This would be awesome!  Load it up with army builders.  Orcs, goblins, dwarves, elves, armored knights, etc.

Might as well add a Witch King to the wish list. It'll never happen though. It's been so long since the sets of they ever do LOTR again, they'd probably redo the core characters.

Much like Disney, I think that licensed Collectable Minifigure lines with a broad scope have the potential for a longer life span than a line based upon a single movie or TV show within that franchise. Granted, without a more specific CMS, fans of a particular movie or TV show may not see a broader series give them specific side characters, therefore perhaps making them wish that Lego had never even bothered to touch upon that property to begin with.

As someone who grew up on early to mid 2000's CN and Nick I would buy the heck out of these. 

Especially if it means getting to have a LEGO version of the Nicktoons Unite crew...

If the Sponegbob license is free again, I’d love to have updated versions of the characters with dual molded arms. 

The only shows from a Nickelodeon series that actually interest me would be Rugrats, Spongebob, Fairly Odd Parents, Jimmy Neutron, Danny Phantom, Avatar and Korra. I think 20 interesting enough characters could be pulled from this, but I’m sure Nick would include more recent cartoons like The Loud House too.

I’d rather have a Cartoon Network series in all honesty. Or even a Disney Channel cartoon one!

Funny you say that, after being in this thread I mocked up what Nicktoons and CN CMF series might looks like and happened to include most of those- guess it proves they were the right choices. (Swapped out Rugrats for Chalkzone though due t personal bias.)

2. Teen Ben Tennyson (from Ben 10: Alien Force with Omnitrix printed on his left wrist)
3. Gwen Tennyson with trans-pink 25893 parts connected to 1x2 inverted dishes for her Anodite powers (can be from Alien Force or Ultimate Alien)
4. Kevin Levin with new mold Alien weapon that appeared in the first episode of Alien Force “Ben 10 Returns, Part 1” (from both Alien Force & Ultimate Alien)
5. Ed with 2x3 tile featuring Evil Tim comic book pattern printed on it (new mold head piece with dark green cloth collar for his jacket)
6. Double-D with magnifying glass accessory (new mold head piece with dual molded arms and legs; feet on the red half can be colored turquoise, similar to how Mickey Mouse’s feet are colored yellow)

Your list makes me with I included XJ9 and Zim. I suppose realistically a Nick series wouldn’t be 45% ATLA/LOK, so I’m sure there’d be room for them, as well as classics like Hey Arnold, Rocko’s Mordern Life and Ren and Stimpy. Cartoons such as The Wild Thornberries or Rocket Power would be a bit less likely, but definitely appreciated.

My only problems are Finn, Jake and Marceline seeming a bit useless since they’re already available, and original PPG is a good idea, but the only head mold that would really need changed is Buttercup’s since Blossom looks identical and the existing Bubbles I should actually more accurate to the original Bubbles rather than the new one.

A CN series is definitely harder to come up with choice for, to me at least. A lot of characters don’t translate well (such as Mordecai and Rigby) and I don’t know if a lot of these characters would call for molded heads or not. I’d like to see a Lego Steven Universe but McFarland unfortunately has that license and IMO, actual Lego sets would be much better than inclusion in a CMF series

2. Ron Stoppable — new Rufus mold accessory

Well the opening post did ask "What licensed series would you want to see next?" The entire thread has been a list of wishlists. It has not been based on rumours of new CMF lines.

How about CMS lines based upon classic comic strips?

Particularly, Popeye and Dick Tracy are two long running strips that come to mind that I'd kinda like to see as Collectable Minifigure lines, just as long as the characters' figures don't resort to specialized head molds. Perhaps they may not enough relevance in this day and age, but they both seem characteristically colorful enough for the Lego brand.

So, what comic strips would you perhaps want to see as CMS lines?

Hmm, possibly, especially since the movie is being produced by Warner Bros. under their own WAG (Warner Animation Group). But, if that were the case, that would mean that all three CMSs for that year (unless there were to be four) would be based upon WAG movies (The Lego Movie sequel, The Billion Brick Race, and the Minecraft movie). By then, the would be no room for Series 19 unless The Billion Brick Race got moved to 2020.

For Popeye, I think I'd want them to go down the Simpsons / Mickey Mouse route of moulded heads. Dick Tracy would be fine as normal heads.

 

But are either popular worldwide? In UK, I don't think I've seen either for years.

You could say the same for the German football team and Team GB CMFs. Old pulp or comic strip characters would properly float my boat, but I would see gaining the license as the main issue. Not sure who owns Popeye, Dick Tracey is either Marvel or DC I’m sure.

Eh, if that's the direction a Popeye CMS would take, then I'd immediately lose nearly all interest. For me, the point of caricaturing a character into a minifigure is to tastefully force that likeness into a Lego minifigure, not to force a minifigure into the likeness of that character. What's the point of caricaturing any likeness as a minifigure if you're simply going to slap their mismatched head onto a minifigure torso?
