"Question, barkeep, can this food be packed to go?" Or, in other words, do we have to use it the instant we buy it?

av_farrech_barman_zps8706eb62.png

"I cannot pack the food can't be packed. You should eat it here, it should be eaten here. Cold food is not very tasty or healthy, food that is cold is not"

"Yes I do, I do like the music. Where are they from?" Polly pauses for a moment, "Mr. Sanders and I will have a bowl of rice, please."

av_farrech_barman_zps8706eb62.png

"They're from around here. The Orc is an immigrant from abroad, though and the Human comes from southern Dastan. I believe he mostly played in Drakencourt, is where they played most often, but got sick of the life there, so he came up here, because he got sick of the life there. However, the songs they're playing here are mostly Polkung-styled are the current songs. I've got to keep the customers happy, the customers must be kept happy by me, you see."

Can Orel buy a soup?

Lynne orders a bowl of rice as well.

av_farrech_barman_zps8706eb62.png

"Two bowls of rice and a soup are coming up, coming up are two bowls of rice and one soup."

OoC: I'm travelling for the next 5 days, so responses from me will be pretty limited, Capt.JohnPaul can control Polly if needed.

Polly fished out 2 Gold pieces and looked for a hat or something for the musicians.

The musicians thanked Polly by nodding and gave the young girl a wink. They were too busy playing to actually speak to her.

It didn't take the U'Kin patron too long to serve the food and soon the party was eating. Like the U'Kin had said, they felt renewed and eager after their meal.

"If the rooms are cheap, I would not object to using one. I need to hit the hay too, after fighting those wyverns. Tht was a hell of battle, huh?"

QM Note: Actually, the captain of Farrech told you you could ask around for more information at the inn, to find out if anyone knows more about the missionary  . So the goal of the inn is to question townspeople (but you can sleep here, too, if you want, just ask the innkeeper. Sorry if I wasn't clear :classic: .

"Aye indeed. We slew them good." Leofwein speaks loudly, hoping to maybe gather attention from someone nearby.

av_farrech_2_zpsbb9649ab.png

"Who did you slay, armor boy? If you don't mind a girl asking."

Posted

"Hehehe we slayed some Wyverns, and before we got here, some nasty zombie pirates. Who are you?"

av_farrech_2_zpsbb9649ab.png

"Gee, looks like I'm talking to a bona fide slayer here. My name is Katerin. What's yours? Liking Farrech so far, armor boy?"

Posted
"Yeah, I guess you could call us that. Have you been in Farrech long, Katerin?"

av_farrech_2_zpsbb9649ab.png

"About five years, I guess. My dad's an army man, so our family lives here, too. I did like life in the south more, though."

"Leofwein. So far so good. You wouldn't happen to know anything about the father out places would you? With the vikings and such up north? "

av_farrech_2_zpsbb9649ab.png

"I've been north of Farrech before. The Polkung aren't so bad as people make out sometimes. Many of them are actually okay, it's just like with everybody that you sometimes have hardliners. They're descendants of the Vikings alright, but they've lived as a part of the Empire for so long, I can hardly believe they'd actually turn their back on us."

"It's not the people I'm afraid of, the steppes are just a dangerous place in general for a girl like me. You need to be used to living there if you want to survive. Of course, there's the occasional marauder, too... I'm afraid I'm not being much of a help here, am I?"

Polly walked up to the man with the coonskin cap. "They're pretty good, aren't they?"

av_farrech_3_zps8373e23d.png

"Yeah, but not as good as the final cries of dying sabretooth cat, though. Damn, music to my ears that is."

Posted

"Katerin, if we were to go to see the Polkung, what would we need to bring? And are there any customs or something we should know? "

av_farrech_2_zpsbb9649ab.png

"Can't really give you any pointers. They're all about honor and horses and stuff, you know. Do you have business with them?"

Posted (edited)

"The south, huh? We're from Eubric, which I suppose is South of here - most of the world is. Ever heard of the city?

And yes, we do have a bit of business with the Polkung... Potentially, anyway."
