Maxim I Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 (edited) Just in time for the deadline :D I know it will not be a winner. The complete mount is build with the Mouse & Kitty Creatorset (for a small challenge on Brickmania Limburg this weekend) The Struysbird by Maxim I, on Flickr Sir Arof Slanga is one of the few Alleenridders who doesn't love horses. So that's why he choosed a rare Struysbird. Struysbirds are real Kaliphlin desert birds. They may look very stupid or cute, but au contraire, they are very fast, strong and dangerous! Even they are family of the birds, they can't fly long distances. Anyway, I originally wanted to build a bat for the IAMS but as Stedor took too much time this month, I didn't have the time anymore. C&C ofcourse welcome! edit 1: another picture edit 2: I like to claim the UoP credit for brickbuild animal Edited September 1, 2014 by Maxim I Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 (edited) Nice idea! Is it flightless? Edited August 31, 2014 by Lord Vladivus Quote
grum64 Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Cute and interesting build Do you have anymore pics? Quote
Gideon Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Good job considering the limited part selection! Quote
Yzalirk Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Interesting mount but maybe another picture would been better but nice entry. Quote
Maxim I Posted September 1, 2014 Author Posted September 1, 2014 thanks all!! another picture I like to claim the UoP credit for brickbuild animal note: the pictures were last minute taken on an event, so sorry for the blue baseplate :p Quote
Simon_S Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Impressive. We also had this challenge in the SwissLUG and it was very much fun. So I know how difficult it is to build something out of this and you definitely did a great job. Quote
IenjoyLego89 Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Interesting part usage, I like it :) hope the event went well :) Quote
Kai NRG Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Given the pieces you had to work with, you really did a great job with this! The head definitly has the big bug eye look, and the smashed up red tongue (or whatever) does add to it! +1 for UoP credit! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Looks like you made good use of what parts you had access to I like the levers on the head Quote
Maxim I Posted September 3, 2014 Author Posted September 3, 2014 Thanks for the comments!!! At Lenjoy: there were 3100 visitors, what is not bad for a first edition :D Quote
