord of the rings to though.
June 17, 200717 yr Images of this are going into my inspirational lego mocs folder (that's a significant compliment, just so you know *y* ) I like results of the the octagonal "round" towers with the cylinders and the embelishment of each wall as well as the roof's slope bricks useage. It is one of the best round towers out there. The astrologers are pretty gosh darn cool too. Edited June 17, 200717 yr by ghoulrealm

June 18, 200717 yr Author Thanks for the kind comments guys :-D TheBrickster said: How long does a MOC this size take you to build? June 18, 200717 yr I can't begin to say how much I love this thing. While I love the way you built it, with the two interconnected towers, my favorite part is easily the landscaping. I love that stream, and the rocky banks! My one criticism would have to be the top of the tower with the telescope, it's too open for my taste, I know there has to be a better way to do that, and I know you can figure it out (I'll be thinking about it too), and when you compare it to the rest of the MOC, it's a very, very small criticism ;-) Great work, DarkSpawn!
June 18, 200717 yr Another high quality MOC from this magnificent castle builder! It's superb! I love the little details. Especially these: (the way the fences are made): Really beautiful! Where do you guys get so much LEGO.... Mr Tiber Edited June 18, 200717 yr by Mr Tiber
