September 5, 201410 yr Author 3rd Floor + The Roof: ( Bag 3 ) 3rd Floor: * Meeting Room * Classic way of making this Glob..so realistic Done! Remarks: -Nothing much to say about this level as it is just the meeting Room but well designed with these Flower pots and Glob And here is attached to rest of the Floors: The Roof: * This Roof is just awesome. Great building experiences, Great details and very nice looking... * These Year numbers are much easier to build from the one in Fire Brigade... Done! * Awesome Structure: The Clock, bell, Sun Glasses and the ladder,,,they are just the same as the original classic buildings..Well Done LEGO And Finally the Building is all finished.... Overall: - I recommend this set to all Lego Fans especially those who are modular builders collectors and addictive. - Has Many pieces which make the period of building long. - Some nice techniques: Elevator, Big front posts and office accessories My Self, i enjoyed it and i am very happy to have this set.... Hope you all enjoyed this Thread and see you soon in next Project: Palace Cinema-PC FIN @bjorn77: Regarding the 6x24 plate issue, my set also have this issue. September 5, 201410 yr Author Glad to see Town Hall getting some love. I never understand how some people don't like it. This is what I was saying at first. It is always better to see it by ur self instead taking others advice. Cos everyone has his own opinion and thoughts...also some sets when u build them, u start to love them more than you just see/Watch them...:-) Great thread. Thanks for the build/review! Cheers and welcome
September 5, 201410 yr I like TH , and thanks for the review. The only problem I have with it involves proportion. I think it just begs to be expanded. Legosjaak and I have both expanded it. Mine has the same height, but each side is three windows wider. Since we apparently only get one modular a year, I spend a lot of my lego time trying to expand existing modulars. The GE and TH are good candidates for expansion. Some of the others, not so much. Edited September 5, 201410 yr by Off the wall
September 23, 201410 yr I need some advice from you guys... I think I'm gonna skip Town Hall because it's too large for my town layout, and the price range is a bit high for me... And I'm already missed cafe corner and green grocer, so I'm thinking about saving my money to buy green grocer (or Bricklinking it) roughly it's about twice the price of townhall.. But after reading this review, I'm getting interested with this set, because of the interior and the clock tower So what do you think guys? And I'm considering to buy ewok village too.. I hope that my money is well spent Edited September 23, 201410 yr by bayutheoz
September 23, 201410 yr Town Hall is the same width as other modulars so size shouldn't be an issue. While TH is not my favorite, I wouldn't advise skipping it. Read some of the reviews of town hall that show a lot of TH detail and then make the decision based on what you see/like and not the comments of others. I have several copies of TH. One will be modified to be the center of the winter village series as that is begging for a central focal point. In addition, TH has a lot great parts/colors.
September 23, 201410 yr Author I would advice you to buy tje TH as these will be rare and goes up in price soon. It is a great set and after you buy and build it you will even like it more and.i really see it matches the city layout so nicely....:-)
September 24, 201410 yr I liked the TH as it was, but for me, it just cried out to be a bit more ... imposing. So, I took two sets and combined them, removed the lift, added stairs and then made a 3-storey high window on the side. So it's wider (by 12), deeper (by 6) and has an extra storey, with space either side for grounds. That really made it for me, and I bring it to many NELUG exhibits.
September 24, 201410 yr Town Hall isn't bad, it's just that it's a 7/10 set in a series of 9's or 10's. Unless you already have all the others, Town Hall shouldn't be a priority. Also, size can be a problem when you're building a modular street across the top of Ikea book cases. And yes, I would recommend buying Green Grocer rather than TH. It's more expensive but it's also THE best modular, and you can get it cheaper by substituting some parts like the 1x8 bricks in sand green.
August 21, 20159 yr Does anyone have a bag inventory of this 10224 Town Hall kit? Maybe a pic of them? I picked up this kit from someone with most of the lower floor built and a lot of bags marked 2 and 3. Since there were other kits in this mix I'm not sure which bags belong to this kit or to other kits. I tried searching on the web but have not found much to help. Thanks!

Search for "unboxing" type reviews, eg. on YouTube. They usually show all bags. My Town Hall is still sealed, so I cannot help you. Edited August 22, 20159 yr by Vodnik
August 3, 20177 yr I was really pleased when building the bus from set 60154 to find 2 4x8 trapdoor frames in light bley, particularly as they could easily be replaced on the bus as it meant I could change the dark bley frame on the roof of the Town Hall as it has always stood out to me and looked wrong.
