Alfadas Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 (edited) Part l (sorry about the quality...) "Snow is early this year" Björn thought. Since he found the ring, 10 years past. He inherited the farm 4 years ago. Since then, he was very busy giving orders. His father won a sort of lottery and won a lot of money. He hired a few guys to help on the farm. He also expanded the farm. Unfortunately his father fell of the roof of the stable he was trying to fix. He broke his neck and died. Now, Björn was walking besides a field with crops. "Hurry with harvesting them!" He shouted at the workers. With the snow being this early this year, the crops were needed more then ever. It promised to be a long and very cold winter. None was to be wasted. Suddenly, a guy with a scarf over his mouth and a piece of cloth over his head jumped out of the crops. He pointed his sword at Björn and shouted: "Give me that ring! Now!" "I said now! Give it!" "Drop your sword!" Alfadas shouted as he run to the robber. He was in town, visiting some distant relatives. He heard screaming and decided to check it out. A Mitgardian guard came with him. The thief decided to fight. He lost. Alfadas asked Björn what it was all about. "This ring. Once it was a very powerful ring. I couldn't show it to anyone, I couldn't throw it away. Anyway, it is a long story. Can I invite you to my farm to talk about it?" "Yeah, sure. I could use some company, other than this nice guard." "very well, let's go". This is my AoM Farm Phase ll entry. Hope you like it, C&C welcome. As you have guessed, this story will be continued. Edited September 2, 2014 by Alfadas Quote
Gunman Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Nice story Alfadas! My only CC (not so CC I guess) is that it feets more for a phase 1 moc imo because it needs more content imo. I hope no offense taken dude. Quote
IenjoyLego89 Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Nice story and posing of the figures! :) I do agree with Gunman, it's more like a phase 1. Maybe make the crops fully grown or make farm bigger etc. just my advice but still a good moc :) Quote
mccoyed Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Yeah, good as a freebuild but needs more Farm. Quote
Yzalirk Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Nice little build and nice dialogue. I agree that it could look a bit like a farm though. Quote
Alfadas Posted September 2, 2014 Author Posted September 2, 2014 (edited) Thanks for the replies! And no, no offense taken Farm: 1st Phase; villager with just a garden. 2nd Phase; field with crops. 3rd Phase; farm with field, animals etc. Earned title: Farmer I agree with you guys, but that quote comes directly from the AoM challenge page, and I guess that one is correct. But don't worry, phase lll will have a farm. With stable (if my bricks allow me to build that). Edited September 2, 2014 by Alfadas Quote
mccoyed Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Alf, I think it's just a comparative thing. There's been several AoM farms and your Phase 2 looks more like their Phase 1's is all. It should be bigger and there should be farming going on, it seems like. Your counter-argument is sound, and I especially appreciate that the AoM guidelines have room for interpretation. Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Whilst I would've liked to have seen more, this is a nice build nevertheless! Quote
MKJoshA Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 The nice thing about AoM is that there is flexibility in the guidlines for each phase to account for each person's brick collection. We don't all have a collection like Gunman's, so not all of our phases will be as big as his (love your builds as always Gunman!) That being said, I really like how you have a story going and I'm looking forward to reading more! Quote
Alfadas Posted September 2, 2014 Author Posted September 2, 2014 Thanks guys. I will be working very hard on the Phase lll, to make it, at least for me, very big and phase lll worthy. I know I could have done a better job at phase ll, but it was a quick build, to go between the two main phases. I hope you understand that. Also, as MKJoshA said, not everybody has a huge collection of bricks. I especially, because most of my sets and a lot of my parts are stored away. There is simply not enough room where I live now. I will try to increase my collection, and sneak some sets back from my grandparents house to mine, but for the coming at least 6 months, my collection is minimum. But I will try to make the best of it. Quote
Scaevola Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Nice job Alfadas, though the studs seem a little out of place. Quote
Maxim I Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Nice little build Alf!! It is up to you now to show the rest how an AoM III should look like! :) Quote
MassEditor Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Cool little scene and story Alfadas, look forward to the next phase! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Pretty good field if you have more grass stalks, stacking several of them together makes them look more like a crop and less like grass. Looking forward to Phase 3 Quote
